I think in tournament play, you can only use the language from whatever country you are playing in because Japan gets most cards sooner than other countries. However, I'm not an expert on this subject, so I could be wrong
I think at that point, you use your cards from your country, so you opponent might have cards in a different language. However, I might be wrong about that 😅
Nice! Would you be interested in a video of Pokemon card shops throughout Japan? There are a lot that don't really like tourists or prices are just really bad because lots of tourists go there, so I was very selective of the ones I shopped at.

Yeah, Kumamoto is all the way on the southwest tip. Highly recommend checking out the city though!

Can you use japanese cards in a battle with english cards?
