Can you order continental breakfast the night before for your room next morning? Usually there is a list in the room to leave out by around Midnight. Saves having to get dressed and do make up for the feeding frenzy upstairs ;)

On the Splendor we had a sofa as a bed as well as the double bed in our ordinary balcony cabin the cabin looks the same size, which tells me that the extra money is for the spa access
great videos guys, hope that you are having a lovely cruise :) our last cruise on resilient lady a couple weeks ago, i was so extremely hot the entire cruise. we had the aircon as low as it would go in the cabin and it was still roasting in there and around the ship in all of the indoor areas it was also very hot. hope our cruise on quantum in a couple months will be nice and cool :) we are coming from launceston Tasmania to brisbane to board our cruise (with 2 nights pre and 2 nights post cruise booked in brisbane :) really hope to meet you both while we are up there if you have a couple minutes spare :) then cruising 5 nights to airlie beach :) so comimg from a colder climate, up to the beautiful warm qld, in the middle march, i think we are going to really be impacted by the heat. hoping at least the ship is cool though :)

Must admit I am not feeling the love with Carnival Luminsa, been on her twice now but not my thing. Happy with P&O and saw you both late last year on the the Comedy cruise, my partner and I are actually going to be on the same cruise as you to PNG later this year, managed to get a good mini suite deal and then they offered us additional access to Byron Beach pool area for $70 for the entire cruise which I thought was a bargain.
Same, the Luminosa just feels so outdated
I have been on one Costa ship before (Costa Mediterranea) and i think they were both strange but OK, very interesting decor and very diiferent from the other Italian line (MSC). If you look at the various youtube videos of Carnival Luminosa in Alaska, most were not kind reviews. The market in Australia is getting so big and profitablable now I think Carnival/Princess/P&O Australia (same company) should build a new ship rather than 15+yo hand me downs from Princess or Costa .
Hi Darren. Luminosa is different to most of the other ships that cruise from Australia I must agree. We had the Cloud 9 category on the last one and have changed our next one to that as we really enjoyed that area. We will be cancelling our PNG cruise as we got a great deal on an MSC cruise from Japan to Taiwan which is at the same time. Just finalising the travel and accommodation at the moment. Hopefully catch up on another cruise though at some time. It sounds like you got a good deal on BBC though. We have been looking at some of the BBC options for another cruise on the Encounter this year so we'll see what turns up.
