All the companies are doing bullshit by not disclosing the price, we expect price to be close to 17/18 but when it launches it shall be 20 lacs, I faced a similar situation with jimny all the reviewers said max it would be 13/14 lacs but when it launched its price for top model is 17.3 lacs had to wait for bloody 6 months and then cancelled, this trend is a joke and no company should be allowed to take pre booking without actual price, wish the Govt notices and puts a bloody end to this

You are absolutely right Sujoy, fully support you. I had to wait for almost 7.5 months for Jimny. Booked it on 12th January, and finally after lots of hiccups and problems and escalation and shouting and 3 bookings, finally I got the Jimny on 28th July!! And this Alpha AT is at least 3-4 lakhs costlier than it should have been. I needed a no-nonsense AWD+AT below 20 lakhs. And we do not have any other 5 door option in this price range in India. Hence I went ahead with Jimny purchase. But the enjoyment and happiness of buying a new car were killed by Maruti Suzuki. NEXA dealerships were not ready to sell Jimny without premium of approx 75k- 1.5 lakhs! Can you imagine.
Why put additional burden on the govt? It's about resisting tempatation. if company opens pre-booking without disclosing price, don't book it. I would even recoomend waiting till it is delivered and niggles of the first lost are sorted out.
@@swagatpatra2139 Jimny seems to have many many niggles. Usually MSIL cars do not have any niggles. Most of the buyers are complaining about Jimny moving to left/ right. Few reported water contamination in transfer box oil. ICE head unit of my Jimny failed on day-0. And after many many escalations, today I could finally got it replaced under warranty. And while doing the functional check I found mic feed is absent. Don't know whether mic module or wiring harnesses is the problem, or new ICE head unit's mic input part is not working. Mine is Alpha AT. Feeling really really disappointed after spending a solid 17 lakhs. And I had to let go my old reliable Swift for exchange.
Same, I booked elevate but after price reveal, I may have to cancel the booking I also feel skeptic about how these review are not aligned with companies while these people promote cars by taking money from companies once they offically launch.
Elevate is elegant & more over it ll attract mature persons not by age but by mind, it offers more practicality power & performance 👍
Only mileage is the problem for Elevate, Absence of more fuel economic options like EV, hybrid or diesel will keep a chunk of buyers away from Elevate...as the naturally aspirated petrol engine will give less mileage upto single digit numbers as the engine becomes older just like older city, civic, crv models
Honda Elevate is the safest in the segment because it has the same 5 gen Honda City platform which scored 5 star safety in Asian ncap and it alos gets level 2 ADAS, Auto high beam which is not in Volkswagen taigun
Grand vitara is also made on S-cross platform which got 5 stars in Asian ncap
I won't say it's safest taigun is 5 star on child safety aswell (definately one of the safety) 1st ASEAN NCAP 2020 was less strict (it don't have side collision test) 2nd that city has 6 airbags standard & ASEAN NCAP give scores different. ADAS i doubt its usefulness but it's definitely a good feature to have.

Dont understand why you guys consider sun roof as a feature and promote the same… how much is it fruitful in indian conditions? How much is it practical and is it maintenance less object? Per my thought, every top model must come with and without sunroom. And top models must have ventilated seats…
Finally someone is thinking the same about the sunroof. Sunroof is an unnecessary feature as per my thinking. People need to understand that while buying a car we should consider safety features, an engine with 4 cylinders, BHP and NM, and comfort. I would choose Elevate over Grand Vitara

Honda elevate looks more muscular, may be next update of elevate they might involve ventilated seats, height adjustable seat belts, middle passenger head rest and a little bigger fuel tank.

Elevate has the biggest ears in the industry for sure. Look at those orvms
I have done offroading in GV and elevate. Surprisingly GV has better suspension and better ride quality than Elevate. Except ADAS, there is no USP in Elevate. It has cut corners in plastic quality, no headrest and 3 point seatbelt for middle passenger. Fuel efficieny is 10 in real world. GV feels like a better package.

Hi, my dad who recently turned 60 is considering GV and elevate automatic his budget is 17 lakhs , gv delta goes around 16.5 on road , is it a good car for him? Hoping for your expert advice

Grand vitara hybrid gets 3cylinder when switching from ev to engine lot of vibration is felt but in 1.5 4 cylinder it is smoothest but power is 103bhp for big vehicle also digital mid is only in hybrid

5 years back I have shortlisted Ciaz and Honda City.
All my friends in auto mobile industry said one thing...
If you have to keep car for 2-3 years then buy any one.
But if you wanaa keep it for long then go for Honda city..
After 5 years of using city I can relate those words now.

