My husband passed away last Sunday. I just sat down needing a distraction after today’s horrific act and this week.
I needed your video.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Prayers for comfort.
So very sorry for your loss. Praying for God's comfort and peace.
@@leannegoddard4989 Thank you. I have wonderful family and friends and a you tube community aren’t we lucky!
My sincere sympathy to you for your loss.
Sorry for your loss, I hate that. Hugs to you.
Dear willow, wishing you all the best sweet doggie good girl xxx
I love the words Kindred Spirits. They give me a warm hug and shivers of comfort. I have commented before, I am the 82yr old who loves everything New England, and I will witness that emotional health and me time are strongly connected. Walking hand in hand with nature is a me time that I find rewarding and healing. Thank you for once again telling me it is okay to do this. And now my heart prays for our sweet Willow guide the health care workers as they treat her and Linda, tell her what a good girl she is and how much she is loved.
Oh poor Willow. I hope she’s going to be ok. The amount of butterflies on the milk weed was amazing. Must have been so enjoyable to watch.
Sending love and prayers for your sweet Willow.❤️🙏
I’ve never been this early! Hello everyone, hello Linda! Sweet Willow, please feel better soon!
Prayers for sweet Willow.
I started recommending this for my patients several years ago before I retired as a RN, now I recommend this to my friends and family. Every day set a small amount of time (start with 15-20 minutes) for yourself. It doesn’t have to be extravagant or complicated, something to brings you joy, (I.e. ice cream, a walk, great skin care, a great read, etc.) . How often do we make time for us? Try this, you be reminded of how little time we invest in ourselves. Do this for two weeks. I believe you will be surprised how the “me time” can make a positive impact on your life.
All my best to Willow. It’s so hard when our furry loved ones have medical problems. Give her hugs and kisses from a complete stranger in the Philadelphia suburbs.
It's not at all silly to appreciate color combinations! There's an artist inside you somewhere, and that's a good thing!
Sweet Willow love her so much. Prays hugs and kisses Willow. Have a blessed day Linda . I love stepping back from business and take my mournings slow. Works for a better day.
Hi Linda! I usually watch you with my Sunday coffee. But instead I get you on my lazy Saturday! Drinking a cold brew coffee with some cream with your delicious vanilla! Happy Weekend! Thanks for your videos every week! ❤
That sounds delicious!!!!
Where do I get the vanilla? Your website?
@@CharlotteFairchild Hi! you can visit Sugarwood1790.com for the vanilla.
Praying for Willow, bless her ❤.
We have 3 blueberry bushes we bought 30 years ago that we leave for the birds and chipmunks! We tried netting them in the beginning, but the birds would walk under it and get caught and we gave up! It is fun watching chipmunks jump from branch to branch and out on a limb they are too heavy for. So we enjoy the blueberry bushes in a different way than most!
Linda, this is one of my favorite videos of yours! Nice variety, great to see your lovely garden, the butterflies, easy meals, sweet willow, the painted sugar shack, and I think that was one of your recent thrifted dresses? Looks great. I have never used FaceBook, and I decided to only look at Instagram about once a month. It has made a difference. For example just now, instead of watching a decorating video I spent time making a new recipe for lemon blueberry bundt cake for me and my hubby. I love your channel and I hope Willow is back to her old self soon.
Very relaxing video, all your work in the garden has certainly paid off. Simply lovely. May Willow feel herself soon, miss her sweet antics. See you next time, have a wonderful week.
What a wonderful surprise to see your post today. Willow I hope you are feeling better, wonder if you got a bad sting - wasp etc.. Rest and get better. So enjoyed this "catch up " video of what is happening up North. Yes heat this summer is wild. Your new fountain is beautiful. Loved walking around your garden. I like the idea of the small wooden fence by the wooden gate. Have a great time till we see you again. Thank you.
Linda, what a pleasant surprise to receive your video on Saturday. Thank you for sharing this stroll through your beautiful garden. Your "part-of-the-subject" perspective viewpoint in filming makes us feel like we are there with you checking out the growth stages of the plants and flowers while listening to the birds and sounds of nature in the background. I really appreciate it since I live in New York City and miss gardening and nature, unless I go through Central Park. Sorry to hear about Willow's health issue. As a pet-lover myself, we care for animals like they are our children. How relaxing and enjoyable this video has been for me. God bless your "kindred spirit". Robert.
