Sweet use of the level design . The "around the corner jump blink" to avoid the assassins spawning was a thing i always had back´d up in my mind incase i want to make a new flooded district video . Really convenient since you don't have to watch them talking ( or even more stupid blink past them ) and can maintain your momentum while all of the assassins will be at the next level instead of just 3 of them .
This was brilliant. On par with some of stealthgamer's best works. I especially liked the ending with the switching of perspectives. I appreciate that you didn't kill him. I never did after I played the DLCs.
I think Daud deserved to be spared. just think about it. it was the Outsider who manipulated everyone to have this outcome. I can't wait to play with the Death of the Outsider.
That's the same viewpoint that Daud has in the Death of the Outsider DLC and he blames the Outsider for everything bad that has ever happened to anyone involved with him but the Outsider never makes anyone do ANYTHING. He literally only sits and watches. Everything done by humans was a choice of their own, including all of Daud's kills, which included hundreds outside of the empress. The thing that really made daud have this outcome was the series of events in his personal life since birth that pushed him into a life of crime. He also only killed jessamine for money, not cause the outsider asked him to. He's a full on villain regardless of the regret he had for his actions. Regret amounts to nothing ultimately when the victim's heart no longer beats. (Except jessamine's kind of still does beat in a way, lol) If anyone deserved to be spared, by that logic, it was all the assassins. They were just being led by Daud.
After playng as Daud it feels like the training wheels are off now that I'm back in black as Corvo with possession and the semi-automatic crossbow, think you guys will like the alternate ending I created too for the ending cinematic of the video. Im playing this game right now on high chaos but I had the same idea to brand campbell instead so I can see him as a weeper also to get that special note when you find him like that too.

This is the canon ending to Daud's story according to the devs. Corvo spares Daud and lets him go, the guy is too much of a badass especially after he destroys Delilah in Brigmore Witches and ironically he turns out to be very similar to Corvo in many respects. What is very important to capture is Daud saying to himself "I'd give back all the coin if I could, no one should have to kill an empress" when he is saying this and that he regrets it and Corvo hears him say this, it makes sense that Corvo spares him if he hears Daud speak those words and of course his speech afterwards asking for his life. So it is very important to capture that otherwise it does not make as much sense. Also the statue of the empress being there seems to fit very well poetically with what Daud is saying in the end. High Video Game Art!

Absolutely, most of it is planned much like a sports team plans set pieces and knows exactly how to execute their plan. There are of course moments where things go wrong and I have to improvise to escape a tricky situation, but 90-95% is carefully crafted. Daud was the only proper boss fight. It's the only one that I never take the non lethal path first or just stealth kill him. I always clear out the assassins near him then go head on
Just for the lolz try throwing an assassin's head when he's down. Didn't really expect to kill him that way. If only I had a good screencap program (or hardware)...
This is on PC, I'm guessing? The difference in everything from FPS to simply picture quality in general is impressive. Normally, I'm not a stickler for graphics and video and so I generally don't care about consoles (PS4) being a bit less powerful but the difference with Dishonored is insane.

I killed him. Then I played Knife of Dunwall and kind of liked Daud. Now I have some regrets. Definitely going to go back and show him mercy.
