@@PapagenoMF I have! Back in 1998 when "OH YEAH CARTOONS!" premiered then ended on March 23, 2001, Fairly Odd Parents used to be nothing but pilot episodes. 1 week later. The shows first episode came out on March 30, 2001 during slime time live which was known as Friday night slime time which is nowadays discontinued since 2006.
The Great Gazoo should've gotten his own spin-off.

The writing back then on cartoons was so great the writing on today’s cartoons is horrible and this is a shame.
Hi I am blind and have autism I first started watching the Flintstones when I was 10 I am 20 now I love the Flintstones and this guy actually cured me of my fear of aliens when I was 12 when I was little I had a literal phobia of aliens they made me terrified but when I found out that there was an alien in the Flintstones I started liking them and now I absolutely love them thanks to this little dude
@@jamie.777 well yesterday I got told to stop liking aliens all together because it was seen as inappropriate or wrong to like any sort of alien so I am working on not watching anything that has any sort of aliens in it it’s kind of difficult since I’ve been liking them ever since I was 12 but until yesterday when I was told that it was wrong to like aliens I actually liked him

The worst part about it is that the person that told me to hate aliens was the owner of the special-needs horse riding school that I go to on Wednesdays he told me that if I didn’t hate aliens he would permanently banned me from the place does that count as extortion? Because he said that because he knew how much I love going to the horse riding school I go there every Wednesday I wish I knew why he wants me to hate aliens it is really unsettling in a way he has also accused me of faking my autism even though he knows that that is not the case and that I really am on the spectrum he said that if I didn’t hate aliens not only would I be banned from my favorite sport which just happens to be horse riding but he would also lie to the special-needs organization and tell them that I was faking my autism so that I would stop receiving the assistance that makes me able to go to the horse riding school and have my pave mints done automatically I meant my payments if part of this comment is looking weird it’s because I use dictation instead of manual typing and sometimes it gets a little glitchy but now the people at my special-needs school is going to talk to the owner of the horse riding school and make him stop giving me trouble because I am so tired of being told to be normal and to hate aliens and such it is practically driving me nuts because I go to the horse riding school to get rid of stress not to receive more of it and I really love aliens and being told to hate some thing that you would love in order to keep doing your favorite activity is not only unsettling but it is actually causing a lot of stress and problems
@@fbafoundationalbuck-broken6011 well it just so happens that the person who told me to hate aliens just happened to be the owner of my special-needs horse riding school he knows that I always go to the horse riding school on Wednesdays because that sport actually helps me get rid of stress then I was having a conversation with one of my writing teachers about how much I love aliens and then the guy just came up from behind and grabbed me because he knew that I would get really startled and then he said “ Liking aliens is inappropriate stop that behavior immediately or you will be banned from ever attending your favorite sport ever again if you don’t start hating aliens before next Wednesday I will tell the whole world that you are faking your autism even though I know that is not true and you won’t be able to do anything about it because who are they gonna believe me or this crazy dementia patient who likes aliens!” Then when I got home from my special-needs school for the week and I immediately told my mom and she phoned my special-needs school and got the full story from the person who was driving me to the horse riding school and now she has promised that she will give the owner of the place a stern talking to because it is not OK to be rude to somebody because they have autism like I have and for somebody who is autistic being called a dementia patient is actually very degrading because autism and dementia are not the same thing they are actually the polar opposites having dementia makes you forget sings having autism does the opera said I don’t forget sings I have a very good memory also for your information I am doing very good at the moment I was a little bit sick today because I have my period are usually get sick during my period but I am doing a lot better now I had a terrible headache but I feel a lot better now I am not in any danger I was just very upset about what that person said to me but thank you for the concern also I just finished watching E.T. On Viaplay when that guy on my horse riding school told me to hate aliens I actually considered deleting it from my Viaplay account but luckily one of my friends talked me out of doing that because he knew that that is my go to movies for when I am stressed watching it always makes me feel better if any of this comment looks weird it’s because I use speech to text instead of manual typing and it can sometimes get really glitchy

Stewie is based on Rex Harrison, specifically his role as Professor Henry Higgins in the musical My Fair Lady. In interviews though, I’ve heard Seth MacFarlane say he was heavily influenced by The Flintstones.

I grew up with The Flintstones and The Carol Burnett Show, but it wasn't till years later that I found out Harvey Korman voiced The Great Gazoo! Man, that guy was a true treasure!

Harvey Korman was great. The Great Gazoo (despite his name) was not. The Flintstones writers were clearly running out of decent script ideas when they had him join the cast in the final season.
Then they should have just ended the show without that green little man cause who needs any new characters when we already got all the classic ones for the Flintstones. I mean the Great Gazoo was like Seven from Married With Children, Cousin Oliver from the Brady Bunch, Scrappy-Doo from Scooby-Doo, and Poochie on Itchy & Scratchy in terms of unnecessary additions of characters.
He also was the voice of Don Reynolds in Hey Arnold.
The Great Gazoo was created by a female writer, who based him off someone who worked at CalArts.

Harvey Korman et al, hilarious. I guess they used to try to make each other laugh, and that was more their goal than anything. Now I've seen all the skits so many many times that's all I look for; their desperate (futile) attempts to be straight faced during takes.
And that's even better.
Tim Conway's sole purpose on Carol Burnett's show was to drive Harvey Korman nuts. Which is one of the reasons why I wished Korman was still on the show when Tim did his "Siamese elephant" story. That would have killed him. 🤣
Have no idea why so many people hated Gazoo. He cracked me up, dum dums!
Because he’s a condescending jerk who fits in awkwardly in the Flintstones’s world and usually makes things worse instead of better.
Personally, he’s my least favorite Flintstones character.
When I first saw that guy I thought he was a character from The Jetsons even though The Flintstones are created by the team that made the Jetsons
Gazoo sent the Flintstones and Rubbles into the future in a Season 6 episode.

The Great Gazoo is my least favorite Flintstones character for a reason. He’s a condescending jerk that usually makes things worse instead of better and an awkward addition into the world of The Flintstones.
I’ll be calling it, for the next Hanna-Barbara Cinematic Universe film, Warner Bros. will bring back The Great Gazoo and make him a villain to satisfy the haters, just like they did with Scrappy-Doo.
You were almost right in two fronts:
A) I heard that a discarded idea for the SCOOB! movie had the Great Gazoo as a Thanos/Darkseid sort of figure, a villain behind the main villain.
B) And they did used him as a villain for the Jellystone! series.
And, the reason Scrappy was a villain in the live-action movie wasn't precisely to satisfy haters. THE FILMMAKERS were among those haters and never actually thougth some people do like Scrappy.

Gazoo was definitely the Flintstones jumping the shark.
Real cartoons. The great Harvey Kormsn did the voice of Gazoo and he created the charter. A very talented MAN.
He also voiced the villian with the "billyclub finger" in Season 6 (he and his croneys were interested in a secret formula from Barney's look a like) and the "Chief" from A Man Called Flintstone.
