Ahh, the sword flying in Halo 2. I remember those days... That game had so many easter eggs and little fun tricks in it that it gave me and my friends hundreds of hours of gameplay. My favorite was always getting the Scarab gun, just because of how you needed to seduce a banshee in order to attain it. Good times. :)
The better glitch for this is vehicle bouncing which is pretty easy. Found this glitch in the early days of Halo 2 and wish I had the video recording equipment at the time to show everyone. Took about 5 months after release for a video of it to appear online.
Going back and being able to do some of the old glitches on the MCC edition was really great, however it was a shame that others were fixed due to the increase in the fps (superbounces, clipping through barriers VIA vehicles), not to mention I never knew about one of the last halo 2 patches that fixed the momentum part of sword canceling where you would fly past your buddies at high speeds. This fixed a number of glitch spots such as getting out of Turf, getting on top of Terminal, getting on top/outside Gemini, getting outside Ivory Tower, etc. Sadly it remained patched in MCC so that was another downer for me.
Another (and better) way to do the sword glitch was to get a sword and rocket launcher as your two weapons. Pull out your launcher and target a far away enemy player. Just as you fire the launcher, quickly switch to your sword. If you did it correctly, you would leap to the enemy target that was in the sights of the rocket launcher. There was also a way to further glitch this out as a superjump, thus propelling you far beyond your original target. This was all patched out eventually though.
I duped rare candies all the time, until I learned about this little thing called Effort Value. The lesson I learned was that Pokemon on a strict rare candy diet grow up weak as a kitten.
BlueUncia Effort value doesn't mean anything in the red/blue. Strongest pokemon trainers can be beaten with a single level 60 pokemon and only way to fight against better enemies was to use link cable and fight your irl friends. And if you did care about your stats, you could just duplicate protein/iron/carbos/etc and use 10 of those on your pokemon and then use PC box trick to maximize it's stats. But what's the fun in that? You'd just one shot your friends also and then even the link cable fighting would be boring.
maybe you can help me i play pokemo (a pokemon online game for gen 3) and well im a complete noob where is the best places to level my pokemon from 40 to the 60 range so i can actually take on the elite 4?
Ash Ketchum True, you could correct the EVs that way if you wanted to. After beating the Elite Four on Red and Blue, I spent a lot of time in N64's Coliseum, so I needed strong level 100s to take on the harder bosses. I also played against my brother a lot, so level 60 just didn't cut it for me, and neither did Rare-Candied level 100s. We both used only properly trained 100s. XD
hardwirecars That depends on which 3rd gen game we're talking about here. Are you in Hoenn or in Kanto? Andrew D'Acunto So much technical skill and so many inputs are involved when it comes to competitive. 0:19 I found out about that glitch after actually beating it XD 2:58 Yeah not me. This is the first I've heard of it. 8:50 Isn't that more like a glitch?
Honorable mentions: Fallout: New Vegas duplication bug Skyrim (ps3 only) opening barred doors through the other side Skipping ALL of Oblivion by jumping into a building early Destiny loot cave Flying in Morrowind Skyrim's Iron Daggers (c'mon bethesda..)
Ice Bird Gaming Yeah, some people said there's a different method for it. I don't know what they are though, but I did the PS method on my Xbox 360 and it worked.
Owen Xm In Skyrim a good way to level up Smithing is to create Iron Daggers over, and over, and over, and over, and eventually, you'll have max 100 in Smithing. Also if you level up sneaking you can insta-kill anything with an Iron Dagger and the iron dagger is one of the weakest weapons in the game because it's a beginner weapon.
Me and my friends used to play chintendo at sleepovers. First guy to fall asleep got '10' wrote on his chin in perm marker and his palm superglued to his forehead. We exploited there tiredness. lol
It's cool that I know why 129 specifically counts as a negative number. In binary, sometimes people need a way to get a negative number. So they use the leftmost number in the variable to show positive or negative. The way binary works for anyone that doesn't know is it works in a systems of 2 numbers per digit, whereas most people use a system of 10 numbers per digit. Binary uses 8 numbers to show any number from 0 to 255. 0 would be 00000000, 1 would be 00000001, 2 would be 00000010, 3 would be 00000011, and so on. However, sometimes you need a negative number, and a brilliant person decided that the easiest way to do this would be to make it so any number above 128 would be counted as negative by the program. So: -2 = 10000010 and 2 = 00000010. But then this leads to the problem shown in the video, whenever a variable goes too high, it'll reach into the negative. This leads to many a famous glitch, and many not so much.
