Yall just saved me a lot of money, thought I had bad radiator fans or something since the dealership kept throwing 4 digit prices at me to see what was wrong
Thanks so much you have save the ac of my 2016 sti i did the same just 1 hour ago and my ac is freezing up inside the car , i was having the same issues as yours ,every vent was hot but just one a little coldish from the 5 front vents and now ufff cold cold 😂
Just remember every time you charge a system like that there is humidity from the air going in because it's in that hose because of its open end. Even a tiny bit of moisture can cause issues with the expansion valve and corrode the system's internals. You ideally want to get a shop to put a deep vacuum on it for at least 45 minutes to remove any moisture. You can throw some freon in there and have a nice day a few times, but it will eventually kill an expensive part. Get the leak repaired asap and get a good vacuum and recharge. Also change the ac component relays every 7 or 8 years to keep everything running at top voltage.
I have a 13 impreza wrx, the AC blows slightly cool but it's pretty weak. I hear the compressor kick in I think, it sounds like a turbo almost 😅 makes my car sound better when it's on, but it doesn't blow cold. What all should I do to fix and prevent any problems? My car has 115k miles on it. Thanks..
If you put too much gas, you risk kill your compressor and other components that is very expensive in Subaru cars. The correct procedure is to put the right amount in weight.
Thanks for such a detailed video. Is it normal for the AC compressor to stop spinning and start again as the cars AC is running and keeps doing that cycle of stop and spin?
Hey, did you happen to see any leaking on your compressor? And I realized that you did this quite a while ago, has is started making noise again? I just want to know because the same thing is happening to me and I wanna know if I should just get a new compressor.
The AC is supposed to be a closed system. If there's something wrong then its more than likely you have a leak somewhere. Try to isolate and fix the leak before recharging

II did exactly everything in this video and my car still blew hot air. The AC compressor wasn't spinning either. Do I have a leak? And if so will AC pro stop the leak?
Edw…. 11 mos. ago, probably fixed by now. I have idea if Freon pressure has leaked mostly out, a low pressure safety switch prevents compressor from engaging. Is that way in my old Chev truck. I’ll skip details since all vehicles are different. But I can override the low pressure switch and get compressor to turn and allow the Freon in. Simple and quick recharge then. Has worked for 7 years that way. Safety glasses on around Freon.

My forester had the exact problem as you, I added Freon and now it’s cold again. My compressor also quieted down after getting Freon added.

Yes! A closed system shouldn't need anything. A leak needs to be detected.
Thanks for making a video with music that’s not horrible!! Yay
This is gonna save me from being swampy!!!

Great video, gonna save me a ton of $
wow! I didn't even know this was possible to do !

About to do my 16 sub forester. Thanks.
Turns put it's in the same location on the 13 Impreza!

How can I dispose of the can of freon safely when I'm done?

I learned something new!
Great vi…Was very helpful.
After 2019, you will need 1234YF and not 134a freon and a different fitting to charge port.

they sell canisters that can stop small leaks so I would try with that first and then do the refrigerant can! Hope this helps! #notamechanic
If it isn't spinning, check if your car has a magnetic ac clutch. If the gap is too big, it won't engage

You just saved me $2500
Glad we could help! Maybe you pay is the difference?? 🤔🤣
Where can I get the car a/c tester
Hey man where did you get your rain guards for your windows? I’d appreciate you letting me kno.
Good~
what to do if my subaru blow hot air in traffic sometimes? its this will work ?
I would give it a try and hopefully that is the issue. It could be that it’s too hot outside too
@@AmericanVsImports yes really hot outside, I'm in Fl and sometime we hit 107 easy lollllll
I wish u turn the music off so we can hear the sound the car is making
All the original audio was corrupted 😅 sorry about that!
Not very helpful.
Instructor has very little knowledge about this subject. Obviously from the way process is explained.
Very basic explanation.
