I'm a sailor, so I can tie a bowline! And a few other knots ... nothing animal specific? I do know this - if you can't tie a knot, tie a LOT! :D
When you start talking about knots - that first one sailors call a "cow hitch" or "clove hitch". (what you have tied until 2:10 or so on that rail) I personally use that knot if I have a single rope to make 2 jib sheets. I tie that in the back corner of the sail, and the 2 ends go back to the cockpit. I tie something like that "bull rope knot" 2 ways. One starts kinda like yours and ends in a double bowline on a bight. The other - my stepdad ties a regular bowline in a similar manner, but I can't do it that way? I can't also do my way if theres a loop there, need a bitter end. That almost looks like some kind of fishing knot - like a weird uni-knot?

Like you said there are many ways to tie that knot. And for the double braided bodies you can do it like that. With an all poly rope body that isn’t Xstitched. You need to take it over the entire rope handle and tail. That helps keep the poly body from getting that twist in it doing it that way. Not trying to correct you or anything. Just adding to it from a bullrope braider.