The best Skyrim exploit IMO is the alchemy/enchanting feature. If done correctly you can end up with weapons with +900 fire damage as an example, and armor with hundreds of points of health/magicka/stamina.
Missingno doesn't corrupt your save data. All it does is jumble your hall of fame records. Also, the old man is in Viridian City, not Pallet Town. You should of really looked into this more.
I had one in an old gameboy game called Magi Nation, in the starting town you could buy a single-use stat boosting item for like 8 whatever the money was, and sell it for 12 at the same store. I can't remember the details since it was years ago but this way I never had to worry about funding
You forgot one, majoras mask, where youre able to wear the main mask (cant remember what its called) anywhere in the game, it took me a long time to get it to work but it is a very fun glitch .
***** For me it works with and without... but I haven't played vanilla for a long time. Although it could be that the trick doesn't work on consoles anymore... Can anyone on consoles confirm that?
Valtremors It sort of works. You can still put the bucket on their head but they seem to have added something so the bucket goes flying off of the person's head soon after being put on which I find very entertaining.
Cloning in Emerald , at battle frontier was one of the best exploits. You were able to clone what ever pokemon you want, and clone items, You could create countless rare candies, master balls and evoling stones. This was awsome.
I think it's funny how he calls it a glitch when it's not. it's an exploit like the tile of the video says. and he only mentions wave dashing when there are a lot more exploits like l-canceling, moon walking, shuffling, etc.
The pokemon you have, as well as what you name your character affects the way the (missing no) glitch works, For me it added some hidden music to fights and new moves, it affects everyone differently its really cool.
One of the greatest exploits which changed the genre forever was combos in Street Fighter II. Initially a bug found in the car crush bonus stage, it was later used in matches which changed the way fighting games from then on.
My littlebrother managed to corrupt my Pokémon Red by overuse of Missingno, to the point where I can't even boot the game up. The Nintendo logo drops down as a pixelated mess, and then.... nothing. People don't believe me and say that Missingno. cannot corrupt your game like that, but I have the proof in my hand that it CAN. Perhaps it was because, unlike the rest of us (that should be the name of the sequel to Last of Us), he didn't active the Missingno. glitch once, then used the rare candies he got, rince rather repeat, no, apparently he kept bumping into Missingno. a number of time in a row (because 130 rare candies at a time apparently weren't enough for him) so my guess is the glitch just kept stock pilling until it crashed upon itself.... kinda like what happens in Mario 2 if you use the life glitch to go beyond a certain number.
Spooky Skeleton Well what is to say that the glitch of MissingNo. didn't spread all throughout the rom? And I will have you know, that before ir completely broke, I was straded at Red's house where I couldn't do anything. If I walked up the stairs the game glitched out, if I walked out the door the game glitched out, if I tried to access anything in the menu the game glitched out. Then for every time we turned it on and off it got worse. First it wouldn't even let us continue, then it wouldn't let us past the title screen, and lastly it wouldn't even boot up the game. And all of these events happened after MissingNo. Dude, have you seen the videos on yt of all the sh*t MissingNo. can cause?
PikaLink91 You talk about it like its a curse or a sickness, lol. Missigno is part of the save game, which doesnt load until you click continue. Nothing else. If all of this shit happens to you, it might happen after you did stuff with Missingno, but Missingno is not the cause of it. Just a broken ROM
It's kind of funny how so many people blame things on Missingno. For some reason people attest to catching it will destroy your game, I've caught it a multitude of times, easily over 50, yet I have had no actual game-breaking glitches. If anything Missingno. is helpful as he helps you cause a lot of glitches that you yourself have to initiate with your inventory slots etc. He's also not the only error-handling pokemon, there are quite a few others. My personal favorte has to be 'Q to forcefully fuse pokemon together.
I remember a time when I was playing Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly for the gamecube, I made spyro swim into a corner somewhere in the hubworld and he glitched out and swam through a wall, this left me in a permanent swim mode and allowed me to go to any level by 'swimming' to unreachable areas.