If Honda can price not more than 50K over Grand Vitara, then I would buy the Honda for superior ride and handling, adas and good rear seat space.
Please compare feature as well as Honda never launch base model just to show low base price. Honda base model also have all features which Maruti mid model doesn't have.

Honda cars are very smooth even after many years , it's very good for longevity.

What will be a suitable suv upgrade to Duster diesel 85 PS. 95% being driven in city. To be used as a daily commuter to work place. Monthly running 600-800 kms. Comfort and riding pleasure are must . Plz suggest
Comfort riding means Sedan and Petrol Sedan means Honda City. Your monthly running is less than 1500 so go for only petrol. Honda city V model and honestly speaking I am sedan fan and have same usage like you.
Using Honda city 2018 petrol and love the driveability. I drove Seltos, Creta but didn't like the feel as compare to City.
@@amitmalhotra9574 Honda city has always been a great choice but as I mentioned SUV because of my medical problem. I suffer from Severe Herniated Disc and cannot ride a low height vehicle.
Heard Duster might come with an upgrade by 2023 end.. so if overall felt it’s a good vehicle and services where decent then better to wait

Unlike Maruti, Hyundai and many others Honda IVTEC always delivers more mileage than ARAI figures. I used to get 20-21 kmpl on my Amaze Petrol 2019 model with company claiming only 19 kmpl. Honda IVTEC is the best petrol engine👍

Honda took so long to even release the pricing. I have seen many people cancelling the bookings. Just like Ford, Skoda, etc I don’t know what’s wrong with Honda? Their cars are good but their execution is strange (business wise). I am not a business guru, just a common man. But why can’t these companies bring their cars quickly and in the same manner as Hyundai, Suzuki etc. this i fail to understand. Are they taking India for granted? (Hyundai etc do bring cars fast but their built quality is questionable).

I hope there is a facelift on the way in the next 6 months with a panaromic sunroof, ventilated seats and the important Hybrid option which will help with fuel economy which I think will make it one of the go to daily driver options. With this fuel economy and current fuel price, I will stay away from this option
Panaromic Sunroof reduces Headroom for rear passengers. For daily long run Maruti GV is good but for short daily running Honda Elevate is best due to Hondas iVtec Petrol Engine, more power and torque, Rear Seat Headroom and Legroom, more booth space, Safety and less crowded Honda Service Centers.
Car hasn't began deliveries yet , facelift don't come so soon it will take minimum 2year atleast.
Regarding hybrid it's like they have a bit of supply issue as honda can't fulfill even city hybrid's demand ,they plan to bring full EV elevate in future.

Grand Vitara have No problem with over taking and climbing anywhere, it performs really good fully loaded , you won’t even notice a lag .

Great comparo, Bunny ! Much awaited comparison between the two new promising mid sizers. But, can the Elevate reach the GV's 10K sales figures per month ? I guess not... It's the low end versions that make up for a bulk of the sales, and that's where Honda may lose out. Add to it the drop in FE with the spirited runs and you have another deal breaker. Add to it Honda's poor service network and shutting down factories, I guess the Elevate will remain a niche car, bought by Honda fans or the Dilli wallahas who want to try it out, before disposing it in a year or two, like most Petrol THARs. I am of the firm belief that driving is a test of your senses and if one has to look at cameras and drive "virtually", heaven help us ! NIce, crisp and all encompassing comparo there.
Why do you think Honda wants to sell 10k units per month! They neither have the capacity nor the interest to sell those numbers. If there's one area that's the biggest advantage for GV, that's the fuel efficiency. Otherwise, Honda Elevate is a better car by all counts including the projected price.

You're free to share yours than denigrating others using phrases. Any car brand's service network will fall short of Maruti's, that doesn't mean other brands are bad.
I am driving Honda Car for last 10 years and surely will say Honda offers much safer cars, they are as reliable as Maruti Cars, you get better service attention due to less crowding, are more spacious inside especially in the rear legroom and headroom, better boot space etc.

