I practice this on all my horses. What a difference your video's have made to our training. I actually do it.... because you break it down and easy to follow. You're an incredible teacher. Thku
🙌🏼 Sue thank you so much for your comment. I will come back to this on the days that I wonder if I make a difference. I really appreciate this. Thank you 🙏🏻
I love watching your videos, I found you this year and have found a massive improvement since learning from you. Thank you so much for providing me and other with free content, you're a great teacher and explain it so simply!
Thank you for another good video. Could you please, also make the same video but for Trot. I am struggling with keeping my horse on the bit at the trot. Thank you so much again.
An excersise that my aunt made me do in order to get soft hands: Take a glass of water in each hand. Now run over a lawn or field, trying to not spill it. You have to balance your hands in motion, keeping them steady and compensate for the fluid and drag, and it actually helped me a lot. Maybe this might help someone as well! (Works with cofe too, if youre in the office and just try to get back to your desk faster without spilling iit lol)
Have just found your channel and am really enjoying your videos Josie. I was wondering if you have any advice on retraining a mature horse who has a habit of constantly snatching at the bit (ie throwing her head up and out to get away from the contact)? Many thanks
Hi Bronwyn. It's hard for me to answer questions like this as there could be so many reasons for the behaviour and you need to rule some of them out. Eg teeth issues, incorrect bit type size etc and the rider's hands and balance. I'm really sorry but I would need more info and perhaps even video footage.
I love your videos. Half the time when I aim for a thumbs up on my phone, I accidentally hit thumbs down. Not sure what that looks like on your end but let me emphasize that I have NEVER disliked a video you put out!!
Is your horse ready to walk on the bit? Do you know what is required from your horse before he is ready? If not this video is for you. 🙂
That is such an excellent and helpful video. So basic and simple but so many of us have never been taught it. Thank you!
I'm glad you like it Catherine 🙂
