Magical power isn’t Said to decrease with age though, (Old)Dumbledore is not Only more experienced than (Prime)Dumbledore, he is Also more powerful(especially since he Also has the Elder Wand)
This is a good one. Honestly, where Dumbledore was put, I was kind of surprised. Or even Harry. As someone who’s been a fan for a while I have an idea for a video (no pressure either way, it’s just a fan idea). You know how you did a video where you rank the villains? What if you did one where you ranked the good guys? Or maybe a full on good to evil list? If you even see this comment, I hope you at least like my idea. Otherwise, thanks for even taking the time to look and as a fan, I wish all the best. :)
I think Harry is more powerful than even he would realize because he grew up outside the wizarding world, not knowing much. But he was able to fight of the imperious curse and to some extent, Snape's legilimens without even understanding what he was doing. Considering he is related to both Godrick Gryffindor (only a true Gryffindor can pull the Sword out of the Hat) as well as the Peverell brothers, he should be higher on the list. He mastered defense of the dark arts without sufficient lessons. Only Lupin taught him anything useful. Being able to make a corporeal petronus at age 13, or killing the basilisk at age 12 when he knew so little about the wizarding world have to count.
Yup, he just doesn’t know that many spells. But once he hears of the Patronus charm, he relatively quickly masters it at AGE 13(!!!!). But he has his muggle upbringing and his laziness going against him
Harry’s confidence and bravery are rivaled only by Voldemort…which is why dumbledore spends so much time ensuring that Harry values fun and friends more than power…if Harry was more focused on learning magic he would be a contender for the top spot…what’s interesting is the term “luck” because a lot of it is also luck but in the wizarding world, luck is seen as a direct result of a person’s will and courage.
He's not related to Godric, but I agree he would be higher on this list if we knew more about him as an adult wizard. The people from 19-1 are on here because we know how they are as full blown witches and wizards (besides the Legacy avatar who is OP af)
I love that you included the Hogwarts legacy main character, he/she deserves to be on this list because of the same facts you told. Love your video and i hope your next hogwarts legacy video cones soon.
I was hoping you would put in that scene of Dumbledore conjuring a tunnel of fire WHILE BEING IN INCREDIBLE PAIN. That scene was amazing both in the books and in the movie! Also thanks for putting Snape so high on the list. He was just super badass with his ability to close his mind to Voldemort. But man was he a shitty teacher!
@@occheermommy and he was the one that one in the battle of hogwarts against dolohov.. wasnt he? i thought he did beat him and therefore must have been still really good in duelling
I feel like Dumbledore’s greatest strength is his wisdom. Yes he’s very powerful and very smart, but it’s his ability to truly understand what makes people tick and to see the bigger picture. I also think he passed a lot of this on to Harry because when he was teaching him how to defeat Voldemort, he didn’t teach him curses or dueling techniques. He taught him the importance of knowing his enemy’s strengths and weaknesses and of the limits of dark magic and the true unlimited power of love. Ultimately he was a philosopher.
This list was very accurate! I was surprised to see people like McGonagall and Bellatrix but then I realised how powerful they were. Great video, Morgan!
2:16 i think its funny that Harry Potter is ok this list because so many people say that the only spells he knows is like Expellaurimas [yes i know i messed that up] and expecto patronum obviously he knows more but sooooooo namy people say he only uses those 2
Your ranking felt so spot on. Harry being the lowest felt natural since he had (unfortunately)gotten to much real life experience first hand at a very young age.
This list is pretty good tbh, I find it hilarious that the mc from Hogwarts Legacy was included but nothing from the fan-fictional Cursed Child was mentioned at all haha. I wonder why... 🤔
I always look forward to your videos. It makes me happy to listen to someone so smart and can go in depth. Which again is the type of conversations I'd like. I can only imagine you do videos if my OCs for Avatar where real and not OCs. And you just come up with really good ideas for videos. Think you should do this type of list for both Avatar and Percy Jackson. I also again think you should do a character tire list for both of them. And go into other Rick Ridoan books like the Kane Chroncils, Magnus Chase and the Trials of Apollo. I've honestly been hoping you do those books for years. So overall, I really look forward to anytime you upload.
