It would be especially great to see recommendations for products that are available in the colors on your skin tone depth = corrector color chart! I’m super pale and have hollow under eyes, and the only color corrector I’ve tried that works well on that part of my face is the pale pink Exa one from Credo. Sometimes it’s not emollient enough to wear well on my dry skin, but I’d rather deal with that than with the wrong color.
Yes, please show us your color recommendations and your concealer recommendations. I have almost the same exact eyes as you have. I’m obsessed with concealer videos. When I was 14, I was using white under my eyes to counteract the darkness. As I get older, I realized how ridiculous it looked. Thank you for bringing wisdom to this very complicated issue.
Look at pretty much any of her year end favorites, holy grail or makeup starter kit videos. She’s pretty consistent about recommending the same things.
This is the best video about concealer techniques I have ever seen ❤ (and trust me, I have seen a lot of them 😂). I absolutely can’t wait for your video about concealer recommendations because I am still looking for my favourite one. I would also love to see makeup tips and tricks regarding other face areas - I learn so much from you!😊 have a wonderful day, greetings from Poland 😊!
I'm an artist (so i understand color theory and shading) and i agree with you. Color correcting and lighting up only where the shadows lay is really effective and needs less product when it's done correctly. I have a few tips that might help with those techniques. - looking at the color wheel might help you understand what color is on the opposite side of the color you're trying to counteract - you can use similar technique you used when lightening up shadows under your eyes to lighten up shadows under some pimples that are 3D - if there are parts of your face that are so dark/shadowy it's hard to lighten them up you can slithly add a little bit of dark pigment around them or on the lighter parts so they don't look as dark in comparison and blend better with the rest of the face. Good to try and see if you like it. - similarly if there's a part of your skin that have so much color it's hard to counteract/cover it you can add a little bit of that color around it. For example after correcting a pink pimple i add slightly some pink just around the pimple so it blends with the rest of the skin better
Yes PLEASE do a follow up video about light bouncing concealers as well as your overall favorites and color correctors too please! Thank you Amanda for such informative content.
The concealer video I’ve needed my whole life. Thank you for all these tips. At 62 years old I thought I had bags, when actually I’m more hollow. Thanks again for this great video.
I love your eyebrows! ❤ I am sick of the overly graphically shaped or laminated and overdone ones where everyone looks the same whether it suits them or not!
As I get older, concealer has become my nemesis! I used to use brighter concealer under the eyes and it looked horrible- it brought attention straight to the area I hated the most. Love these tips! Yes to more
Very good concealer tips. It took me years and hundreds of videos to learn about them. The 1st one I actually didn't know. For mature under eyes I suggest using a light-reflecting powder instead of a lighter colored concealer for the tear trough.
I’m so glad you’re talking about light reflecting in makeup. It truly is an incredible way to get a natural look with less product. I’ve had forehead wrinkles honestly since my early twenties because I’m very expressive. About 10 years ago I bought the Guerlain Meteroites on a whim as a treat for myself once I got my first “real job” after college and I was floored that those forehead wrinkles weren’t noticeable. I mean, if someone got really, really close sure you could see them, but from a regular distance and even in photos they were blurred. I still love the meteorites, but they aren’t travel friendly so I’ve experimented with other products over the years and the Chantecaille Blur Finishing powder is great as well as the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. Just a light dusting is all you need! Chantecaille’s gel foundation in the pot in also LOVELY if you want a naturally blurred look. It’s kinda light coverage which for my needs is fine, but honestly when I’m putting it on I think “eh, it’s fine” but once your makeup is done and everything is working together, I look so healthy and well rested. Light reflecting done correctly is the way to go, for sure!! So is reverse powder! I’m not a big setting powder kinda gal, but in the summer I do use it and I find that over foundation things can sometimes look a tad heavy, but if you do a light dusting before makeup (think of it as setting your skin care) you get the staying power without the heaviness! I like Chantecaille’s setting powder. I’ve used it for years.