Mc Mew Sorry, I meant no under the assumption that Osvaldo didn't look it up already, not that your definition was wrong. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
surprised he didn't mention the restoration potion exploit on Skyrim, that one glitch is the reason i still play the game, it makes the game so much fun cause you can literally make yourself as powerful as you want, either insanely op'ed or just slightly op'ed and far as i know they never did patch this exploit which is awesome.
lol I didn't know about the "Bucket-Head" thing in Skyrim. Personally, I'd rather improve my Thief skills the hard way, it's just no fun using the Console cheat for this! I also read about another Console cheat (can't remember the name, but Google it, it's in that huge list of cheats) where it takes you to basically a house with every item/weapon/armour/etc in the chests found inside. But again I say, I'd rather get them the hard way, it's no fun just getting them without an adventure involved! IT'S SKYRIM!! As for MISSINGNO. in Pokemon, back when the game came out (and before the principal at my school banned games). The glitch came from the one guy that had internet back then, and he taught my friends and I how to use it. Long story short, everyone got 100 Rare Candies and whenever we'd battle each other, we were to make sure all our Pokemon were level 50! Too bad we didn't know at the time that rare candies does nothing for your stats, but we were kids...
As for the Skyrim things, in my opinion most of them are less of cheats and more for debugging or testing purposes. Of course people can abuse them but that is the choice of the player. A lot of console commands were implemented more-so to fix glitches that may occur, such as if you get stuck in a rock or fall through a wall, you can tcl to get back. If you get stuck in a dungeon and the door's script or w/e is bugging out you can coc whiterun or something to forcibly leave the cave. If a quest is bugged out, you can force progression, if you didn't receive a quest item when you should have and for some reason or another cannot get it again you can give it to yourself, if an NPC is lost you can bring them back, and so on.
I'm surprised that he put the bucket head glitch as his choice for a Skyrim exploit. There are far more exploitative glitches in that game, like using buckets to clip through walls or using the Ohgma Infinium[?] book in a bookcase to max out your level.
Rachel Fujotesh Don't forget the invisible chest in Dawnstar and the secret chests underneath the market of Windhelm, oh and even though they patched the Ohgma Infinum you can still do a trick where you can clone it!
The bucket head glitch has not been patched but it is very hard to do as some shopkeepers will follow you when you are sneaking and sometimes even the slightest head movement from them will remove the bucket
I still have it, though I did the Cinnebar island east coast cheat. I had a few on my red and to this day it still hasn't erased (now the internal battery is going to die and erase >.>).
Probably more obscure, but Arena Abuse in 10 of the Fire Emblem games is a great way to grind for levels and money in a game that normally doesn't allow that. Also, the Mine Glitch in FE7 that let you control the opponent's turn and just discard all their weapons, making them defenceless.
My favorite Super Metroid sequence breaks are as follows: Getting the Power Bomb without the Ice Beam (wall jumping), getting anywhere that normally asks you to have high jump boots (also wall jumping). and getting to the Wrecked Ship without the grapple beam (take your pick, either arm pump and time your jumps perfectly to get across the room with the missile upgrade, OR, you can just shinespark across which is fucking cool).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the I believe the maximum number of lives in the Mario exploit before it starts bugging out is 127 and not 129, because that value (which is technically 128, since computer science counting starts at 0) is a special value in base 2 (it's equal to 2^7), which is the common base for numbers in variables in programming languages.
How about the Grenade Launcher ammo glitch in the original Resident Evil Remake for the GameCube? It definitely makes things a ton easier in hard and invisible enemy modes.
There was an exploit in Oblivion, that's Oblivion without any updates or anything, where you could multiply any item. You did this by having a bow and a quiver equipped, while you are drawing the bow you go into the inventory and throw out an item you want duplicated close the menu and release the arrow. The item would get duplicated the same amount of times as there are arrows in the quiver. I remember how I used to fill taverns with watermelons.
Your Sunshine You can do some crazy stuff with potions and custom spells in Oblivion, you can end up being so fast and jump so high that you don't need quick travel.
Wow, I'm surprised the wall clip in the Armory of General Knoxx from Borderlands didn't get a mention. It still exists today where there's an area on the floor in the armory that you can clip through, basically giving you an unlimited amount of loot.
