why didn't you show how you prepped your hair for bed? that's an important part
I was thinking the same thing but I'm assuming she put it up in a pineapple..
She use the pineapple method at night I read it in another comment.
sooo i tried using this method with the EcoStyler Olive Oil hair gel (my personal staple) and girl ... i. am. a. believer! I have NEVER been able to get my wash n goes to last this long! with pineapple-ing & a nice aloe vera juice/rose water/distilled water spritz the next day and i'm good to go. TYSM!
I just used that method and it is amazing ! I always thought it would make my hair too crunchy if I used Eco styler allover but not at all! My curls are defined and have so much mouvement ! Game changer ! couldnt thank you enough. And that bucket of Eco is so hilarious ! I crack up everytime u pull it out

Ooooooooooooooh CHILE! You have officially come my hair crush!!!! I have a ginormous bucket of the pink Eco Styler gel. I bought it at a beauty supply store in June 2016 and Im not even 50% done with it. I did wash and gos all summer and through the fall. It's worth purchasing, ya'll!

Thank you so much for this easy to follow tutorial. Your hair is gorgeous & although I love your hair, I know my hair is just that-my hair & have come to realize no 2 heads are alike. But I am on my 2nd week of my wash and go regimen and it's starting to take form & has a shape like never before. Lesson learned from YOU is to be consistent.. I am looking forward to my hair being healthy & hopefully this will also help my crown to thicken up... You've helped me to feel confident with wearing my hair out instead of pinned up. the olive oil eco styler gel was the first one I ever used but I find it always made my hear hard and auger crunchy and then I went to the argan oil and it was less crunchy and it felt way more moisturise so my hair definitely loves argan oil and vitamin e oil

add olive oil to your eco it makes a custard. ....moisturizing and hold in one shot.

Your wash and go is BOMB girl! I have the same curl pattern as you but I know have to deep condition more to get them to pop! If I could just stop being so lazy! 😩

Gloria Jackson A tip I use that might help you is to deep condition BEFORE you wash it...I spray my hair, apply DC let it sit then if you wash in shower that way u wash it out then continue with poo and conditioner...keeps showers from being to long.

With my very thick hair even when I apply loads of gel to my roots it's still puffy. It just makes the roots harder to dry. On the plus side I do not have to pick out my roots at all.

the secret to your style is a good base cut... how do you instruct the stylist to cut your hair and how often do you have to cut it? if you have everything one lenght like i do, you never really see a style, is like having and umbrella shaped hair and puffy ... :(

Yes! I showed my steps but forgot to mention I pineapple every night. Forgive me! Back when I made the video I did not spritz now I mist my hair nightly.

Hi there. Love your hair! I believe I have the same texture as yours. Question though......since your hair lasts for 7 days, do you have a lot of shredding when you finally wash it out after a week? I am finding that I have a lot of shedding when I don't redo it for that amount of time. Thanks in advance for your response...
It isn't difficult to get long lasting wash n go's when you are using silicone products like the TJ conditioner, Macadamia Masque and Paul Mitchell conditioner (water soluble silicone). The silicone acts as a sealant for moisture. The problem with non-water soluble silicones is you have to sulfate shampoo them out to re-moisturize hair. I personally use and love the Paul Mitchell, but do not use other silicone products. Instead, I pair the PM and gel (Eco styler or kinky-curly) with a pomade on top or underneath like Oyin or John Master's to lock in moisture for 3-5 day hair. I can skip sulfate shampoo if my hair gets dry and just rinse, co-wash or use a gentle cleanser like Deva-curl before restyling for week 2.
I love your hair😍😍 but don't your scalp gets flakey/dry from putting gel all the way to your roots? If not, what do u do to moisturize your scalp? Thank you.

my question is about the conditioning part. The first time you conditioned you condition with the regular conditioner with that came with the shampoo and then rinse with warm water right? And then you use the same conditioner to rinse in cold water or did you use a totally different type of conditioner? And then you use a leave-in conditioner after that? Is that how you did it?
And LAWD I need to do better about deep conditioning! Your hair is soooo shiny!

You literally have THE most perfect curls! When I wash and condition my hair, my hair just shrinks up...dunno if it's the thickness, the texture/type or maybe my hair needs to grow longer? I've been natural for two years with collar bone length hair when blown out. Any suggestions to elongate my curls? Thanks much...
When my hair isn't detangle D, it shrinks up. I don't know if that may be the case for you, but to stretch your hair for wash & gos, you can use a blow dryer & stretch it like she did in the video.

Kinsey Neal my hair is uneven too. I just simply tie a scarf over my hair while it down so my hair hangs out the back and sleep on a satin pillowcase. in the morning I just shake my hair lose and fluff.
can you pls make a video on how you pineapple and tie your hair up at night, to not ruin the curls?

When using the Paul Mitchell conditioner can you use it when just sectioning your hair? for an example when I do my wash and gos I do it in sections I apply my leave in and then my gel

Didn't the macadamia deep repair mask get discontinued? They have a new formula now that has been getting bad reviews. I really dislike it when hair companies do this.
Hi! Do you ever have a problem with Eco gel flaking after it dries? Even after I use oil to break the cast I still see whit flakes on my shirt on the 2nd & 3rd day. I hate it because I love the gel!
No! I've never experienced it. I only experience flaking if I'm wearing my hair back into a bun after a few days of wear.
Eco styler gel doesn't pair well with a lot of other products. I know I can't use Shea moisture conditioners and Ecostyler gel together without flaking. Maybe try pair the gel with something new and see if it flakes then

How do you put your hair up at night? Pineapple, scarf, nothing?
Do you refresh at any point? Just asking because on day four you had a bun at the top. Personally that ruins my curls and stretches them all the way out.
Hey! No I usually will not refresh. But what I did was spritz the sides of my hair and applied a little more gel and air dried. And the next day it was fine. :)

Lucky for me, tommorrow is my wash day, so I see if I can try the Pineapple method for my hair and see if my curls pop. But my trouble is the roots always get frizzer than my ends. Help?
Just completed my wash and go earlier today. My curls were poppin', but I still had a problem with the back. Overall, everything looked so good! Tied my hair up, and ready to show them off tommarrow.