Jones road has a magnificent line of chubby pencils that work beautifully in tear troughs. One is the Face Pencil & the other is called the Neutralizer Pencil. Best I have ever found! Works magic on my hollowness and blue-purple discoloration! 👍🏽
Great tips! Thank you. One thing I might suggest is bringing concealer a bit down from the inner eye to the side of the nostril and blending a bit out & under the hollow to minimize where the hollow meets the face skin.
Absolutely hands down THE BEST makeup lesson / tutorial I have watched, and believe me, I've seen a lot... Please make more content on all things undereyes, products, formulas, and techniques .... could you show when you set using a pressed powder too? I love the new set up too!
I would love video about light reflecting concealer formulas, especially from drugstore brands! I don’t really have hollowness under my eyes, I just have deep set eyes so my brow bone creates a shadow under my eyes in overhead lighting, I really don’t know what to do because there is almost no pigment there to correct
This video was everything! Finally a concealer video with tips that actually do help the real dark circle suffering girlies! When you said you came out of the wound with dark circles, I felt that!
Please test the Kosas color corrector! I’d love to know if you think it’s as good as the concealer and if it’s worth it. I’m specifically interested in the pinky peach shade (maybe also the pink shade, but I’m assuming it may be too light to camouflage dark under eyes).
you seriously need to try the Ulta under eye corrector stick...it is my holy grail...it comes in a light shade and one for darker compexions...the other thing I love is that it's super moisturizing it doesn't have any freaking fragrances that would irritate my eyes and it's more of a sheer color so it really helps correct and not just cake on pink...it's also so convenient and in a stick...I always have it in my purse because literally I just put a little under my eyes and patted out and as long as I don't go all the way up my under eyes it won't crease...it's also so freaking affordable and always goes on sale so I always stock up and keep it everywhere...I literally don't know why it hasn't gone viral...because every time there's some sort of dark undereye corrector or whatnot I always look at the ingredients and the products and I try it out and I always hate it and I always go back to this
Thank you, young lady. Im 64 dry skin and have tried a million concealers the past ten years for coverage of pigmentation and hallows.Tried color correctors but applied first. Too orange and cakey and still use too light a concealer. Will try right color with a very light peach and several of your tips. I do have brown at corner of my eyes that looks like I didn’t stop my eye shadow.😂 It bothers me and I can’t seem to correct. Maybe a deeper orange for those? Great video because my older gals video tips have never worked for me. No powder for me. I’ve tried many and my skin says, NO! Im okay tapping a crease out occasionally. I dislike the discoloration much more than my few wrinkles & creases. I earned those!😊Thanks again, Im excited for some better results!
Please make the follow up video on product and formula recs. I have hollowness, similar but slightly worse than yours. And you’re right, the hollowness makes the biggest difference. I’m excited to try out these tips! This was great education! ❤
Ughhh yes with not buying the ultra bright concealer. I was interested in trying Kosas recently since they have some olive shades. I went to Sephora and someone was trying to help me. Trying. I said I think I’m olive and I don’t wear much makeup so I want something I can spot conceal with. Her first reaction was to grab the literal lighted shade and talk about brightening. Now maybe I’m not all there, but I don’t think I need any special brightening, as I didn’t specify that as a concern. It was also pretty peachy for me and even I could see that. I ended up just getting what I was comfortable but jeez, she really just thought concealer had one purpose. I’m still bitter about that, she wasted my time 😂
I stopped concealing under my eyes and it is absolutely game changing. I put a swipe that follows the curve of the dark circle, right at the bottom edge, and blend down onto my cheek (not up). It oddly reduces the darkness without being detectable. I also like how the K beauty trend is kind of to emphasize the brown under eyes, so I just stopped worrying about that, too. That Canmake concealer (bought at your recommendation!) is also divine!!
I spent years looking for the right color corrector, and the best thing I found by far is mixing the shade Happy of rare beauty blush into my NYX serum concealer in light. The NYX is my perfect concealer, and the pink liquid blush provides the correction I need mixed into the concealer. Such a strange discovery but I haven’t looked back.