With the OoT bottle trick, you can do the same thing with fairies or anything you can catch with a bottle. However if you turn items you can restock into bottles (such as Deku nuts) into a bottle and then collect more of that item, it will revert back into a non-bottle item.
If you're going to use the bottle glitch on ocarina of time be extremely careful with which item you do it to, my first play through of the game I used the glitch on the bombchus and ended up being screwed when i got to Ganons castle because I couldn't get passed a room where they were required.
(Sigh) Why do people still make this mistake? Missingno. does not corrupt your save file. I have caught Missingno. (and it's sister glitch 'M) plenty of times. As have many other players. With no ill effects other then two things. 1: Temporary graphical errors which can be easily fixed by looking at a Pokemon in your party's status screen. 2: Your Hall of Fame is replaced with a jumbled mess. But who really cares about this? It's more entertaining this way. Let's not forget that, it could be a case of putting the blame on something else. These game carts had a bad habit of losing data because of too much dirt, improper care, or age. One more thing, there are legit game destroying glitches in R/B/Y. But those are not Pokemon, they are glitched moves known as "Super Glitch", which can rewrite data in a way that makes your game unplayable. The more you know.
Andrew W Lost the ability to save? The save battery might have given out. That can prevent you from saving ever again. Also, while I may not have proof of this. You can just look up many videos on TH-cam that explain what Missingno. is, and why it exists. It's pretty much agreed on that Missingno. is harmless due to the studies many glitch experts have done with it.
Andrew W Technology is a fickle thing. Again, the fact your game won't save anymore sounds like the save battery died. Maybe you just got really unlucky with yours? Though there is one thing I didn't consider... what version of the game did you use? English version Missingno.s are safe (though Yellow version's is prone to crashing). But the other regions could be a bit different.
RavelordNito Okay, as the last poster asked me to. Where's your proof? Unfortunately, we're both in a bit of a stalemate, due to each of us not having definitive proof of our claims. Have you looked on places like Glitch City Labs for your proof? That site specializes in Pokemon related glitches. If anyone would know, it would be them. Edit: glitchcity.info/wiki/index.php/Glitch_Myths#MissingNo._erasing_save_files Okay, there's something on this.
Andrew W If you look at the game's programming, the glitch itself is 100% safe, as an ex-rom hacker, I can assure that it was not missingno, but something else instead
Some of my favorite exploits were the Ogre Battle 64 item duplication (Yay for infinite alignment changes!), and the original gameboy Link's Awakening glitch.. In the first dungeon's mini boss, if you jumped off the main platform up into a corner while jumping over and over, you could glitch into the wall and end up in other dungeons, allowing you to gather their treasures. Oddly, it seemed pretty random on where it would take you.
There were a lot in Mario Kart 64. In DK's Jungle Parkway there was a way fall through the map and skip part of the race if I remember correctly The quite difficult infamous Wario stadium cheat to skip half a lap by jumping over the boundary And in Frappe Snowland at the beginning, back up a bit and fall off the course into the water which let you skip in an entire lap
there was a glitch on the ps3 ver of borderlands the pre sequel i found where everytime i plugged a second controller in that character would spawn with 10 golden keys. It would also reset everytime I logged them in
missingno actually had quite a low chance of corrupting your save data, the reason the misconception exists is because of numerous other glitch pokémon within the game that do all sorts of nasty things, including a couple that make the cartridge completely unusable
Missingno has been proven to not interfere with your save data at all. The ONLY downside is that it will mess up your hall of fame entries but that is honestly more funny than it is bad. The reason people think Missingno is the reason the games file gets corrupted is because theres a little internal battery in the cartridge of the games that runs dry after so many years.
I've catched MissingNo many times and never had any issues. Best thing ever was battling my friends in Stadium with my Kangaskhan (evolved MissingNo) with two Water Guns and Sky Attack.
Even though Danger Dolan said the Bucket Exploit was patched for Skyrim (as of Uploaded date Jan 22.), it still works in vanilla Skyrim without any mods. Granted, I did have all the DLC for the game, though...
i don't think they actually completely patched the bucket exploit, i have the most recent version of skyrim and did it not long ago, however it was harder to keep the bucket on their head than i expected and i did need to go into sneak to successfully steal anything.
