I have always loved the Temples and couldn't wait to receive my recommend. In 2006 that wish came true. Now, seven years later, I feel honored serving in the Temple. May everyone embrace the blessings that come from being Temple worthy and visit them often.

I am Catholic and I can relate to the peace that Mormons must feel when they go to the Temple. I feel that same peace when I go to adoration and I am in front of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. It's incredible. I've had the most spiritual experiences with Jesus adoring Him in the Eucharist. Same is true when I receive Him in the Eucharist at every Mass. Such a blessing, such a grace from God, such a beautiful sacrament. To come into full communion with Christ. If you've never been to adoration, I invite you to go. It's for anyone. When you sit in the direct sun for an hour you're sure to get a sunburn...when you sit in the Real Presence of the Son of God, something is sure to stir in your heart.

I feel absolutely humbled every time. I am in the temple. My gratitude never seems sufficient which I pray most reverently to My Heavenly Father. But he still blesses me and gives me further opportunity to serve. The temple is close sets to My Lord that I love so much.

I have been fortunate to always live within an hour's drive of a temple. I have been blessed to serve in temples on four continents. With more than 35 years of marriage, it is wonderful to look forward to more.

I'm living a new experience in the Temple when I see it in people's eyes in the sacred ordenance . It happens that they are far away listening but suddenly
They lift their heads lift they eyes and some smile at in my direction. It's a if those words make them remember and recognize! It's a wonderful Spirit!

I love the temple.I wish all people in this World could understand and have the desire to participate of those sacred moments at the temple, and experience the peace, strength and joy that we as members of the LDS church receive. It is a blessing and a privilege. The temple is really a piece of heaven here in earth.

Such an amazing place to go, the ability to stop focusing on negatives in the world, daily struggles, and other things that make life overbearing and scary and focus on things that uplift the soul and bring you closer to your heavenly father. We as members are so lucky to have these blessings in our lives.

Awesome video! I love going to temples. On the day after 9-11 (2001), I went to the Washington D.C. Temple (I had considered going in to the Pentagon on 9-11)...being in that temple brought me great strength, light, and peace in what seemed a dark and difficult time...there are so many other times going to the House of God has strengthened me, taught me, and helped me be a better person...so grateful to be sealed to my wife and children, my parents and siblings, for eternity!

I love the Temple! Wish that there was one here in the city in which I live because I would literally be there every single day if there was! I've always felt such peace & comfort in the temple, whenever I've been able to get there!
I pray that any members of the Church who live where there is a Temple will see it for the blessing that it can be in their lives & go as often as they possibly can!

I love the temple! I like to think of it as spiritual university. Everyone is welcome, but preparation is required to be worthy to enter. I feel the spirit of God in the holy walls of the Temple. It is a place of peace and communication with God. It's Christ's house and I have enjoyed learning more of Him inside.

The fist Temple I visited was two of journey. Now I take two hours to visit the Temple. It is a blessing for me to be able to visit the Temple frequently. I find peace and spiritual guidance. But the biggest blessing of all is to visit the Temple and perform the ordinances therein with my lovely wife.

I visited the SLC temple on 10.27.16 and got a real glimpse of heaven while I was in the celestial room. Never been so deeply moved and happier than during that hour, in which I was finally able to understand psalm 23 in its fullness: 'Jehovah is my shepherd, I shall lack nothing'... (M)
After leaving the temple, though, a nightmare.

I ask only 1 question: where else on earth can you go and feel a direct impact on your life the second you open the door until the time you leave? Try the Temple on a day when things may be looking gloomy or darker than normal within the the outside world.
It is my testimony to each of you who take the time to read this message and listen to the various faiths/religions that bring about the legitimacy of of our work on the earth and we still have so far to go. Come inside from the cold and feel the warmth of your Heavenly Father as he is present in all his houses. Listen and feel the love as various patrons put forth an effort to ensure your comfort and desire to learn more.
I love each of you regardless of your faith just as our Savior does; teach, walk and look for love in all you do this Holiday season (Christmas) and he will be with you. I promise you this is true!!!!
Sincerely from one your Lords representatives the earth today, Jeff

The Mexico City temple is now closed, so we have to travel a few hours to the nearest one, sometimes the trip gets difficult because Its on an unknown city and the bus terminal is far away, but when I see on the distance the piancle of the temple, the building full of light, I just feel all the traveling has been worth it.
I love the testimony of the family from India in this video. I also can say "my family, many blessings, very happy"

Temple grounds are also very beautiful and well-kept. It is not uncommon to find people on temple grounds reading scriptures, praying or quietly having conversation to work through important matters with a partner or friend. Saints feel drawn to the temple because we feel God's love most powerfully there.

I know that temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are sacred spaces, where we can receive spiritually life saving ordinances, which are eternal blessings! We can also help bless our family members and loved ones who died before receiving these ordinances, and making covenants.
Baptism with the correct authority is essential for all mankind, however many many very good people died without true baptism. That's why we believe like Paul in the bible believed, that baptism for the dead is a true ordinance.
"Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?"
    - 1 Corinthians 15:29
There are also other ordinances, that we perform in holy temples, which help us to be more powerfully connected together, and to Christ than without these spiritually life saving ordinances. Those are specifically talked about in Exodus.

Yeah. It could be a bad idea, because temples are a very big investments. I'm sure that mormons could donate more if there were no temples. But then again, temples are very important to mormons, and it seems that mormons are more motivated to do good by donating time and money into other charities/service because of temples. I don't know what the mormon religion would look like today without temples, I don't even know if it would still exist.