I just got a lip oil you recommended, the Apple Black Tea, and it’s so good. Plus it smells amazing. I’ve ordered other products you’ve shared and always been pleased. So, thank you for the work you do. It’s very much appreciated. 🥰
Im older than you and opted for a lower blepharoplasty, but for years, "bouncing the light" and how you put concealer in that hollow was the ONLY way I could wear concealer! If folks here havent tried that, it will make a massive difference, worked for me for over a decade.
I loooove the Lisa Eldridge pinpoint concealer for hollow highlighting. I really wish she had a color corecter in the same form factor. I would watch your concealer/color corrector recs for sure!
Thank you for all these great tips! Another thing that completely changed the game for me is using a setting spray to set my under eyes instead of powder.
Gaahhhh this week was so good!! The overalls! Friday!! All the jackets! Thank you for all this rich inspo Beth ❤ I especially loved how much talking through the creative process you did in this episode Also-- I always notice and love your nails. Would you ever do a short about what you ask for at the salon and how you pick your colors?
Amanda please dooo that concealer recommendation video! I need a new concealer asap, my dark under eye bags keep playing peak a boo midway through the day and I’m getting fed up. Also love this video a lot, learned some new tips - thank you very much ❤
I used to do a thick layer with a too light concealer under my eyes and at the time I didn't even realise how bad it looked. Now I recently ordered a salmon-toned eye brightener, the one from Catrice. I'm waiting for it and a couple of other products to arrive in mail. I also got the Elf power grip primer, their glitter lip oil, their coloured brow gel, and their liquid blush
Hi Amanda, thank you so much for your tips. I would appreciate if you could film your favorite concealor and color corrector products, as we have similar skin tone. I find it difficult to cover my dark circles with peach color correctors that everyone is recommending, or when I find the right color, the formula is not good enough and it makes my concealor to settle into fine lines 😢 it is a never ending struggle for me😵💫
I’m with you in mixing corrector with concealer. And to simplify it further, I just buy a concealer in a shade that does both. However, it’s not a foolproof solution because on some days when the undereyes are particularly dark, I need to amp on a separate corrector. Undereyes are so moody like that!
For powder under the eyes I find that if I make the “mascara face” and set my under eyes with a light dusting of powder, I’m setting the product and not the wrinkles. I don’t always think powder is necessary for my day to day needs, but maybe it’s needed in the summer or if I know I’m going to have a day where I really need that extra staying power the “mascara face” while setting the under eyes is the way to go for me!
Wonderful tips! I learned so much from you. I keep buying concealers, but you taught us how to use them. I also use the Bobbi Brown stick correctors and will see if it can be mixed it with concealer, as you suggested. Thanks loads for this😊
I love that you mention correction for brown pigmentation. Usually it’s either blue, purple or yellow (sallowness). Like, yaaaa’ll my pigmentations are just brown. I understand they might refer to undertone, but it is mainly brown. If i only correct the undertone, then I am left with brown minus the undertone.
I'm a grandma, just starting to wear some tinted moisturizer. Having a tough time, I have rosacea. I don't want to feel anything 😊 I'm going to go through your videos ad check for your skin tints. We are big time different though. Young skin vs old skin😊❤ You're so calm.❤😊
I think I just found “thee concealer”for me literally 5 minutes before watching this…winky lux peeper pleaser (sounds a lot like the kosas)…going to try all these tips tomorrow with new concealer..what a fun time that will be!
I cannot get Kosa‘s concealer to match my skin. Unfortunately, I’ve tried way too many like five colors and they’re all too yellow on me. Natasha, Danona and Ciele work better better. This is the best concealer video I’ve ever watched. Please continue the series. I need all the help I can get.
I’m cool fair and I find I use a pale peach cc and then add Fenty brightner in rose quartz. I use v little as I have mature under eyes. I do a dot on the inner corner and a dot on the outer corner then I use a tapered concealer blush to blend with v little pressure. Thin layers for foundation and concealer works better for me. This took a long time to learn and my under eyes looking shocking fir a long time 😂😂😂😂 xxx

