I got the College Hills Honda kit for Christmas and installed it in about 15 minutes. Huge difference for sure! I used this video for a quick tutorial and it was easy. You'll need a 12mm and 13 mm wrench, flat head screwdriver, and some zip ties. Recommend getting some 1/4 protective cable wrap. Great video and upgrade! RECOMMENDED!
The horn kit arrived yesterday and I installed it today. It took less than 10 minutes and it has made a huge difference. No more cowering in shame and embarrassment when I need to honk the horn. Money well spent.
Almost was hit in parking lot a couple of months ago when clearly even though I was laying on horn the other drived headed at me didn't hear it. Installed the horn upgrade today. Took my time, about 15 minutes. Sweated a little getting original connector off original horn didn't want to break it. But it popped of using a screw driver to pry it. Everything else went smoothly. What an improvement. Now others can hear it. Well worth it. What was Honda thinking given the otherwise decent car.
I just received the horn for my CRV 2024 and installed it within 5 minutes, installation is too easy and sounds way perfect now, the sound the additional horn makes matches the Body.. more stronger and powerful. ❤
Received the upgrade kit today ,installed in about 20 min. What a big difference in output, now I’m not ashamed of using the horn and other motorists will definitely hear it. Thank you College Hills Honda ! 👍🏽
I'm really happy with this product and the result. The original horn reminded me of a clown car horn, and I was actually embarrassed to use it. This kit arrived in a few days, was expertly packaged, and installed almost as exactly the same as this tutorial. The only thing I had to do differently was to loosen the 12 mm bolt on the existing horn so I could access the connector to remove it and attach the wiring kit. Other than that, Everything went smooth and it took me about 15 minutes total. Thank you.
Thank you so much for posting this video and for the direct link to the upgrade kit. I received mine today, and installed in 30 minutes. Horn sounds much, much better.
It’s a simple kit with a horn, Y wire adapter, and bolt. It took me no longer than five minutes to install. It appears there is a factory threaded grommet for a second horn. Perhaps Honda was cutting costs or had supply issues with the second horn.
I just got this installed and now my horn doesn’t sound like a clown car anymore lol huge difference and seems like it added more safety for me and for other people around me in case I needed to use it.
We have a cr v (2024) hybrid in my shop and I honked the horn to test it. I thought it was damaged in the crash haha. I should recommend this upgrade to them.
The factory stock horn was embarrassing and flipping people off was not doing it. Took maybe 15 minutes to install because I added split wire tubing to keep it factory looking. So much better!
Let's say you would have an electrical issue and it could be tied to the installation of the horn. Then the answer would be yes. That repair could be denied. Otherwise no.
Since we're splitting the horn output into two horns, is the horn output rated to support both horns, and will it not affect other car electronics, especially if we need a prolonged blowing of our horn (e.g. getting sandwiched between two semis)? Worst nightmare--horn gives up in an emergency.
I believe the new low tone horn that is added is and then sounded in unison with the higher pitched original to produce the new horn sound that now doesn't sound like a "clown horn"
@@kim.jong.skillzin the hybrid CRv you also need 4’ of 18 gauge stranded copper wire, wire nuts, a crimping tool, 3/8” split loom wire wrap, dielectric grease, and electrical tape. Any questions just ask. I made a picture guide along the way if you want me to send it to you.
Old horn is a hi-tone, kit includes a lo-tone. Besides the point, the horns Honda makes and/or provides for their cars are mostly bulletproof, so there's no need to replace the oldie.

Hi, did you install just like the video demonstrated? Did cross wiring over through the back? Thank you!

Thank you college hills honda!! My new 24 CR-V doesn't sound like a Vespa when I honk !!
Nice kit, reasonably price IMO. 10mm for the nut on the horn, 13mm for the mounting bolt...
And my OEM horn has a 12mm bolt, which I had to loosen so I could reach the disconnect lever on the connector.

10 minute install and sounds great
Yeah, what WAS HONDA thinking on this tin horn!! Now we need to spend yet MORE $ to fix their products. Unacceptable
Is there any way to add a bullbar with interference with the radar ?
Do the 2025 crvs have the weak horn also?

No. I just installed it on my Sport-L Hybrid.