On friv (website with games on), there is a game called Electric Man (or something like that) and you can actually skip fights by pressing Esc at the very start and you will auto-win.
i remember that sword fly glitch. I also remember the sniper fly glitch. Looking for that golden warthog were good times. I got okay enough at walking outside the map i started doing it in matchmaking. My team mates would actually stop killing the opponents to just ask me how im outside
I have caught at least 50 missingnos in my red version and only one time i noticed my game was gone when I got back on. But every time you catch one, if you give it a rare candy it evolve to a Kangaskan.
I thought you would have included the Oghma Infinium from skyrim, where you could reach lvl 81 in a matter of minutes. Or creating potions that increase potion effects and then keep making those until you create so many that you can make god armor through that. Anyways great video!
The Abyssal Lagiacrus glitch is a glitch you can perform in MH3U. In the Underwater Ruins where you fight him, there is a spot that you can swim and, barring that A. Lagi doesn't hit you with a thunder ball or a whirlpool, cannot hit you whatsoever. Gunners primarily use this glitch and exploit to kill this usually difficult monster within mere minutes.
In Banjo Kazooie Nuts N Bolts you could place a large box inside your cart, stand on the box and highlight your cart. This allowed you to lift the cart while you stand on the box, letting you fly around, getting anywhere in the overworld right from the start of the game.
I was thinking Left for Dead Survival for a second. Almost every map in LfD and LfD2 had super OP spots where nothing could reach you. And in LfD2, you can bypass Spitter Acid by launching someone.
HALO 2 Sword cancelling was the best you could also use the rocket or sniper reticle to target someone, switch to your sword quickly, slash, and go flying years of fun when i was a kid
Ahh, the sword flying in Halo 2. I remember those days... That game had so many easter eggs and little fun tricks in it that it gave me and my friends hundreds of hours of gameplay. There's an exploit in valve where we can't say the number that follows 2
That's why there's no HL number after 2
Level 3 sentry in tf2
or portal or team fortress
Gabe Newell What is 2+1?
Bill Kerman 42
it isn't an exploit, you need an exploit to say it.
I still play Skyrim today and Bucket Theft still works.
I know right it still does
Even now it works!

+BananaGaming hi dad
I remember missingno. the best is when my friend left the room I grabbed a link cable and gave it to him while he wasn't looking. dick move but funny.
Some friend you were. I would have ditched you. If he didn't, you should be happy for having a friend like him.
***** I must be too then, cause I'd do the same.
***** I can definitely tell you are too. Considering it takes one to know one. You horribly inflamed volcanic shit hole.
***** itz only gaem why do u heff to be maad
***** Get f***ing used to it!!
"...a satisfying 'Poomp'!" Hahaha! I had to listen to that part five times. Loved the cute way you said 'Poomp'. :D
0:04 I totally read that as 3DS Hebrew Channel lol.
***** No, it says homebrew lol.
yeah lol
+1rkhachatryan Yeah but the joke is that homebrew almost looks like the word hebrew.
Being a Super Metroid speedrunner for about 4 years now, I find it really cool that you had it in the video. Props for doing the research into it.
"Gives you extra speed and makes you look baller as fuck" XD
Missingno. does not screw up your save file, your battery expiring does. Nintendo claimed it did to discourage people from catching/searching for it.
It's 2015 and people still believe the rumor that it will corrupt your save, that's just sad.
My brothers did that extra bottle glitch on the old N64 OoT. Still have the save file it's on.
same here! I watched my little brother do it and we were both shocked. this was years ago though, hahaa
Ethan Wiesen My older brothers are 14 years older than me though, so it happened years ago. So I never SAW them do it. But the proof is on their save file.
I also witnessed my youngest brother catch a MissingNo in Pokemon Red (TWICE) and it turnedinto two Lvl 100 Marowaks! It was fucking crazy
Ethan Wiesen I am unfamiliar with what those are as I have no interest in Pokemon. But okay then.
*****
it's a really old glitch (one of two we explored) in the Gameboy generations of Pokemon. look it up if you feel obligated c:
I've got a decent replacement for the bucket head exploit for Skyrim. Simply pick up whatever item you want to steal, walk to a location where you can't be seen, and then take the item. Not as efficient as blinding the npc, but it still helps.

