When the judges unanimous decision was announced, it shows in Yuri's facial expression how he thinks he should have won. I am a fan of Yuri for his BJJ but he tried to force the groundwork to happen too many times in unnecessary situations and just lay flat on his back to play bottom/open guard. MMA is supposed to somewhat emulate self defense or a street fight where no one in their right mind would constantly lay flat on the back in order to fight or defend themselves. I hope Yuri learns from this loss and does better in his next matches.

O jiujitsu está ficando cada vez mais manjado, quando e treinado as defesas de quedas ou amarrando o jogo de chão, dificulta bastante o jogo de chão e se o camarada não treinar bem , socos e chutes... vai ficar mais dificil ainda.

he forced the submission and that's why it escaped him, he should have controlled instead of forcing the armbar, if he had been calmly controlling until the end of the round the judges would probably have decided differently

A lifetime of training and it’s all negated by quick movement and he’s left laying on his back kicking like a toddler 😆

actually no it is the rules that favours strikers almost in all aspects in mma

@@putpixel4804 Maybe Yuri Simoes was just unprepared and his take-downs don't translate that well in MMA.

@@putpixel4804 why only the fact that they fight in rounds. Strikers have much more rules (not the back of the head or spine, certain strikes are not allowed on the ground like soccer kick, some elbows etc.) Luckily one is a bit more loose with the rule than the ufc

    • @putpixel4804

@@bjarnecollet1807 the back of the head is safety rule for everyone its like allowing grapplers to ignore the tap and break the limb multiple times paelhares would agree😃😃. About my comment why favours strikers well lets see: fight starts standing, referee returns fights to standing position and ref are idiots and stands up in good attacking positions sometimes, no clothes easier to escape takedown, gloves are designed to protect striker arm otherwise all hands would be broken, striker is not forced to engage on the ground he can just run away soo i think you got the point. Mma should be called striking contest with elements of wrestling this ishow bad everything gone nowadays

Lol nice to all the absolute chads in the comments shitting on BJJ because it’s so “boring”. 100 bucks says they all own tap out shirts.
