Thank you for this video. I subscribed. I remember when I used to study English, my teachers very rarely translated a word in Spanish in my country. Time after when I was Studying English in Miami, my classmates were students from all over the world and I don't remember our teachers translated any word in Russian, Chinese, etc as you do.
No doubt in my mind I got a 5 on it. There was literally nothing I didn’t know on this exam. So much easier than I expected. With that said, thanks for the nice review video!
Bro on the part of Conversation I almost died of laughter on the Ap test when the part of Carolina ur cousin u has to talk ti her and someone say that they would bring chicken as food
Thank you for this video! I myself am a native Argentinian speaker, and we Argentinians use words like "vos" instead of "tu" or "como andas" instead of "como estas". Would words like this be accepted during the conversation or the email for example? I ask this because my teacher this year has taught the class in the form of "tu", and the forms of speaking like "vos" for example come naturally to me. Also, what would you recommend native speakers to focus/study on?
You are allowed to use regional forms like “vos” and “vosotros” on the exam. For native speakers, focus on studying the exam format so that you don’t lose points for not completing each task as it is described in the directions.
using “vos” it’s called “voceo”, using “tú” it’s called “tuteo” and using “usted” it’s called “ustedeo”. It is probably that the AP exam is going to specify which format they require for each question but try to keep it as formal as possible just as you wouldn’t use “u” or “yo” in an english essay. “Voceo” is commonly used between friends and family even tho it’s a valid way of speaking
What do you do if you can't think of a relevant Spanish community for the cultural comparison? My teacher told me never to make things up because they will be able to tell, but I don't know what else I would do if I don't have enough prior knowledge to answer the prompt.
I usually wing it based on previously learned knowledge.. as long as most of the information is right and it's YOUR observations, they just want to see how well you can notice these differences/similarities in Hispanic and your community. For example, my comparison asked to talk about differences of family values so I used Colombia. I said Colombians teach values according to the Catholic worship, and the USA forms individuals based on hard work and financial independence. And I've been to Colombia so many times in my life and barely know their culture. Ended up getting a 5 on the test🤣.
Do they take away points if in the comparison you don’t talk for the entire 2 minutes or do they just take away points if you’re not descriptive enough?
You get a zero if you don’t talk the whole time you get graded on speaking and you can get bumped to a three or lower if you’re not descriptive enough and your points are too simple, vague and short
You can earn point for speaking less than the full time period, but you should aim to speak for at least 90 seconds total to ensure you earn the highest possible points.
They do grade you on having a diverse vocabulary and on using a wide range of grammatical structures, including tenses. It’s best to use both. Good luck tomorrow!
The student needs to develop his or her own individual learning system adapted to your daily routine, area of activity, rhythm of life, interests, etc. First of all, you need to understand what problems are preventing you from learning a foreign language effectively. There is a lot of good material for learning a language on the Internet, but many people don't know how to use it as effectively as possible. However, the practice of Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language" will help you structure and organize your individual language learning process, allow you to find a method of language learning that will be interesting and unencumbered. do we say our school name in the comparison? like "hola me llamo (nombre), y soy de la escuela (escuela), hoy comparare (tema) entre mi comunidad de Estados Unidos y la comunidad hispanohablante de (país)"? Do we give personal examples in the comparison like "por ejemplo, mi/yo ..."? and do we sign off the emails with our name, and school like (nombre, escuela)?
No, don’t say your name or school in the comparison. You can include personal experiences in the comparison though. And to sign off on the email, just sign your name.
You don’t need to mention your school name at all. The most important thing is that you have specific details in your response that help make your presentation more effective.

For the cultural presentation how specific do we have to be
As specific as you can I think its just general knowledge. You dont gotta go to in depth just know what your talking about and that it makes sense.
my teacher told me u can make up stuff too
Be as specific as possible on the cultural comparison presentation. Good luck tomorrow!

What do you suggest if they use a word I don’t know ?
Do your best to guess the meaning of the word from the context and steer your responses around what you don’t know. Good luck!
