He’s not Phunsukh Wangdu. Phunsukh is a character INSPIRED by him. Not him entirely
If he was the inspiration he should be given share in the profits at least, you can clearly see him that he is more interested in giving education and he could have used the money to developing education system.
After all the stars we look at are far and we don't really know because we aren't near them.
In that case, Amir Khan & Co, have got a very poor sense of inspiration. It is like seeing a Dinosaur and making a lizard, and then claiming the lizard was inspired by the Dinosaur. Phansuck can be called a bloody caricature of this gentleman.

I don’t understand why we look up to and give so much importance to film stars. People like Sonam Wangchuk are the real heros of our planet and deserve all the love, respect and support. We need to review what our priorities are and support and help people like him. I have tremendous amount of respect for him. ❤️
Agree on every part but Movies are a part of entertainment and people prefer entertainment over anything. Solutions of problems are also important. People like Movie stars or celebs coz they find them attractive in most cases and for the entertainment secondly. They do marketing while people like Wangchuck doesnt.
not all but yes we should give importance to certain film stars who are also working for the country. take an example of akshay kumar. he is a film star and making great contribution to India. his film toilet bring awareness in many part of india, it empower the pm work n objectives and due to that today open defecation greatly reduced. his other movie, padman also bring awareness, man are not shy to hold a pad, women are not shy to buy and use one in many parts of india. its not fully to the mark but the work has started and indeed has bring a change.he is giving us moral values n great messages through some of his movies. he is reviving lost forgotten true stories of india. most of these films beside acting he also produce it....he is also doing many philanthropist works . so such people does deserve importance..

Most probably NO. But why? He developed his product almost a decade ago, and yet it has not attained widespread usage. Why?
Of course - because the Govt is NOT serious about it!!!! Hence this product still remains only the subject of a useless film (selling cheap patriotism and raking money for its makers) instead of serving any REAL purpose.
With this attitude, we can do nothing against the Chinese who are 100% serious about encouraging home-grown innovations.

Aamir is one of the few gutted superstars who has the courage to make films on sensitive subjects adding a really funny and subtle touch to it but sadly politicians, censor board and of course our media will be present to give it a different direction if it's an Indo-Pak related movie. I'm a bit angry with the makers of 3 idiots since they literally just used this guy's work but never even spoke about him or his work. I hope Bollywood can educate the people in our country by making more and more movies about the problems in India because we learn a lot from movies.

3 idiots also copied the ENTIRE concept of the film from Chetan Bhagat's "5 point someone", and didn't give him the credit. Even Amir went on record saying it was not copied from Bhagat's work. They seriously don't deserve any accolades. They just plagiarise, and reap benefits of someone else's work.
Recently, in an interview, aamir even denied it when he was asked if the your character is based on sonam wangchuk! Thats disgusting!

If you hear Sonam clearly, and in between the lines, you will see what he really thinks about the movie and how Amir Khan didnt even inform him about usong his school for his movie shoot and how they were going to mess up the surroundings with their plastic items.
Amir Khan like many of the Bollywood people is just capitalising and making money based on how he projects his own image to people like you and other people.
Neither did Amir listen to Sonam's view point nor did he have the courtesy to inform him that he was going to make money out of him....
