Damn, what a drive. It's kind of bonkers to think that a long long time ago people took this route with carriages and some bulls across the land to get to places like Oregon and California. It looks beautiful, but I'm reminded of when it was deadly and painstaking to cross the landscape to get to the West Coast.
I agree. It was exactly what I was thinking driving through some of the fire-scorched lands in Colorado. How difficult some of the terrains must have been. Also, some of the fantastic engineering and hard work to put the modern roads in place.
Gee you sure saved me from taking this route. Looked good on the map😊 Boring asleep at the wheel kinda driving. Will fly direct to Boise vs SLC. Disappointing.
Been on this many times. Miles and miles of miles and miles.
And then when you've done the miles... there are more miles.

I have to agree, it was pretty flat and dry. At least for the most part, it was a nice day and a relaxing drive.
What camera you use for this trip?
Simple good ol' GoPro 8 recording in 4K with a 512Gb sd card.
@@roadtripsandotherdistracti3596 thank you
The most boring road trip route ever.
Always going to be some dull spots, but sometimes it's also a peaceful time to reflect on the incredible views and people you see on the trip.
@@roadtripsandotherdistracti3596 So true, well said
