The one thing I wish they did in season 5 was explore more of the tension and potential conflict between Uhtred and Aethaelflaed that we saw in season 4 before giving them closure as they did with Alfred who was present and engaged throughout most of season 3. They had her die off a bit too quickly. But great final season, great characters, great chemistry and sad ending to their story😢.
Bernard Cornwell is a master of his trade. I loved the books and the series apart from the last book being condensed into a 90 minute movie was extraordinary and magnificent in scope. But this scene was the one that broke my heart, they both deserved better. Having said this could someone please explain WHY the last book was a movie and not a series.
I was very close to death last week and thanks to my god's lord Odin and lord Thor I am 5 days into recovery from alcoholism I really hope to stay sober for the rest of my life
Aethelhaed and Uthred worked for a greater cause and sacrificed their lives for the people and greater good yet they suffer n suffer n suffer 💔💔💔. This is not the ending I want them. It’s too cruel for what they have done and they deserve better life.
I never thought he should have been with Aethelred anyway. He should have protected Gisela and his family. He should have let Alfred worry about his daughter.