I would have put harry higher cause technically he did cheat death twice also I’m surprised that lily isn’t on here because she did sacrifice herself for harry and love is kinda like the most powerful thing in the wizarding world and muggle world
Nah I think harry barely gets on to the list because jf his defeat for voldemort but he only did that cos he had to and was only particularly skilled at DADA and j think james abd sirius were better tbh becoming animagus but defeating the greatest wizard of all time is better which is why harry has to be kn the list
I mean the Love protection charm only comes out in a person's greatest and absolute necessary need. The power of Love is Ancient Magic which had all but disappeared from the modern wizarding world which is why Voldemort couldn't counter it at all
I mean he had powerful wizards not only helping and protecting him, but also sacrificing themselves for him. And the only reason he "cheated" death is his mindset. And simply owning the deathly hallows shouldn't put you on the list as a more powerful wizard. And simply having love for someone and be willing to sacrifice yourself....that's not especially powerful...a lot of characters in the wizarding world have love.
I 100% accept that I'm biased, but I really think Harry should be in the top 10 at least, if not top 5. There are a bunch of reasons for that, but mostly because I don't think we actually ever got to see him anywhere near his full potential. I think his horrible treatment growing up by nearly everyone but his small group of friends and the majority of Hogwarts staff definitely stunted his growth and yet still he constantly showed remarkable talent. Moreover, I think he's probably meant to be a parallel to Voldemort so he should be at least fairly close to him, just minus the dark arts power boost. Also... uh, he's literally the master of death.
Credence above Grindelwald? Ehh. Also Merlin should be number one. 1) Merlin 2) Dumbledore 3) Voldemort 4) Grindelwald 5) Herpo the Foul 6) Credence 7) Hogwarts Legacy character
I know we only have very little information about HP Merlin, but in my headcanon he is the no. 1 most powerful wizard as well. Since you know he is fucking Merlin the King of druids and wizards. Also the Hogwarts Legacy MC is stupidly OP as well. His kill count is probably higher than every single evil wizards killcounts combined lol
Topic suggestion: what if Dumbledore accepted the post of Minister of Magic? I think it's interesting to see in that case if Dumbledore could possibly oppose and fight the Death Eaters even better - for one, he would not employ death eaters there at the least, and possibly take steps to prevent Azkaban breakouts as he was aware of Voldemort's return. Plus, if he assumed the position early on, surely he would make even more impactful changes as well.
There are so many questions this would bri g up it could be a multi part series. Like who would have been chosen as headmaster since McGonagall had barely started teaching when he became HM. (She was hired by him when he was head of department. I mean if you go by her original timeline not the crap they started with Fantastic beasts where she was teaching 8 years before she was born. ) There is also the question of what he would do about the dementors since he hated them and who would guard the prison if he removed them. Would he have known all the things he knew about Harry and if so who would he trust to interact with him to train him where he needed him trained. Would Snape still be at hogwarts. There are so many areas it would impact. Like Sirius going to prison without trial.
He never wanted to accept it because he knew he was not good with power. He never wanted that much power because he knew there was a part in him that would be corrupted. He found out that early on when he was with Grindalwald. I don't really know what it would mean for him. But in real life, I have seen good people change when they got in positions of power.
Harry Potter deserves to be a little higher on this list. He drove away a hundred dementors with his powerful patronus in only his 3rd year of school, he was able to force his way into Snape's mind (a very powerful occlumens), he was highly skilled at defensive spells and charms, he could shake off the imperius curse, and he became the head of the Auror's office. He also could perform powerful magic at a young age without even trying such as launching himself onto the school roof and blowing up his aunt.
I see what you mean, but you have to remember that he was a kid. He didn’t fight as many battles that the other people on the list fought. But he’s in a good spot for most powerful all time, but if it was student wise he’ll definitely be number 1.
