    • @cenexcise

@@Alone1am It was Jahangir who introduced chicken in Mughal cuisine. The Btitish came to India barely seventy-five years after the Mughals. British member of parliament and diplomat Sir Thomas Roe was sent to Emperor Jehangir's Court as Ambassador in 1614 to facilitate the trade of British East India Company. Chicken found a place in Mughlai cuisine through this sojourn of Sir Thomas Roe in Mughal Court. Later on, various chicken dishes flourished under the skillful culinary talent of Mughal chef during the eras of Jehangir, Shahjahan and so on. Story of chicken dishes of India are fascinating and our favourite chef Ranvir has narrated one of them.

Can you tell me when did you add the curd..
I mean after the milk was cooked..
      Or both together.
      It will be a help..

God bless Chef Ranveer and his family for taking time to share his lifelong experience to bring joy in so many families all over the world with the detailed recipes. I am not a good cook and my elderly mother is so proud and happy about my cooking now - I am sure she will cross over to the other side peacefully knowing her daughter has learnt to cook :) It could truly be a every sunday chicken for me. Folks who don't know how to cook should try this as their first chicken as the taste will be an incentive to try different receipes. I used Almond flour to make it even easier. Since for us chicken is always spicy - added slit green chillies.

It’s like a ritual for out-of-towners like me to have it either on the Chandigarh Ludhiana route or at the old branch next to the clock tower. For me, this dish is best with sliced bread which is served originally and one of the best examples of how much India loves gravy!