I wonder the same thing every single time I hear that football stars make like 20 M a year... as if they could not live in luxury with a tenth of that... and give the other 90% to feed poor ppl. Or when Oprah reveals that she made 245 M in one year, which means that average family income provider would have to work 10 thousand years to match Oprah's pay. Does she (and many others like her famous or not) really need that much $$$$$. (rhetorically, I do know the A)

Temples are very important to LDS because they are Houses of the Lord. He does visit his temples more often than one realizes. Temples are essential to doing God's work (as in days of old) and that includes temple work for deceased loved ones. It's a holy place-where heaven meets earth- and where attendees can gain much in spiritual growth and intelligence.
All the money given to the Church in Tithing and Fast Offerings is the Lord's Money... Ten/10% of ones gain for tithing (we get to keep a whole 90%) and the worth of two missed meals for fast offering. The money received from tithes is used for all church buildings and their upkeep; i.e., temples, chapels, visitors' centers, storehouses, church ranches, etc.
ALL of the fast offering donations go completely to aid the poor and suffering in the Church and around the world. Approx $2 Billion is donated annually to help other countries dealing with catastrophes and natural disasters. This includes not just money, but tons of food, clothing, building materials, wells for water, medical supplies (and doctors), tents, wheelchairs, agriculture aid and much more. the Church endeavors to utilize goods and manufactures from the country needing help, to aid in fostering employment there. What a wonderful working system of Charity and Service they represent.
None of the Mormon Apostles or General Authorities or Bishops, etc, are paid ministers. Whereas other Churches/Charities' leaders do get paid. They also give a measly 10-11% of their total donations toward helping others. (For example, while Goodwill gets all its donations free... the "company" donates not one $ to aiding disaster victims...it's really a business.) Many of the CEOs of Charities are paid from $250,000 to more than a million dollars a year! Outrageous, if you ask me. The Catholic Church and the Salvation Army do a lot of good in times of disaster and often work with the Mormon Church in alleviating the pain and suffering here in the US and worldwide.
Merry Christmas to one and All!

LESS THAN ONE PERCENT to charity ! The LDS Church spends roughly $40 million a year in welfare and humanitarian efforts, according to prophet, seer, and revelator Dallin H. Oaks. A number which, if taken at face value, would be something to brag about tremendously…but it’s not. Let us look at some stats: LDS income (through donated tithing): $7 billion/year
      investigations.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/08/13/13262285-mormon-church-earns-7-billion-a-year-from-tithing-analysis-indicates
      LDS charitable contributions: $40 million/year www.deseretnews.com/article/865657898/LDS-Church-welfare-humanitarian-efforts-average-40-million-per-year-apostle-says.html
So that puts the LDS Church at .6% of its NON TAXED income going towards charitable contributions. Yes, you read that right, .6% (and that is rounded up).
      NOT EVEN ONE PERCENT !!
Ok, but the church does other things with its money, like take care of temple/church grounds, build more temples/churches, and……. Oh yeah, there was that mall www.nytimes.com/2013/07/10/realestate/commercial/mormon-backed-mall-breathes-life-into-salt-lake-city.html
But even after a $2 billion mall, where the hell is all that money going? Not towards taxes, or “non-paid clergy”, and definitely not towards welfare or charity.
Though we may never know where the money goes, let’s look at how the LDS Church compares to actual fortune 500 companies, who pay taxes and thousands of employees, when it comes to following the light of Christ and giving to those in need. Just for the record, we are looking at cash giving, not the value of free products given by a company.
Source: www.businessinsider.com/most-generous-companies-in-america-2015-2016-6/#11-goldman-sachs-15 All data is from 2015.
Pepsi: Pre-tax profits: $7.44 billion Cash donations: $56.4 million (.75%)
Coca Cola: Pre-tax profits: $9.61 billion Cash donations: $117.3 million (1.2%)
General Mills: Pre-tax profits: $1.76 billion Cash donations: $105 million (5.97%!!!)
Goldman Sachs: Pre-tax profits: $8.78 billion Cash donations: $276.41 million (3.15%)
Please note that the mentioned profits above are not the companies' entire revenue. But simply the profit that company had for the year.
The list goes on and on. My question, now more than ever, is where does the LDS Church spend all its money? Where does the thousands of dollars members are REQUIRED to pay every year go? Why is the church so secretive with the money GIVEN TO IT? Not to mention the corporate income the church gets, is also secret and often tax exempt, which is used for…who knows what.
My biggest concern is this. Why do the leaders of the “one true church”, following Christ’s example, think that giving less than 1% to those in need is in any way acceptable? You mean to tell me the LDS Church is less charitable than Goldman Sachs!?!?! I’m not saying these companies have any more care for those in need. I am sure a huge majority of the donations made by companies are simply for tax benefits. Yet I wonder how the church’s charitable donations would compare if they were taxed like the corporation they truly are?

In June 2016, during a lecture given at the University of Oxford, England, Elder Dallin H. Oaks, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the LDS Church said that the Church spends around US$40 million on humanitarian, welfare, and other charity projects, worldwide, each year. It has been doing that for the past 30 years. Also, volunteers from the Church devote millions of hours of labor each year to assist in the projects.

I don't like this because they use an angel as a "symbol" instead of a cross.

Angels are also messengers of God