Powerful magic without trying is considered weakness not strength.......credence is ranked higher beacuse he could control his obscurial form by choosing when to let it loose and when to not
Agreed, he’s underrated as hell because most people only saw him fighting the most powerful wizards in the world while he was like 15. By 14 he was already the most powerful in Hogwarts, he taught the DA and became the youngest head of the auror office at 26 - even with a famous name and being the hero of the wizarding world you don’t just get placed in offices like that. And when considering how talented James and Sirius were - more talented than Snape - the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. A matured Harry would be incredible.

Maaaan I LOVE that you mentioned the Hogwarts Legacy Avatar. Since I 1st played I've been saying thay this kid is ridiculously talented and was basically an Auror by the end of term. The investigations, dark wizards, goblins, remaining steps ahead of an actual Auror. Defeating Rookwood, Harlow, AND Ranrok. This kid is easily Minister material
Video request - Why didn't Voldermort have the Dursleys killed? and thus ending the protection Lilly Potter placed on Harry ? I don't get why no one has thought of this...
Dumbledore defeated Gellert even though The Elder Wand had chosen him. That takes huge power, and many people don't appritiate that. The Elder Wand was the only wand ever that could repair other wands, which is beyond ridiculus. The wand would basically increase your spells by about double I guess. And it should be noted that Gellert was very much powerful without the deathstick too. But the fact that Albus Dumbledore defeated combined powers of Gellert Grindelwald AND The Elder Wand just speaks for itself...
I will give you a solid proof from the books that harry is stronger than voldi. When they clash at the end of episode 4 with wands, voldemorts wand reveals the last spells he did as ghosts. This is priori incatatem as dumbledore said it in the movie as well. Priori incatatem occurs when 2 wands with the same core clashes and forces weaker users wand to reveal their last spells. Which means, voldi is weaker than harry in ep4.
That’s actually not how priori incatatem works. It has nothing to do with someone being weaker or stronger. It’s just something that happens if two wands with the same core connect. It would happen even if someone was stronger which I believe Harry was not. Voldemort was MUCH stronger than Harry. Harry only won his duels with him because of his mother and father protecting him or because he owned the elder wand
Hey morgan, you mistakenly said animagus, you mentioned it is animajus (i not g), but other than that, I really love every Harry Potter video that you make!
Really loved this video! Was hyped when you put the MC from Hogwarts Legacy in it. But personally, I think Merlin should have 2nd place and Grindelwald a little above his given place. Unlike Voldemort, he knew love, he was a master at convincing people and his followers didn't support him out of fear.
Isn't Grindelwald a better occlumens than Snape since he was able to keep his defences impenetrable to Voldemort after 53 years spent in prison and weakened, since he was emaciated.
I would absolutely love to see you make a video contemplating how the movies would have been different had we been blessed with the performance of the original Dumbledore, Richard Harris. ❤

Love you Harry Potter Videos Morgan!!! Keep it up!
Recon Molly Weasley should’ve had a shout out she was a damn powerful witch and multitasker
And she killed belatrix, should def get more props for that
Agreed
But he has his muggle upbringing and his laziness going against him
no offense but your joking about the Gryffindor part right...
I’m sorry I’m too much of a fan, big dawg Harry is not related to Godric Gryffindor but he is a descendant of the three peverell brothers
A bit shocked that Helga Hufflepuff wasn't in the list. She was still one of the founding members!
Same !
She wasn't a skilled duelist. Besides, she had much better and more beautiful things to do with her powers.
@@musical_lolu4811 being a duelist is not the only factor of talent.
I love that you included the Hogwarts legacy main character, he/she deserves to be on this list because of the same facts you told. Love your video and i hope your next hogwarts legacy video cones soon.
I agree on the last part! I want more reactions of this fellow to Hogwarts Legacy! He's virtually a walking Harry Potter encyclopedia!
Hogwarts Legacy MC has Honestly reached Kratos levels of OP. Casually chaining 30 killing cursed together.