100% yes please!
Oh I forgot to mention, can you please include some drugstore options, if possible? 🙏🏼❤️

yes to a favorite concealers and color correctors video! even more powder recommendations, loose or not!
As an artist I actually love your deep set eyes causing all those shadows. It’s actually kinda aesthetic, reminds me of Arcane makeup ❤
Her eyes are not deep set…
Loving these types of videos from you .! Thank you for looking out for us fellow hollow under eye folks.!
Wow! You are such a good teacher on covering darkness and hallows. Thank you for the enlightening tutorial. xo
Very good concealer tips. It took me years and hundreds of videos to learn about them. The 1st one I actually didn't know. For mature under eyes I suggest using a light-reflecting powder instead of a lighter colored concealer for the tear trough.
❤ that suggestion, but doesn't it end up looking cakey? what do use? and less expensive dupes also please 😉

You’re such a superstar. Yes please on the concealer and color corrector favorites.
I’m only at the beginning but that head tilt tip BLEW MY MIND
I love the angling tips when powdering over undereye hollows and concealing pimples!
Also love that every tip is very effective and easy to implement.
Great tips! Thank you. One thing I might suggest is bringing concealer a bit down from the inner eye to the side of the nostril and blending a bit out & under the hollow to minimize where the hollow meets the face skin.
“Stripped of skin…oh god” cracked me up
Me, too! Gave me the giggles! 😂

You're so pretty, Amanda. Thanks for all the help you've shared in your videos!
Game changer indeed. Every hack well explained . I am a guy and I like the usage of minimal product with a great and still natural effect.
you seriously need to try the Ulta under eye corrector stick...it is my holy grail...it comes in a light shade and one for darker compexions...the other thing I love is that it's super moisturizing it doesn't have any freaking fragrances that would irritate my eyes and it's more of a sheer color so it really helps correct and not just cake on pink...it's also so convenient and in a stick...I always have it in my purse because literally I just put a little under my eyes and patted out and as long as I don't go all the way up my under eyes it won't crease...it's also so freaking affordable and always goes on sale so I always stock up and keep it everywhere...I literally don't know why it hasn't gone viral...because every time there's some sort of dark undereye corrector or whatnot I always look at the ingredients and the products and I try it out and I always hate it and I always go back to this

Sadly Sephora employees usually don’t know much about makeup…same with Ulta employees
Yes, please do a precise concealer video. I'm curious about the formulas and ingredients that are most helpful. Thanks for a great video!
Yes to the concealer recommendations! I would love to hear your thoughts about the Natasha Denona Hyglam concealer

Yes please colour correctors and concealer video Amanda. That would be most helpful. Thank you ❤
This is a definite save to my playlist. Yes to color correctors and concealer recommendations.

Highly useful info! Thank you, Amanda. I would love to see a video on color correcting.
Best eye concealer advices ever… thanks ❤
I’d love a follow up on colour and formulae options. Thank you ❤
Thank you so much for the tips in this video. I would love to see further tips to conceal hollowness under the eyes.
Yes, please do a follow-up with recs! Thank you!
I’m with you in mixing corrector with concealer. And to simplify it further, I just buy a concealer in a shade that does both. However, it’s not a foolproof solution because on some days when the undereyes are particularly dark, I need to amp on a separate corrector. Undereyes are so moody like that!
Fabulous tips. This one went into my "save it and follow along" folder.
Both color correcting and concealer would be helpful. Thanks!
BEST concealer /color correcting video!! I’ve learned so much and now know what I am doing wrong!
yes please share your fav color correctors
For powder under the eyes I find that if I make the “mascara face” and set my under eyes with a light dusting of powder, I’m setting the product and not the wrinkles. I don’t always think powder is necessary for my day to day needs, but maybe it’s needed in the summer or if I know I’m going to have a day where I really need that extra staying power the “mascara face” while setting the under eyes is the way to go for me!
I noticed a little judydoll concealer palette on yesstyle similar to the canmake one. Maybe you can try it next time you do a haul 🤭
Omg omg omg I was waiting for this!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I learned so much from this! Thank you!
Wonderful tips! I learned so much from you. I keep buying concealers, but you taught us how to use them. I also use the Bobbi Brown stick correctors and will see if it can be mixed it with concealer, as you suggested. Thanks loads for this😊
So glad I found your video, you touched on all my problems with my eye area! Great advice 😊
Fantastic video! Thank you for these tips. Yes please to the concealer recs too.
I love bare minerals powder. I've tried so many liquid products and I hate the feel no matter how light handed I am
Excellent video!
Wonderful tips! You gave me a couple of ideas that I wanna try. Thank you!
Hi Amanda. I would like to see the top 10 concealer video. Thanks!

This took a long time to learn and my under eyes looking shocking fir a long time 😂😂😂😂 xxx
Great tips, I have mature dry skin with fine lines. Concealers crease on me no matter what.
