@@Asunderer_any tips about that skull stealing? Like, I just can't get the timing right. Is there any certain position to do it constantly or it's just luck?
Since I see a lot of people saying “what even happened”, I’m going to try to explain the tomfoolery in the video to the best of my ability. Keep in mind that I am not a professional ULTRAKILL player, just a casual one, so I may get things wrong. Elevator room: In this room, he takes his time and slides backwards, instead of doing something like a dash-jump. This is because when you start a level, the timer doesn’t actually start until the first door opens. Then, after sliding back to just before the door, he launches a core eject and hits the core with the malicious railcannon. This is called a Core Nuke, and when used to boost oneself in a direction, it is called an Ultraboost. This provides the largest amount of momentum that you can get in the game without outside factors. Even slam storages have fallen out of favor for most speedruns, due to the sheer immediate speed an Ultraboost provides. Courtyard: In the Courtyard, he slams down and slides, as a usual player would. However, immediately after, he starts facing to the side while sliding. I’m not sure why he does this, but I believe that there is a bug that gives you slightly higher speed when traveling to the side, like how many other games do, but ULTRAKILL might have it on a lesser scale. 6 Mannequins room (1): If you haven’t attempted a P-rank of this level, you may be confused as to why he went there in the first place. Well, as it turns out, the door to the alpha button does not open until the red skull key pedestal has fully emerged from the ground. You can even see him set up a freezeframe rocket to ride while he waits for it to finish. 6 Mannequins room (2): The player uses a core nuke to kill the Mannequins instantly. See, the core nuke also deals ridiculous damage, so much so that it can kill a Mannequin in spite of their explosion resistance. Also, yes, they have an explosion resistance, which is why your projectile boosts feel like they don’t do anything. This huge damage is why you’ll see players use them in the Weezer room of P-2. 4 fake Mannequins room: In ULTRAKILL, when an explosion happens, it interacts with every single object around it, not just enemies, and this includes projectiles. By doing an overpump with the pump charge shotgun, it produces an explosion large enough to affect each of the Mannequins’ homing projectiles. Additionally, the speed that they gain from the explosion also increases their damage, allowing them to one-shot the mannequins when they usually wouldn’t, similar to how a parry does. blue skull key room: The player starts out by throwing 2 coins in the air, then grappling up. Once he reaches high enough, he shoots one of the coins. Once a coin has been up in the air for long enough, it becomes possible to “splitcoin” it, with each split adding 1 to the amount of shots that come out of the final coin. Doing this causes all 3 mannequins to be one-shot instantly. Then,