You are amazing! I wait every single day for your videos! Keep the hard work 💪
my little bro just got into harry potter and i cant wait to show him your videos when hes done with the main story
You wasnt first i meant i was first cause i typed 1 seconds before you
Oh damn congrats then🎉😊
Changed it
Bro you were like 6th
@@smcannon29 sry I'll change it again
How is lockhart not here? I read his book, surely one of the best
Morgan is top notch! I love how deep into details he gets. I accidentally stumbled upon this channel and have been locked in since ❤
Just curious as to where Flitwick would fit in? I could be very wrong but I always thought he was much stronger then it seemed lol. Love the vids!
he was also a master in duelling, wasnt he?!
@@MsAnemoi yes. I think he should have been on the list.
@@occheermommy and he was the one that one in the battle of hogwarts against dolohov.. wasnt he? i thought he did beat him and therefore must have been still really good in duelling
I don't even like Harry potter but any videos on this channel are high quality and worth a watch
You don't like harry potter?🤧
I feel like Dumbledore’s greatest strength is his wisdom. Yes he’s very powerful and very smart, but it’s his ability to truly understand what makes people tick and to see the bigger picture. I also think he passed a lot of this on to Harry because when he was teaching him how to defeat Voldemort, he didn’t teach him curses or dueling techniques. He taught him the importance of knowing his enemy’s strengths and weaknesses and of the limits of dark magic and the true unlimited power of love. Ultimately he was a philosopher.
bro soo good videos ngl! everybody should WATCH THIS!
This list was very accurate! I was surprised to see people like McGonagall and Bellatrix but then I realised how powerful they were. Great video, Morgan!
Hey Morgan are you gonna do more of those Easter egg videos for the rest of the Harry Potter movies?
Always like seeing how folks rank the marauders
And there were none 😅
Best HP TH-camr out there!
2:16 i think its funny that Harry Potter is ok this list because so many people say that the only spells he knows is like Expellaurimas [yes i know i messed that up] and expecto patronum obviously he knows more but sooooooo namy people say he only uses those 2
You might not like it minister, but you can't deny, Dumbledore's got style
Love the vids I’m getting addicted to Harry Potter
Welcome to the club!
I have watched every single of you HP vids and and I love them. You should also do Lord Of The Rings Series
Your ranking felt so spot on. Harry being the lowest felt natural since he had (unfortunately)gotten to much real life experience first hand at a very young age.
So cool keep up the work
This list is pretty good tbh, I find it hilarious that the mc from Hogwarts Legacy was included but nothing from the fan-fictional Cursed Child was mentioned at all haha.
Every strong wizard gangsta until love magic comes up
Awesome video man
I would have put harry higher cause technically he did cheat death twice also I’m surprised that lily isn’t on here because she did sacrifice herself for harry and love is kinda like the most powerful thing in the wizarding world and muggle world
Nah I think harry barely gets on to the list because jf his defeat for voldemort but he only did that cos he had to and was only particularly skilled at DADA and j think james abd sirius were better tbh becoming animagus but defeating the greatest wizard of all time is better which is why harry has to be kn the list
1) Merlin
2) Dumbledore
3) Voldemort
4) Grindelwald
5) Herpo the Foul
6) Credence
7) Hogwarts Legacy character
I know we only have very little information about HP Merlin, but in my headcanon he is the no. 1 most powerful wizard as well. Since you know he is fucking Merlin the King of druids and wizards.
Also the Hogwarts Legacy MC is stupidly OP as well. His kill count is probably higher than every single evil wizards killcounts combined lol
Bro i would watch u for for a 2 hours straight like u put so much effort into your vedios and the quality is just amazing
Isidora should’ve been on the list she’s basically the equivalent of the Hogwarts legacy avatar
You are beyond incredible Morgan keep it up man
Topic suggestion: what if Dumbledore accepted the post of Minister of Magic?
