Emery took over an Aston Villa team who was in a relegation battle. by the time the season ended they finished top 7 and were knocking on the door into top 4. This year, they are battling for top 4 and not for off 1st. That’s a proper manager.

To add salt to injuries, Emery has aston villa shooting upward without a billion spent. He turned average players like watkins and mcguinn into superstars. That's the mark of a great coach, turning sand into gold, Pochettino is doing the exact opposite at the moment

I'm sorry. After what Ange did with Tottenham and Eddie Howe did with Newcastle there's no excuse for Pochettino. Are you telling me that Almiron and Murphy are better than any of those attacking players that Chelsea got? Inexperience players? What about Miley, Sarr, Udogie? Injuries? For God's sake, Emerson Royale played as a center back and looked ok! Newcastle had half of the team injured at one point and played better than Chelsea. I really don't get why all these pundits think so highly of Poch.

Wrong. looking at ur players strengths & weaknesses, then putting them in place to win based on that, makes you a good coach. If you dont have the guys you need to play the way you want, you cant wait until the next transfer window to start winning games. u gotta win with what you got.

With respect to Stevie regarding coaching I can only go by my experience having witnessed it in real time at Villa under Emery.
We watched a manager take a squad of players with low confidence and he took them immediately back to 'his' basics, back to school.
He had a really short time to get us away from relegation. He made a few key changes, tightened up defence and improved our attack. In a few short weeks he achieved the first objective as we climbed away from 17th spot.
Nezt goal was top10. He upped the level of complexity in training, teaching the players how he wanted them to play out from the back, how to hold and control the ball and he introduced the highline. I won't lie there were more than a few hairy scary moments 😬 in matches.
ALL the players bought into it. Martinez became a sweeper keeper, improved his footwork and distribution of the ball. The back line became a solid line, an offside trap under General Mings, who also blossomed under Emery and became the best version of himself as did ALL other players.
I could go on with many more examples. But the key point is, Emery had a plan, he and his staff worked hard with the team AND he also met with every single player and gave them weekly objectives post review of their last game. As they improved he added new objectives that aligned with Emery's way playing and the team goals. We got to 10th and he upped the anti and we went for a euro spot.
    So my questions are:
    1. What is Poch's style of play?
    2. Where are Poch's identifiable plays?
    3. Has Poch improved any player?
    4. What are the team's objectives?
    5. In-game tactics, are there any? Does anything change significantly after half-time ?
When I watch Chelsea, I just see a squad of young players some like Palmer are clearly ahead as he has had the benefit of City coaching, Gallagher too has had the benefit of being on great loans. The rest seem to me to be lost. I don't see bad players, I see players who aren't sure of their roles, their expectations for that match, they seem to be winging it which is ehy you get such mad swings in results and form ...

I knew within ten seconds of reading the lineup we were in trouble today because Poch likes Chilwell to play really high up the field in possession and Thiago Silva would be covering the left side for counter attacks on Neto so that was a big red flag that obviously led to goals and there was only one outfield player named above the height of 6 foot (Disasi) against a team that are good from set plays. How can’t a manager managing at the top level for over a decade see these massive flaws in his lineup? That’s not to mention the complete lack of identity, pressing and movement in this Chelsea team. Chelsea's main issue is not the manager, it's the makeup of the team and how it was constructed.
Any professional team needs a core of players (City with KDB, Walker, Rodri, Stones, Silva) and then you can bring in players to either fit within that core and contribute or bring in players that will elevate while also adhering to the principles set by the core. Chelsea don't have a core of veterans that have established an identity and therefore you just have a collection of talented individuals freelancing every game. Sometimes it works, most times it doesn't.

Enzo with ACTUAL attacks and runs being made for the ball would be assisting like no one else. It's just not working with the coach as well as certain dead weight players. Petrovich. Enzo and caicedo. Nkuku. The rest can be replaced. Even palmer is over rated.

