@My Hobbies are NOT Cheap You have done a great job of showing how to do this. Although opinions may differ on the methods, if it works, use it. What I would like to add is that although having a see through rear case cover is a nice to have, it has a way more practical application than most people know. Let me explain in short. We all know that pocket watches are subject to being broken from bumps, dropping, handling the wrong way and so on, but in my opinion, one of the worse things to affect a pocket watch is the dust, hair and grit all around us at all ties. Having a see thorough rear case cover will protect in movement from anything getting in there. How many times have I seen a watch at a watch show, ebay or a friend that has been covered in filth or dog hair? I really think that this is a great way to show everyone how to prevent this in the future.. Sadly, cases are getting harder and harder to find, so it may take a while to get the pieces together. A well done video. Thank you.
Thank you for the encouragement! I try to remember the things I first struggled with when I first started.. and I am STILL learning! I am happy to share!
Good everyday advice..with so much electronics around the only reason to carry a 100+ year old pocket watch is to see it, it's amazing the amount of work and craftsmanship for something only the jeweler servicing your watch would ever see....
Because finger cots are more comfortable. Don’t know about you but my hands sweat a lot wearing full gloves - very unpleasant. No such issue with finger cots!
My hands sweat in gloves too.... that is the main reason I don't wear them. Finger cots are MUCH more comfortable and I feel like I have more "control".