My prayers for your precious Willow. It is obvious how much you love her. I have a Standard Poodle that is our love and they are so smart it is incredible. When we sit and talk she will follow the conversation with her head and you can tell at times she recognizes parts of the conversation. They are so sensitive as well. Please keep us in formed of how Willow is. I am sure I am not the only fan she has. Thank you.🐩❤
Hoping Willow feels good as new quickly. I know how dear our pets are to us and what company and joy they bring to our lives. ♥️
I was moving so I am behind and having to catch up but I just wanted to say that all of your videos are EYE CANDY!!! They make me sooo happy~ So beautiful I love the things you show on camera from the house, the gardens, the cooking, the decor, everything makes me smile!!!!
Sweet Willow - feel better soon
You do amazing photography, Linda, and especially of your garden! Love all your videos I’ve watched so far, and understand your need to be “brought back to nature”. As a senior who has owned homes over the years with hubby and raised 2 children (now 46 and 42!), and now in an apartment, which we are so grateful for in that we are free from the care of a home, we were a little hesitant at first. Hubby and I are now at ease with the changes, and cherish other’s gardens along our walks in the neighbourhood, and even some other tenants in our rental complex have created magnificent gardens on our shared rental property. So lucky to have such great neighbours! Love your videos, they are great!
A person can get a lot done by stepping away from social. I've been working on some craft/decor projects and getting ready for the holidays. (I've been thinking about Christmas since May!). Fun and relaxing.
P.S. That area you and Ben cleaned up with the wood chips looks so pretty !! YUMMY pizza ! Wow the colors of the hydrangea bouquet, outstanding !!
Praying for sweet Willow, what a pretty and sweet girl she is. They grab your heart. So glad she has a loving home.
Your landscaping looks so beautiful. Enjoy seeing it throughout the Seasons. Love the color of the sugar shack, makes a nice structure in the background. Thanks for the Summer Stroll ❤☕️🪴 and the food looks delicious! 🍕🥞Enjoy the peaceful Summer mornings and Evenings! Thinking of Willow… ❤
I love this message of adding minutes to your day.❤ I will retire on a little over a year after working since I was 15. I have so many fun projects planned. I've started preparing by spending my weekends creating art and playing with plants. Most of my life, I have been a caregiver. It's time for me!
Poor Willow, I have never seen her looking so sad. 😔She is usually so full of life. Hope she gets better soon. Linda, your garden is looking great and I love the Sugar Shack, the colour is awesome and really fits so well into the surroundings. Love your videos. Jeanette, New Zealand.
Oh Willow! Really hope they can get to the bottom of what is making you ill. Thank you, Linda, for being such an example of a good pet owner.
Pray for speedy recovery Willow🙏
It has been very hot here in Va also. We got a little shower this morning but it really needs to rain all day. We’ve watered our little garden but it’s just not the same as a good rain. Your flowers are beautiful. I thought you had staged the shot of the basket, hat and gloves. Loved it. Glad you got your fountain fixed. It’s so relaxing listening to them, I think. A friend gave me that book several years ago and I really like it. Hope little Willow gets to feeling better soon. We have a little beagle and she has gotten afraid of storms
and lawn mowers here lately. We think that while we were gone for a few hours one day that something frightened her. She has one of those thunder wraps but not sure it does much good for her. Have a blessed day. 😊
Hi Linda, I recently learned an easy way to prolong the life of your cut hydrangeas when they start to wilt is to submerge them in a sink of cold water for several hours after cutting the stems because water is taken up from the stems and petals. You can do this about three times according to Anna from Home and Garden with Anna on TH-cam before they will no longer take up water.
Awh Willow, uplifted prayer for you sweetie!!!!
In Middletown, CT, Pieper Veterinary is a specialty vet hospital. I would expect there to be others closer to your location. Hope Willow receives a diagnosis which will result in treatment. Garden work doesn't end till frost time, but what joy it brings along with a few headaches, too. Stay cool. It's been a Florida summer in New England.