  • @tymkoc3293
    @tymkoc3293 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

There's 1 major bright spot in Chelsea's lineup and his name is Palmer. He should be on team England for the Euros, he's been quite incredible. Mudryk (pron Moodrick) did score a couple golazzos including a very nice one against Arsenal. He also has couple of assists. Hey, at 70 mil that's still miles of a better buy than Cucurella at 65 mil. Wouldn't you agree Stevie? Poch is stubbornly playing a 4-2-3-1 with the 2 wingers further back than they should be, a far too defensive/counter system than his speedy attackers would require to score more goals. Why not try a 4-3-3? I do agree that most of the squad has been highly overpaid and has overachieved but a real good manager would be able to finish top 7--8 at least with this group. Poch's future depends on winning the league cup but how they beat Liverpool in this boring style he's made them play I've got no clue. I'd even try 3-4-2-1 or 3-5-2 now that Chilly is back, he's offensively gifted, wasted at LB. Agreed about Sterling, occasionally brilliant but most of the time he shoots instead of passing and vice versa, wastes chances too often. Silva scored but also caused a goal with a deflection and fooled his keeper Petrovic, how many goals against has he scored on his own net this way this season? Team lacks leadership, Gallagher runs around like the battery man and should have gotten at least 1 yellow cause he's not very good at tackling but his finishing is also awful, had an open net but shot on ground instead of lifting the shot and wasted a great chance. Petrovic in net has been quite good, more reliable than Sanchez in my opinion. And Disasi is pretty good too, fast for a tall defender and can play RB pretty well. They should just rid of aging Silva, time to start Disasi and Colwill (with Basiashile and eventually Fofana) still there. Bring in a veteran that can actually get the team to play better, lead by example.

Studied this game today and did anyone notice how exhausted a number of the Chelsea players looked very early into the match? We know Poch has a reputation for demanding a lot from his players physically, but since he didn't really build this squad they might not be able to cope with his training methods; no one executes anything well when they're gassed. Particularly Enzo, who I've been tracking since he left River Plate. He's a starting central midfielder for what was a very athletic World Cup winning team. We all watched him play into extra time in the final without too much of a drop off, he is not lacking for stamina. His possession stats have dropped and he's better than that.

It's highly recommended and a MUST for the Chelsea FC management, coaching staff, people working on this club who are involved in the transfer-market to permanently sell, do not extend their contract, do not offer loan with buy back clause condition, recall or return players that came from another club that are currently on loan to play for Chelsea FC, players that have an age above 27 years old, inconsistent (limited playing time, unable to perform well) regardless of age, players that are not comfortable playing different position instead of their natural position, including players who will turn 27 years old and above ON OR BEFORE 2027, remaining UEFA Champions League Final Winners of 2020/2021 season and we are referring to Silva (39), Bettinelli (31), Lukaku (30), Ziyech (30), Arrizabalaga (29), Sterling (29), Chilwell (27), Sarr (25), Disasi (25), Cucurella (25), James (24), Chalobah (24), Gallagher (23), Mudryk (23), Broja (22), Jackson (22), Badiashile (22), Madueke (21), Maatsen (21), Datro Fofana (21), Chukwuemeka (20), Ugochukwu (19), Ângelo Gabriel Borges Damaceno or Angelo Gabriel (19), Deivid Washington (18).
If the midfielders like Caicedo (2031) & Fernandez (2032) does not improvement and still show some inconsistencies, better sell them next season. Honestly, we will not win the premiere league, carabao cup, FA cup, community shield, and qualify the champions league until 25/26 season.
The future captains of this club will be Nkunku, Palmer, Colwill,& Gusto for the next 7 years. Practical thing to do now by the management is to promote consistently Chelsea FC Academy players and sign cheap and quality wingers, strikers, defensive midfielders, left back, right back and rotational. Then pay for the debts for the meantime and acquire more assets on the next 3 to 5 years, then it would also help to widen the salary cap to sign key players like of Osimehn and many more. Change strategy on signing potential key players of Chelsea FC to improve our financials.
