Been to Jamaica, and Negril specifically multiple times and love it more each time.
Nice made this documentary. I went to Jamaica and only had positive experiences. I was on the Negril side and only met friendly and relaxed local people!
First visited Negril 50 years ago, and it was much different. Spent time at the lighthouse with Mr. Barret and stayed in a little wooden shack at Gretel Hilton's property on lighthouse Road, my budget for food, lodging and ganja being about $8 a day. Ladies would sell delicious corn pie at the roundabout; the overproof rum would knock your head off. Got excellent ganja down the road at Green Island and sat at a grocery in Savannah-La-Mar and read Ian Flemming stories about Jamaica, all the time swilling cold Red Stripes.

Did not realise Negril is 50 ! Miles from the airport ! Stack that!

Hi, it greatly depends how long you are stuck in traffic in MoBay. The road is actually rather good, a bit curvy though. So, realistic I would calculate with approx. 1,5 hours - provided your transport goes straight. Have fun :-)
Can you purchase legally from the farm?
I didn’t purchase any. But since April 2015 the possession of up to 2 ounces (approx. 56 g) will not be punished anymore, if you have a medical prescription, if you are a Rastafari and you need it for religious purposes or if you are a respective researcher. If you are none of that, the possession of up to 2 ounces would be a minor offense that could be punished with 5 US$ or 500 JA$. On the other side it is allowed to smoke a joint in privacy.
how much did they charge you for the canabis farm and with who did you did business ? i m going back in december for the fifth time never visit a farm wasnt to sure if it was wurthed , thank you , steve
You can ask at Blue Hole Mineral Spring, they offer for 10 or 15 US $. It is an official farm. No illegal stuff.