I used rescue remedy, Bach, droplets, in milk and pronutro for a stressed Great Dane who lost her litter. Helped her shock.❤
Best wishes and healing for Willow, poor baby. Your knowledge of gardening is amazing and I am always learning. Really love the "everyday" videos.
Linda, I love how you opened this. I never realized it conscientiously but that has always been my way of approaching life, as a wife and mother of two.I gave myself a little pat on the back. Thank you. I had a very affirming moment.I hope you realize how many people you may effect in a positive way. It's very powerful.
Hi Linda well this is a treat was,yes I agree pulling back from social media has made me get into the moment of life again. The gardens look beautiful and the sugar shack is too.Prayers for Willow poor baby.🕊️💚
Oh my goodness Willow 🩷praying for you to feel better beautiful girl. Something happened in the woods for sure. They are so smart. I love dogs. Thank you for the love you provide for her Linda♥️🙏🐕 The garden is a dream, zucchinis looking so healthy and delicious!!!
Your garden is looking so pretty! Sending healing vibes for Willow, I hope she is feeling better soon.
It seems we're all concerned about Willow. I hope to see her running around with a toy in her mouth very soon! What a nice tour around the garden. I love that you know the names of all the plants. I would have to include a plant guide book! So refreshing to take a day off from social media and tv. Friday is my no outside influences day. Just quiet and some good music for me.
LOL, I'm always losing my coffee too! Prayers for sweet Willow 🐕🐾💕. Very enjoyable video!
Dear Linda, Have missed your videos lately but I was delighted to see your beautiful gardens. Truly a labor of love. Love your lovely videos as I am now relegated to small garden along the back of a condo with pots and a small deck. Small but beautiful. Also love your decorating and cooking videos. Makes you want to get up and be creative again. Thank you for sharing , I can appreciate all of your time and effort along with looking beautiful. Wishing Willow a speedy recovery. Regards.
The Sugar Shack looks soo pretty , love the color !! Really like all the stone you have 9n your property. Sure hope sweet Willow will be OK!! Here in sw Pa it has been soo hot and we could sure some rain everything is turning brown. Always enjoy your sweet videos . That church is so beautiful ! Enjoy the rest of your day. Lovely little purple bottle, my favorite color !! Thanks Linda !!
Hi Linda, I pray Willow feels better asap. Poor precious. Your gardens are so beautiful as well as your home. I'm in agreement with you about cutting down on social media. I've been watching way too much, and it has been taking up too much of my precious time when I should be going through my clothes and kitchenware to donate. Lastly, I love all your videos.
I sure hope Willow gets better real soon. Bless her ❤ from a true Southerner. Take care and I truly enjoyed the garden tour.
I’m watching your lovely video on an early Sunday morning in Australia. It’s very cold here but I’ve just put my white damask bed linen on the line in the hope a sunny day will develop and dry them. We’re expecting rain all this week. Enjoy your week Linda x
Ahhhh, sending lots of hugs to Sweet Willow, lovely video Linda 🥰
Hi Linda. I took a step back from TH-cam watching and now I am catching up on all your videos I missed. Your garden looks lovely. What a find Sugarwood Is to you and Ben. It couldn’t be in better hands. A lady who is multitalented in gardening decor crafts painting antiques and loves researching properties and their history. I’m so sorry Willow isn’t well. She is such a beauty I’ll pray for her recovery. The Lord loves HIS creatures too. I haven’t bought Boboli crusts in a long time.., now I want to! Your pizza looks so yummy. I too love pepper rings. I add them to my sandwiches all the time. Thank you for another inspiring video
Until next time … blessings
I have that book,I think I bought it about 24 years ago,I love it ….i will read it for a year, skip a year or two,and start reading it another year,,I certainly have got my money out of it . ,At the time that when I started journaling.Last year,I loaded up all my journals and tossed them in the trash,it was very freeing.I had pulled one out and started reading it from years ago,and I realize they were too personal and I never wanted anyone to read them,….I have NO REGRETS getting rid of them.!Thanks for sharing I stopped doing Facebook a couple of years ago, I only do You tube, which is very limited, and I found I went back to reading which I LOVE and found much more happiness in .Plus more time outside in the Garden. 🌿🍃
So relaxing. Thank you. I hope Willow gets well. She's so adorable.