Same xD

OMG YES HAAAAAAAAAAAAA
+Rick Maat i can now haha

Jason Llaguno The problem is PM is a mod. Its been accepted by the smash community but not Nintendo.
I remember Oblivion had a bunch of exploits before they were patched. Although the paintbrushes are still unpatched and can be done still.
The tank from GTA III also works in Vice City using the fly cheat and firing the cannon. After awhile you're just stuck in the air flying haha
+DucksloveRPGs and flew with tank to downtown and top of one skycraper and into it, you get to see the whole world upside down while flying.
0:19 I found out about that glitch after actually beating it XD
2:58 Yeah not me. This is the first I've heard of it.
8:50 Isn't that more like a glitch?
***** It allows you to get an infinite number of items in your 6th slot, which could be master balls or rare cadies.
The Deku Kid Oh yeah good point.
Honorable mentions:
Fallout: New Vegas duplication bug
Skyrim (ps3 only) opening barred doors through the other side
Skipping ALL of Oblivion by jumping into a building early
Destiny loot cave
Flying in Morrowind
Skyrim's Iron Daggers (c'mon bethesda..)
The barred doors glitch can be done on all platforms.
James of the MasterGamerRace PCs and Consoles unite cant get it to work on the pc version =(
Ice Bird Gaming Yeah, some people said there's a different method for it. I don't know what they are though, but I did the PS method on my Xbox 360 and it worked.
Never playing skyrim, what do you mean "iron daggers"
Owen Xm
In Skyrim a good way to level up Smithing is to create Iron Daggers over, and over, and over, and over, and eventually, you'll have max 100 in Smithing.
So:
-2 = 10000010 and 2 = 00000010.
But then this leads to the problem shown in the video, whenever a variable goes too high, it'll reach into the negative. This leads to many a famous glitch, and many not so much.
I like the arrow dupe glitch in Oblivion...so many towns buried in ayleid stones, man.
The best Skyrim exploit IMO is the alchemy/enchanting feature. If done correctly you can end up with weapons with +900 fire damage as an example, and armor with hundreds of points of health/magicka/stamina.
I usually have an urge to re-live my beloved Ocarina Of Time yearly... So I have got to try the bottle trick next time!
Fierce Deity mask maybe?
Thats the one
3DS or N64?

I love the Nintendo 54
The endless stair "hack" fascinated me for a long time, and nothing feels better than figuring out how to do it and doing it.
when you say "in halo 2" it sounds like you are saying "inhaler 2"
Inhaler 2 was an amazing game
+Shuckle Army i hear they're working on Inhaler 6. let's not speak about 5, that abomination
you didn't say it fast and furious
Jarrod Ingram lol
Was the Skyrim bucket thief patched out? Because I still remember using it every once in a while...
Valtremors yea its not patched
***** For me it works with and without... but I haven't played vanilla for a long time. Although it could be that the trick doesn't work on consoles anymore...
Can anyone on consoles confirm that?
Valtremors still works on consoles
It works on me for both console (PS3) and PC (w/ USKP) with latest patches no problem
Valtremors It sort of works. You can still put the bucket on their head but they seem to have added something so the bucket goes flying off of the person's head soon after being put on which I find very entertaining.
up,up,down,down,left,right,left,right,B,A, START.
nice try but maybe you should look it up first.

***** Nope its ba m8
Lol is it sad that the only reason I ever remember that cheat is because of the song game over by FIR cx lol I'm a sad human being ;-;
This literally has NOTHING to do with the video.
***** Vidoe gema ref.
6:17 "To do it, he had to have no life" lol that's just cold man xD
What about the Super Mario Bros speed run glitch?
You mean the warp pipes?
No it is not :P
Cloning in Emerald , at battle frontier was one of the best exploits. You were able to clone what ever pokemon you want, and clone items, You could create countless rare candies, master balls and evoling stones. This was awsome.
Funny how they are talking about a Super Smash Melee glitch, but are not showing that version of the game....
I think the video is showcasing a homebrew mod for SSBB that, among other things, allows wavedashing(hence Melee's green greens being in Brawl.).
Justin Horton
I just think it would make more sense to show the actual glitch they are talking about.
