My sister, brother-in-law, and niece had a six floor walk up in NYC for a while. It was quite a trek up those stairs LOL My brother-in-law says it becomes much easier after a couple weeks of doing the stairs...just don't carry too much up with you. They got to be pros at buying bits and pieces from the market each day to limit it to a couple small grocery bags being toted up the stairs.
The apartment is beautiful. I am happy that you are closer to you siblings. You all can spend more time together. Good luck on your job search. I pray that you find a job you love!

Oh Lissy, I am sooo happy for you!!! yes, transitions are unnerving and I surely felt your emotions in one of your recent videos, bu I believe that's absolutely normal for strength building. You're my hero!! I love that you took this "leap of faith", which I'm sure will all work out for you!!! I love your temporary apt-the stairs will surely be an asset. And being close to your family is fantastic-I'm all about family closeness. You seem to have jumped right into your routine of exercise, hair, nails and of course shopping and this makes me really happy for you-I wish you everything in finding the perfect job so you can stay in this "happy place". So glad the beginning of this transition is going so well. The apt. is great...don't forget anything when leaving for work, errands, so that you won't have to walk back up those stairs!!! You may not need the gym with those stairs. When you said butcher, I almost thought you'd finish with a baker and a candlestick maker ! ROFL

Hey you were in my neighborhood, the Essex Street Market has been there since 1940. Sadly, they are moving across the street to the new building being built across Delancey. I love the old market it's old but feels special I hope that makes sense. The plans a few years a go was to build a commercial building where the market is now. I hope they build above it and leave the old building. But the old is not wanted it seems like in this city. I hope you have a wonderful time here , your apartment is great so much room. I grew up in a five story walk up getting grocery and laundry up there was not fun.

I've had that tote for years! I don't think it's the GST. I believe it was a seasonal bag at the time. I really love it but if I didn't have a classic flap, I'd probably go for that first if it was me. These are fun decisions to make!!