It was a pleasure just watching your normal life! It has been hot here too so I loved seeing your ideas for the easier meals in the heat! I will keep Willow in my prayers that she will be much better soon!
Love this… thanks Linda, so enjoyed the walk through your beautiful garden. Praying Willow feels better soon.
Your gardens are so beautiful! You have been a good steward, and they are obviously happy you became their gardener...hope Willow will be ok!
Hi Linda! This was such a nice surprise. Just came back from a very early dinner with my hubby and saw this. I am so sorry about Willow and hope she feels better soon. Animals just don't forget things. One of my cats that loved to look at birds out the front door, saw my twig wreath blow in the wind one day and NEVER went to the front door again, even though I took the wreath down immediately. Your gardens look lovely, and the sugar shack looks great too!! ❤🐕❤
That was such a fun, relaxing visit with you. ❤️. Of coarse I wish the best for the lovely Willow. As a former dog owner, I know how distressing it is when they are unwell! 🇨🇦🤗🇨🇦
Best wishes for Willow!
I love your videos. I usually always watch them way after you post them. But, I am thankful for them. You post, and bring a sense of calm for me. You are thoughtful with what you do. I just love watching and dreaming of my house and gardens.
Everything looks great and so peaceful. Thank you, Linda, for sharing!
I am so sorry about Willow's health struggles and wish her a full recovery. Be good to yourself as this is a major stress on everyone even while you distract yourself. Hugs to you all
I just love your videos, Linda. Enjoy your slow summer and best wishes for Willow’s recovery.
I hope Willow is feeling better. It is difficult when our furbabies are sick. I got really frustrated with all the weeds coming back every summer. So, this year, I put down landscape fabric in hopes of controlling. Physically, I can't spend much time on a task and am now behind due to our drought and heat. Looking forward to autumn! Also, I purchased the solar birdbath fountain you recommended last year and the birds love it!
Get well Willow!❤️
Linda, I enjoy your videos so much..
Thank you!
Was happily surprised to find your new video while I was waiting for brownies to bake. As always, your images & words resonated for me. ❤ I , too, have enjoyed Sarah ban Breathnach’s books for years; Highly recommend them. Thank you, as always, for the respite with the Kindred Spirits.
Such a nice relaxing video, Linda ...I think having a slow Summer would be divine. Some of the things that I do to bring happiness and contentment to my life are picking and arranging flowers, sitting outside and watching all the butterflies and the bees and the birds, baking, cross stitching, and reading. These activities are usually done alone, but I find that doing them really recharges my battery!! I think that it's always a good thing to take care of ourselves so that we can then take care of others ....without experiencing burnout! Thanks for for reminding us to slow down. Also, feel better real soon Willow!🐕🐕🐕
I planted milkweed a few years back and it’s finally filling in. I’m glad you shared your video.
Something must have scared her to pieces. Since she doesn't seem to have physical injury it must have been really traumatic for the poor girl. Hope it wasn't a stroke though.. Glad she's staying close to home and to you. RE the water fixture...I think you are the most talented woman Linda. For me, it would have required my husband, my electrician and my plumber.! And although I don't garden or have any gardening talent I so love your beautiful landscaping! Hope sweet little Willow feels better soon.
Your gardens look beautiful. I hope Willow is feeling better. 🙏
Thank you Linda and the hydrangea are beautiful.. Saying a prayer for sweet Willow..
Bachelor's buttons, or cornflower, were so named in the Victorian era to signal availability when worn in the buttonhole of a suit. In British English a single flower is called a buttonhole rather than a boutonniere.
YesI I knew the story a couple of years back. I even mentioned it in the video, and totally forgot until you just reminded my brain! ! LOL. Thank you!
So many pretty flowers! Have you considered having a sundial somewhere? Something to watch for when you shop. I do like the fountain! Hope Willow recovers well. ❤ her!
I do have a small one! it's in the square garden area with our outdoor table.
Get better soon Willow ❤️
Beautiful video ❤ and good for you with being intentional about how you spend your time. I am encouraged to do the same 💃🏽 I’m sending Willow all the positive energy to heal quickly. Sweet girl 🐶
I hope Willow will be better real soon. She's sweet girl. Thank Linda for another enjoyable vlog.