Yes. Ocariner of time is a great game with great glitches.
Dat intrusive r.
The games dont load save data until you pressed the continue button. So its not Missingno crashing your game, its just broken as it is.
your game is broken, the save data is stored in battery backed ram that is different from the game's rom
PikaLink91
ROM is Read Only Memory, which implies that you can't write to it, meaning you cannot change it.
5:30 you can just pick up items and go to another room (hold take item command), if the shopkeeper follows you just do it quickly
D: what!! no falador massacre in runescape :c
You are right that exploit was z big thing back then
yea same
good old runescape i still have my account
Kyle Wack Animations Danger Dolan is talking about actual video games.
Cressie Cres
nice bait m9
"This can be used to make you like a god, but not an actual god. Though you'll become a boss in the next final fantasy game. "
Cracks me up!
Missingno doesn't actually cause permanent corruptions!
right? the cache resets after shutdown and missingno is actually a memory dump we programmers use as a shortcut
Actually, in my game the HMs are now impossible to use and my Hall of Fame is busted. So yeah, it actually causes permanant corruptions.
William Mount no u can actually fix that. its not permanent look it up
It's kind of funny how so many people blame things on Missingno.
William Mount You can fix it by starting a new game. It doesn't make it permanent because you don't want to restart.
What is a exploit
Google it, and you will remember it better.
Osvaldo Oregel Vega a bug or oversight that a player can take advantage of for example a duplication bug
Mc Mew Noooo...
to exploit - using something to one’s own advantage
Too bad we didn't know at the time that rare candies does nothing for your stats, but we were kids...
coc qasmoke
Rachel Fujotesh You can use buckets to clip through walls?? You've peeked my curiosity. How do you do that?
Rachel Fujotesh Don't forget the invisible chest in Dawnstar and the secret chests underneath the market of Windhelm, oh and even though they patched the Ohgma Infinum you can still do a trick where you can clone it!
The bucket head glitch has not been patched but it is very hard to do as some shopkeepers will follow you when you are sneaking and sometimes even the slightest head movement from them will remove the bucket
I usually agree with your lists, but the missingno at number one spot is...eh.
What about the link to the past walk thru walls glitch?
Iron dagger is waaaaay better than bucket
explain the 'iron dagger'?
+James Phillips Unlimited Iron Dagger Works.
Forge infinite daggers. Infinite XP. All day. Everyday.
+Absolute Configuration infinidagger!
16: Looking down in FTS.
In FTS (a game I made) you have a sniper and when you look down you jump really high, since the sniper is solid.
So, is missingno.'s sprite a jumbled version of the old man sprite?
Yipyapyop Games close if you look at the bottom right of the sprite you will see you overworld sprites eyes
What about the 'clone pokemon and items' glitch in the early game boy colour games??
Or the duplicate weapons/infinite money glitch in dead island?
I still have it, though I did the Cinnebar island east coast cheat. I had a few on my red and to this day it still hasn't erased (now the internal battery is going to die and erase >.>).
Probably more obscure, but Arena Abuse in 10 of the Fire Emblem games is a great way to grind for levels and money in a game that normally doesn't allow that. Also, the Mine Glitch in FE7 that let you control the opponent's turn and just discard all their weapons, making them defenceless.
My favorite Super Metroid sequence breaks are as follows: Getting the Power Bomb without the Ice Beam (wall jumping), getting anywhere that normally asks you to have high jump boots (also wall jumping). and getting to the Wrecked Ship without the grapple beam (take your pick, either arm pump and time your jumps perfectly to get across the room with the missile upgrade, OR, you can just shinespark across which is fucking cool).
when he said " HAVE A GOOD ONE!!" it scared me
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the I believe the maximum number of lives in the Mario exploit before it starts bugging out is 127 and not 129, because that value (which is technically 128, since computer science counting starts at 0) is a special value in base 2 (it's equal to 2^7), which is the common base for numbers in variables in programming languages.
Skyrim's magic exploit: stand still, spam the spell to lvl up, make the talent tree legendary and spam again. The same for Oblivion, I guess :)
9:23 - Number 1, I remember this bug but i got it generated another way. i suppose there are multiple ways of making this trigger happen.