Honda giving 12-15 year old Engine Technology. Its so confusing
I think biggest point that folks dnt openly talk about is Honda is premium brand and Maruti is not. Rest of things are just more on paper .
I loved Elevate drive , but i will never rev my own Elevate the way i did with test drive vehicle.
Also my Honda dealership is very strict in terms of outside accessories, you can’t upgrade alloys or fog lights. So V variant is not possible and VX is only option.
Where as GV you easily get sigma and add alloy and music system for 80000.
Then price difference is roughly 2.2lakhs .
Very tough call what to go for

Interior of baleno breazza , vitara are same means spending 7, 12,24 lakh you will be getting same feel . Even suzuki provide old shabby keys.

Honda Elevate _ RPM if driver managed not to cross beyond 2000 rpm then mileage would definitely be in range of 14-15 KMPL even with city traffic, its you how you want it to perform on giving the high throttle with higher its takes pickup significantly higher than of lower rpm, ride comfort, road presence, front edges visibility, side turn auto turn on rear view camera, ride comfort, inside leg room, noise proof doors rubber, body panel fit and finish, BODY Roll, door panels, body built, super soft suspension, steering response all are in a one combo in a very decent price, you can move it even with sixth gear in lowest rpm in between 40-50 speed, all such goodness in a One, Honda never disappoints.. purely a practical car no faltu useless features, Honda itself kept the cost to purchase this beautiful machine in a very well balanced approach, Price Features and a pure feel of SUV all in a one COMBO with the least price. Exactly. I booked brezza in January and they have told by April i will get the car, then till July we didn't got, so we cancelled the booking and book the Elevate. My budget is max 16 lakhs. But now the showroom guy is saying they got a price hint from Honda that this will be in the same price league of City 15-19 lakhs... So i am spectacle now....

I will give clear answer as a automobile engineer.
1) GV -three cylinder more noisy than Honda 4 cylinder.
2) if you want longevity of engine than go for Honda. Because three cylinder life is less.
3) If 4 cylinder give sufficient power than why turbo needed.
4) please feel the drivability of Elevate far better than GV.
5) Honda not gave ventilated seat that is important feature in Indian condition.
6) Panromic sun roof is a bluff. Not important feature for India. It reduce the car safety.
7) Elevate is more safer car on city platform.
Point 2 is incorrect. Most small Maruti engines are 3 cylinder units for years now. And they run trouble free for lakhs of km. Ditto for small suzuki engines used worldwide.

Hondas slow sales approach will bring down the trust.. car launched 2 months ago but Till now no price and no test drive. Very poor strategy.
Poor comparision without pricing. GV Delta at the price point is total VFM. Fuel efficiency the car stands out . One cannot buy just because a car is fresh.
Ofcourse elevate rocks but vitara gives mileage too..i would go for vitara.

Yes only because of this reason I had to cancel my booking , strictly 4 seater waise bhi 5 nahi baith sakte aaram se but agar short distance par bhi baithna ho toh bhi dikkat hai elevate me Honda elevate ki road presence bhi kam hai had to buy an automatic so I bought gv delta automatic , elevate 80k expensive hai v cvt me 1 inch small wheels hai alloy accessories me bhi nhi hai drum brakes hai , 3 point seat belt nhi hai rear centre headrest nhi hai only thing is missing is led headlights which can be installed after market after the warranty period bulb hi change hona hota hai
And mere paas amaze hai elevate ka exterior front headlight bhi similar hai interior bhi same color so a big no for me
Also bonnet bahut bada hai jab maine test drive kari elevate ki band ho gyi thi phir chaddhyi toh kuch bhi nhi dikh rha tha

GV is best looking but missing the wow factor. Best for relaxed driving for 2-4 between 75-90km/hr. More power, better cabin cooling, smooth transition & good quality camera/infotainment required. Hope Suzuki refreshes it in next release.
Elevate is gud like interior is very nice than grand vitara..
Cvt bad for highway speed , rubberband effect, also elevate only good for city but vitara is highway good..

Honda gave all important features and not given non sense features.
But Indians like panromic sunroof without knowing it is unsafe and it's developed due to European environmental condition, where sun light issue. But we Indian do only copy paste 😂. And compare with non sense features. All automobile engineers know that three cylinder engines having more vibration than four cylinder but we have required three cylinder with turbo where average speed not goes beyond 80. What else I can do, choices are yours.