In central New Jersey we have no Butterflies. I miss them so. So glad to see them at your flowers.
Hope you found your coffee cup by the tomato plants. 😊 The sugarshack looks great. It really pops against all the green. Have a good week, Linda.
I have not found it yet. lol
Hello Linda, so sad to hear about Willow. She is in my prayers. I hope the neurologist is able to help Willow. Such a special girl. 😢 Hope you are doing well.
Hi Linda! Last year my neighbor, nurtured and raised 285 Monarch Butterflies.I had many of the milkweed that Monarchs needed to deposit their eggs on.She then brought them over to my Garden ,when mature, where it was a paradise for release. Do to my many hundreds of flowers for them to continue to feed and grow. It was so beautiful to experience.
That book is one of my favorites, I am constantly re reading it! I so admire you and your home. As I had stated before my home is not old…does not have the character of an older home…but I would love to make it as beautiful and homey as yours. It’s a 37 year old center hall colonial.
Hi Linda, Your vlog was food fir thought. I must tell you we are indeed kindred spirits. I must tell you after seeing this picture, I akso gave Miss Pierce. Remember to take time for yourself. ❤
It makes me sad to see Willow not feeling well. She is such a sweet dog. Is she afraid to go into the woods even if she is with you and/or Ben? I hope she is back to her usual joyful self soon. On another note altogether. Linda, I am particular about people's hands and yours are truly beautiful.❤
This has been a nice relaxed video. The camera is moving slow and I could actually catch what you were doing or looking at this time. I hope Willow comes out of her funk. 🥰
Prayers for Willow ❤❤ the gardens are beautiful
Poor little Willow! She's so precious, and I just love her!
Your poppies remind me of those my grandmother used to grow each year along the walkway of her flower gardens. That brought ack such happy memories.
Good for you on curbing your social media! I stopped using social media entirely 7-8 years ago. I loathe it because people use it as a platform to complain, try to garner sympathy, espouse their political beliefs, and to me, it's just too much negativity. t's amazing how much time people consume on it. People need to get out and live.
Sorry that Willow is feeling poorly! I hope she improves quickly! Love your gardens. What incredible energy you have to keep all your projects going!
Linda, hoping Willow wasn't running from the bear and hurt herself. I am glad she is staying closer to your home but she liked being free spirited too. Keep us posted of sweet girl.
Linda, I really loved the video today. I have that book and recommended it to many of my friends. We must take some time out of our day to do things that make us happy.
I'm so sorry to hear about Willow. We all love her. Give her kisses and well wishes. Batchelor buttons were given their common name during the Victorian Era. Batchelors would put one of the flowers In their top buttonhole of their coat to let the young ladies know that he was available and wanting to court. Your flowers and gardens are gorgeous. Take care.
Thank you Peggy! I totally forgot the story! I even shared it in a video from Groton. ugh lol
Hugs for Willow!
I always look forward to your videos, Linda. They are so calming, peaceful, and always a great watch. ❤
Thank you for sharing.
New subscriber. Love your channel. Very informative, I know very little about plants. 😊 Thank you.❤
Prayers for Willow!!! Thank you! for sharing parts of your life with your viewers.
Sorry to hear that Willow had a relapse. She seems like a real sweetie. I hope she has a full recovery soon! I’m from the town where the Virginia Metalcrafters factory was. The old building now houses several businesses including a craft brewery and a coffee shop. I’m so glad to have been able to collect some of their lovely pieces for my home and garden.
Lovely relaxing episode. Hoping Willow has better days soon! ❤
Praying Willow is healthy very soon 😊
Really enjoy your post.Thank you thank you for such a relaxing show such knowledge.please continue.
Linda…. Yesterday I went to “Savers” a donation drop off also a place to purchase what other folks don’t need or want. I saw a door mat that I just had to buy. It had a fat little red bird with some greens on it and a white printed welcome-sign. I put this door mat in front of my main entry way and every time I see it…. It brings me such joy. P.S. I also have a red door. Talk about the little things in life that can bring joy. ❤
Hoping for a speedy recovery for sweet Willow !
Prayers for sweet Willow!!!
Enjoyed this very much. Prayers for Willow!