Edit: glitchcity.info/wiki/index.php/Glitch_Myths#MissingNo._erasing_save_files
Okay, there's something on this.
RavelordNito people mistake the save battery in their game running out of juice for their save data being corrupted.
Andrew W If you look at the game's programming, the glitch itself is 100% safe, as an ex-rom hacker, I can assure that it was not missingno, but something else instead
the buket exploit isent patched out as far as i know, i did it yesterday. not sure about the remastered
Honest to god I had totally forgotten about the Rainbow Bridge jump in Mario Kart 64. Totally blew my mind seeing that again.
There were a lot in Mario Kart 64.
In DK's Jungle Parkway there was a way fall through the map and skip part of the race if I remember correctly
The quite difficult infamous Wario stadium cheat to skip half a lap by jumping over the boundary
And in Frappe Snowland at the beginning, back up a bit and fall off the course into the water which let you skip in an entire lap
there was a glitch on the ps3 ver of borderlands the pre sequel i found where everytime i plugged a second controller in that character would spawn with 10 golden keys. It would also reset everytime I logged them in
In pokemon colosseum for the gamecube there is a glitch where you can throw a pokeball, and not have any less than before you threw it.
6:02 This isn't patched out! if you sneak while doing that it retains the same effect.
Check out crysis exploits...from wall jump, to circle jump (fly) to leaving map etc...
missingno actually had quite a low chance of corrupting your save data, the reason the misconception exists is because of numerous other glitch pokémon within the game that do all sorts of nasty things, including a couple that make the cartridge completely unusable
I've been wondering how exactly the Missingno exploit actually happened since I found out about it in the nineties. Thanks for explaining it.
On friv (website with games on), there is a game called Electric Man (or something like that) and you can actually skip fights by pressing Esc at the very start and you will auto-win.
Daaamn I didn't expect my own favorite FF7 glitch to be in here, and even so high ranked! Good list! (And nr.1 was obvious :p)
i remember that sword fly glitch.
But every time you catch one, if you give it a rare candy it evolve to a Kangaskan.
i want that bucket glitch back! but i cant pick things up like that in the Xbox 360 version of skyrim.
Press down right joystick
thank. i will now make a giant pile of random things i find.
You can by holding y on the item :)
kk
I thought you would have included the Oghma Infinium from skyrim, where you could reach lvl 81 in a matter of minutes. Or creating potions that increase potion effects and then keep making those until you create so many that you can make god armor through that. Anyways great video!
Yeah! That MissingNo glitch was so much fun to pull off back then.
No Abyssal Lagiacrus glitch from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate?
The Abyssal Lagiacrus glitch is a glitch you can perform in MH3U. In the Underwater Ruins where you fight him, there is a spot that you can swim and, barring that A. Lagi doesn't hit you with a thunder ball or a whirlpool, cannot hit you whatsoever. Gunners primarily use this glitch and exploit to kill this usually difficult monster within mere minutes.
It's a pretty neat exploit. Too bad underwater battles were taken out in MH4U D:
My favorite weapon? Tough choice. I love my Bows and Hunting Horns, as I do love to support. But in close combat, I like Dual Swords and Long Swords.
Hey Dolan have u tried any of the Fallout games
In Banjo Kazooie Nuts N Bolts you could place a large box inside your cart, stand on the box and highlight your cart. This allowed you to lift the cart while you stand on the box, letting you fly around, getting anywhere in the overworld right from the start of the game.
haha, that last bit. made me like the video just after autoplay made me go to another video. ;) keep em comming, these blooper addons.
The fortify restoration trick in Skyrim still works, and it's definitely a game-breaker.
The super metroid Bomb Torizo skip is only possible in the PAL version. Can not done on the NTSC version.
I was thinking Left for Dead Survival for a second. Almost every map in LfD and LfD2 had super OP spots where nothing could reach you. And in LfD2, you can bypass Spitter Acid by launching someone.
What about the Pokemon Emerald pokemon/item cloning exploit?
What about the plate glitch in Skyrim where you can faze through walls (you can use this in the Thieve's Guild to get hidden chests).
HALO 2 Sword cancelling was the best
you could also use the rocket or sniper reticle to target someone, switch to your sword quickly, slash, and go flying
years of fun when i was a kid
that it, until MW2 came out (;
