We had our own narrowboat for a few years ( we sold her about 12 months ago) and so we know all about the trials and tribulations of boatland ( we weren’t liveaboards). I have to say that your positivity throughout your journey has been really amazing. It’s so easy to get bogged down in the disasters that narrowboats throw at you at every turn but you two are amazing....such a lovely couple...really enjoying your vlogs...best of luck ith everything...🍷🍷

That’s the first time I’ve heard anyone mention “Boatland” in a video, originality at its best. Well done on booking your boat in, looking forward to seeing the upcoming boat repairs. Much appreciate all your efforts in capturing the special moments that make up your videos!
Paul had that walk of this isn't happening and then on the way back, he had a spring in his step. Yea that's the beast. Back to bare metal in one pass. The countless hours I spent dealing with rust on my 40 foot steel Adams cutter amounted to years of my life. I wish I had on of those and a nail gun. Cheers
You should watch Mark and Deb,he was talking about the blacking not lasting long on Thiers,it really can take up to 24hrs to go off between each coat.You will get there guys,your doing well up to now,stay happy 👍👍

That's life Mel & Paul one day its the epitome of paradise and the next the whole kit and caboodle is heading south with a boat its all but in the long run its all worth it...well at least in my opinion .so take care just brace forthe next disaster and soon it will become like water off a duck/ swan/ goose moorhen/coot's back take your choice. Is it just an attachment or is it the ones thats the whole unit? I may be needing one in the next year or so to do the sides of my Liverpool boat :) Cheers, Kev
P.s. I’ve just bought some Fertan. In the instructions it doesn’t say anything about removing before painting ? It just says wash off any powdery substance Have I bought the wrong stuff? 😬😬
Hi Kevin Paul got the scabbler attachment from Refina online. It’s an attachment for a grinder👌🏻 will let you know how it works. And yeah Fertan does the job but you just have to wash with water after, Paul just got the other stuff to skip that step.. we also won’t be at Shardlow anymore so won’t be saying hi this time but if we ever are we’ll remember!
