    Thats so cliché what I'm gonna say .. but people going to U of T tend to have more money and can afford this elite kind of school in Toronto. But grades don't define who you are, and being at u of T doesn't necessarily means that you are a top notched student.

      Idk about that since Waterloo tuition is significantly greater than UofT. UofT tuition is practically the same as McMasters and queens for what I’ve seen

      Attending a famous university with a decent GPA will help to land interviews. The truth is that only about 15% of the engineering knowledge I learned in university is useful at work. Most skills are acquired from work. After a while, employers just look at your experience; school name becomes less important over time.

      @@jesoschrist I mean highschool scores doesn't define you and matters in life once ur out of highschool (no one cares really). We shouldn't just look at score, as we are much more than a number (what my teachers and students always say and I agree) but overall university in general. No ones gonna ask ur ib score in uni. Your life is what you make of it. Like my score doesn't matter anymore. There is always ways to get where you want. I mean both uni have their pros and cons. It depends where you want your enviroment, courses and experience. I am just talking about in general. It doesn't matter how many ppl can go in UofT or McGill everyone has their own choices. Plus you can always transfer once you're in uni, as a lot of my friends did transfer courses and another university. You are also not defined by which uni you go to either, is about how you make of it.🤗

    • @devrouxmaharaj7321
      @devrouxmaharaj7321 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jesoschrist That is true in some sense, but at UofT in your first year you aren't in your program, just a generalist major. You need to apply to your program and compete against everyone in the same generalist as you. Basically, the first rung of the ladder is lower relative to McGill, but the second rung is of entirely different level. When you compare the total applications to uoft Eng of CS to the number that make it to the major, the acceptance rate is like 5%.