I think it's interesting to see in that case if Dumbledore could possibly oppose and fight the Death Eaters even better - for one, he would not employ death eaters there at the least, and possibly take steps to prevent Azkaban breakouts as he was aware of Voldemort's return. Plus, if he assumed the position early on, surely he would make even more impactful changes as well.
There are so many questions this would bri g up it could be a multi part series. Like who would have been chosen as headmaster since McGonagall had barely started teaching when he became HM. (She was hired by him when he was head of department. I mean if you go by her original timeline not the crap they started with Fantastic beasts where she was teaching 8 years before she was born. )
There is also the question of what he would do about the dementors since he hated them and who would guard the prison if he removed them.
@@audioliquor You can simply add the ring to make the point. He made a mistake against all wisdom and paid the price for it.
A Very Good Video 👌🏻👍🏻
How do you forget Gilderoy Lockhart?!? I thought it was pretty obvious he’d be number one
Fantastic video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
Powerful magic without trying is considered weakness not strength.......credence is ranked higher beacuse he could control his obscurial form by choosing when to let it loose and when to not
@@sabdulrahmanshaikh1621 okay I’m going to stop you right there, Harry tried on everything he did.
@@schnitzelfilmmaker1130 someone who is smart 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The fact that Herpo created both basilisks and horcruxes is insane. Not many wizards can compete with that
remember when in 2021 you made a harry potter book vs movie video where you disected every difference? you should do the same with the percy jackon movies. like the one that rick riordan wrote an email about
So glad you put Herpo in there!
This was the video I wanted your original tier list video to be. I’m really glad I found this. Thanks for making it. Also, happy Thanksgiving lol
Bro i was just sitting down and i randomly remmeberd your videos i used to binge watch your harry potter vids
I love how a ton of the most powerful wizards are not in some High Paying Pristine job…
they’re teachers 😂
I think working at Hogwarts is a huge accomplishment (not for trollony or Lockhart since they were Dumbledores doing)
I'm new to hp literally like 2 days ago I finished the second part of y7 I just finished college and I would constantly hear I'm "mad" for not watching it so I gave it a try and loved it, this vid was so good and I loved hearing more about the franchise thank you
How about Mrs Weasley. She defeated Bellatrix LeStrange.
just because of power of revenge after Fred and the disrespect that Bellatrix showed in their duel
The protection protected them as well
Hey morgan, I really enjoy ur Harry Potter and percy jackson content, waiting on more of percy jackson
Has it been hard coming up with new content since the series is limited to 7 movies/books? I don’t count Fantastic Beasts or the play
Not at all
@@MovieFlame Excuse me, do you mind everywhere else is full.
"Not at all"
Dumbledore defeated Gellert even though The Elder Wand had chosen him.
That means Harry has a stronger willpower. Doesn't mean he was more powerful at all.
The Hogwarts legacy avatar is not yet at the peak of their power which means he/her has more potential.
Love your #1 and may I just say love your channel, too!
Great list, but I think Harry should be higher and Dolohov should probably be in the top 20
Good video!❤
u havent watched it 💀💀
Credence over Grindelwald? Idk about that, Grindelwald has an argument to be over Voldemort
Agreed, Grindle wald should be at place 3-and Merlin (order of Merlin LITERALLY named after him) should be second
I agree with everything else than Grindelwald not being number 2 he held his own for a Day against Prime Dumbledore
Isn't Grindelwald a better occlumens than Snape since he was able to keep his defences impenetrable to Voldemort after 53 years spent in prison and weakened, since he was emaciated.
i swear you are so underrated
I would absolutely love to see you make a video contemplating how the movies would have been different had we been blessed with the performance of the original Dumbledore, Richard Harris. ❤
Love your Vids ❤
Loved how you had unconventional picks like Herpo and the Hogwarts Legacy Character.
Did you rate Harry All together (teen-adult) ? I really wish for some short stories or supplementary material around the cursed child era to gauge all much Harry had advanced..Nice vid overall👌
thing is cursed child isn't canon
