In yet another harrowing incident of minor rape, the Likha Youth Association (LYA) informed that Toko Rajesh, a 40- to 45-year-old man, is suspected of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl in Deed village in Ziro on January 21, 2024.
According to the association, the accused, Toko Rajesh, forcibly entered the residence of the victim on January 21st at around 12 a.m. midnight and physically molested her.
An FIR was registered in Ziro Women's Police Station on February 31st under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act; however, till now the accused has not been apprehended.
Currently, the victim is traumatized and was admitted to TRIHMS hospital, but the doctors have referred her to a facility outside the state, according to LYA.

My understanding is that Ziro is divided into Ziro I (Apatani belt) and Ziro II (Nyishi belt). If I’m not wrong, Deed might be situated within the jurisdiction of Ziro II.
