The block thing in Mario is wrong. If you keep reading the manual it states that the ones that give you powerups are the ones that are the citizens of Mushroom Kingdom. Those cannot be broken.
+keychainification Here's a pic of the manual sydlexia.com/imagesandstuff/7deadlysins/super_mario_bros_instruction_manual_story.jpg What you say isn't mentioned anywhere
+keychainification I suppose that makes sense, but to me, I like the idea that Mario is unknowingly killing the people he sought to protect/rescue. It adds a certain dark feel to the game. At least to me that is.
I wonder how many he got from game theory. Probably not the Star Fox one because MatPat explained that they have metal feet is because they're animals and need them to fly planes.
Arik Hostetler there was a lot of these secrets i heard for the first time on Game Theorists channel. Like Donkey Kong and Mario even That the bricks in the Mario-Games are people, wich Mario destroys a lot of

+5persondude Except that your wouldn't really play a video game, at least not in the way that you normally do. Instead, most likely you would be performing the same really boring task over and over and over again, every single day.
+tank butt It's basically free now. Why not spend 4 days of your 30 earning enough gold to buy a month of subscription time when you're not in jail? That's what I do...
Where are you getting 64 points from for the N64 logo? I only count 48. 4 corners on each yellow, top & bottom, make 32. 4 corners on the diagonal slant of the N, x4 sides, makes 16. 32 + 16 = 48. Maybe if you counted some points twice as being part of 2 separate triangles, but individual points are 48.
not really, as I provided no evidence. It proves you don't take things at face value, that is, if I were to take your comment at face value. But this is kinda basic trivia.
Michael jackson's music composed for sonic the hedgehog 3 was removed. At the time there were child sex allegations against him, sega didn't want any of that drama so they dropped his stuff and re composed.

Really? In my experience, everyone read the manual. When I was a kid and my friends and I had just bought a game in town, we would always be reading through the manual on the bus or car ride home as we were just so excited about the game.
I never read manuals, I don't look for cheats either. I just kind of.. prance around idiotically and do all the main quests until the last minute. ~ c;
1.27 64 faces? No! No it's not. I counted. 4x outside full N faces (like the big blue and green ones) 8x square horizontal faces (you can see four yellow ones at the top) 8x sloped rectangular faces on the top and bottom of the diagonal section of the N's (like the red one at the front left, green at the back left, and red on the underside at the front right) 4x inside incomplete N faces (like the blue face at the back, which continues behind the front left red/green cross bar That makes 24. 64 vertices? No again! 16x on the top (four for each yellow square) 16x on the bottom 16x for the inside acute angles of the N shapes That makes 48.
+Asha2820 I guess he misunderstood this when he read this somewhere. The number you got for the faces is right but there are only 40 vertices. Thus there are 40+24=64 vertices and faces. ;)
+Asha2820 So I counted again and apparently we both made a mistake there. At the inner angles each N has 4 vertices, but the ones facing to the inside of the whole figure are shared between each N, so there are not 16, but only 12 of them, resulting in a total of 44 vertices. :P
IRaymusI I dunno.... For that to be the case, the inner angles of the N's would all have to be at the same height. It looks to me like the acute angle on the right side of each N is slightly lower than the the acute angle on the left. Also note that you need to take into account the perspective. Maybe it's an optical illusion, but the blue and green N's look like slightly different shapes.
+Asha2820 Hmm, yeah... Looking at the green N the angles seem to be the same hight, while on the blue one they seem to be at different hights. It seems that if you construct a real logo it's best to leave them at slightly different hights and that the animation is a bit inaccurate in general. The creators obviously never thought about this issue. xD
+Chaotic Arrow I dont think so... But listen to the Sonic 3 Credits.. then listen to Strangers in Moscow! The music in the background does follow the same progression.
ShiroiHikari It does. A user here on TH-cam named Yuzoboy made a bunch of Sonic 3 + MJ mashups and they're all pretty spot on. Jam + Carnival Night Zone and Straingers in Moscow + Credits are probably my favorites.

regarding halo - it was not changed to a FPS when Microsoft bought Bungie; after the major Mith 2 recall. Employees at Bungie kept wanting to get the camera closer to the characters which lead to them changing it to a 3rd person shooter - you can see this in Mac world footage of the game. The Final Fantasy one is actually false. It was explained in a dev interview that Square simply wanted a game that had the initials as their main franchise because "F" is the 6th letter in the alphabet and 6 has something to do with the mathematics of a square. In fact, they even said that they weren't accepting of the name "Final Fantasy" being the name of a new game at first, especially during their financial crisis as they figured everyone would assume this very scenario. So, what this means is that, Square fully intended on FF being a huge selling franchise with multiple installments.
Hey Dolan, @ 20 you missed another similar case, in the original Tribes skiing wasn't part of the game, rather it was discovered (much like bunny hopping in half-life and subsequent source titles) and incorporated into the sequels as a feature.

Holy hell I never once heard or knew about the towers on the ps2.
1.27
64 faces? No! No it's not. I counted.
4x outside full N faces (like the big blue and green ones)
8x square horizontal faces (you can see four yellow ones at the top)
8x sloped rectangular faces on the top and bottom of the diagonal section of the N's (like the red one at the front left, green at the back left, and red on the underside at the front right)
4x inside incomplete N faces (like the blue face at the back, which continues behind the front left red/green cross bar
That makes 24.
64 vertices? No again!
16x on the top (four for each yellow square)
16x on the bottom
16x for the inside acute angles of the N shapes
That makes 48.
+Asha2820 I guess he misunderstood this when he read this somewhere. The number you got for the faces is right but there are only 40 vertices. Thus there are 40+24=64 vertices and faces. ;)
IRaymusI
Again, there are 48 vertices. I counted them.
You try counting them!

The "Mario" in the oringinal Donkey Kong is not actually named Mario. His name is JumpMan, he is the father of Mario

That’s a pretty cool lego build of the first level in the original metal gear.
Thanks for the mind blowing tip on the Ps2
Not sure if I should feel disappointed or somewhat "proud" for knowing most of these facts.
so if you played the ps2 with no data of any games you have played would that mean there's no blocks?
Now I gotta start up my PS2 again to check my towers!
The Famicom has a microphone built in the controller and you can actually kill a specific enemy in Zelda by yelling in it in.
His lists seem to be compilations of Did You Know Gaming, and the Game Theorists.
“talagog” lol
actually Zelda DOES use the mic, but ONLY on the famicom. they just dropped it when ported to the NES
I can tell from just looking at the box art that the "Super Hornio Bros" series is actually based on the infamous Super Mario Bros. movie, not the actual Mario games.

I liked the PS2 one. Never knew that. Time to pull it back out
That Diablo one got me
I haven't even finished this video and I'm already losing my mind is that true about the PS2 cubes!!!!!
" But this is just a theory"
