      Thanks. Panel still keeps performing too. Few reviews bagging them but mine keeps going strong.

      Yeh it feels really solid. See how it performs over the journey. I’ve heard other brands drop charge capability fairly soon after they come out of the box. Reckon this will keep it going.

      Will be back in stock soon.

      I’m impressed that it is deriving such a high percentage of its rated power. From my experience this is quite unusual.

      It’s my first ever blanket so wasn’t sure what to expect, but very happy with it. I’ve seen another review on TH-cam of it also with the same results

    Been down the whole Eco Flow rabbit hole and was ready to drop $2500 on a battery box and solar....now this comes along....

    Great review and good timing, have bought a bit of itech world kit of late and although I think their sales are BS I like their products!!

    I have an anderson plug on our van which i believe is connected straight to the batteries so believe will need to use the controller. Is it just as straightforward as pligging the connection on the panels into the anderson plug of the controller and then the 10m anderson cable from the out of the controller to the connection on the van?

    • @PerpetualTransient
      @PerpetualTransient  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeh i believe so. Might need to check the output matches the battery type (lithium or agm) somehow - they should say on their website. Also i think the lead supplied was only 5m (i got it wrong)

    That looks pretty good.
    I'm keen to see how your electrial system performs as a whole, including all the cooking appliances.
    My build is still in the planning stage, mainly because I keep going in circles.
    I initial plan started off with gas cooking, diesel hot water/heating and basic solar/battery for lights and fridge.
    Then I thought we would go all electric, and that's when I started to over think it, and was convincing myself that 48v would be the way to go.
    Reality is that I don't know enough about the subject , so now I am back to where I started.
    I would be quite interested to learn what path your journey took to end up with the package that you now have.

      Hi jacinta - not sure if you’re aware that there’s a 20 part build series on my channel? Episode 1 i talk about design philosophy, I think episode 18 i run through sizing the elec system. The finale episode 20 i test out the elec components to see draw on amps etc. cheers

    Hi can you charge lithium batteries too from that solar controller unit and blanket

    • @PerpetualTransient
      @PerpetualTransient  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi mate - the blanket and its supplied controller do lithium as standard and also do AGM, GEL, WET and lead acid batteries. Note i didn’t use the supplied controller in the review though. I’m thinking of doing a follow up video of how it’s now going a year later after some big trips. Stay tuned.

    Im keen on getting a 200w to charge my bluetti ac180

    • @PerpetualTransient
      @PerpetualTransient  ปีที่แล้ว

      How does the Bluetti go? Are you Scott Boyd from down the surf coast? Kayak fisho? Think we fished in the yakhunters comps some time ago

  • @peterj5751

    Are you still getting strong output from this panel? I bought one but have sent it back because the best I can get out of it in ideal conditions is 145 watts so much underperforming yours. The other day in full sun I managed a disappointing 122w. I’d be interested if your is still producing over 200w consistently?

    • @PerpetualTransient
      @PerpetualTransient  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haven’t used it for a couple months now but the last time i did it hit 180-190 in patchy overcast (outperformed my rooftop 300w panels). I’ve heard mixed reviews, but mine has been great.

  • @brianmaclennan561
    @brianmaclennan561 ปีที่แล้ว

    So do you need the 300w panels to get 200w?

    • @PerpetualTransient
      @PerpetualTransient  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeh pretty tough to hit specified wattage on any panel, especially the solar blanket style. I hit 220-240w most days with this.

    • @gregbishop610

      @@PerpetualTransientmust be the only one a lot are only getting 140 ish watts

    Looks like its pumping in 19 amps at 13 volts, thats pretty impressive

    From what I've seen the 300 watt doesn't give out anywhere what some people say.

      I’m happy with mine, stayed consistent on a few big trips dragging it through the red centre

    Current going in to the battery is 19 amps

    • @andyirons7162
      @andyirons7162 ปีที่แล้ว

      damn....that's kind of impressive for a 300W panel....my current 300W panel (sunyee) does 110-120w in full sun....this things kills it for energy

  • @imaginein10yrs
    @imaginein10yrs ปีที่แล้ว

    how are you finding it after a couple of months?

    • @PerpetualTransient
      @PerpetualTransient  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I just cranked it last week again in the flinders ranges. Overcast and my caravan 300w panels were running at about 100w whilst this was punching out 220w consistently. I think with late arvo winter sun the angle of the legs meant it was getting much better facing than my roof. Can’t fault it if I’m honest.

    Brought the 300 watt solar blanket. It only puts out 145w.
    I Will never buy anything from a one store wonder. It’s too hard, to get the solar panel fixed. Will now have to buy an additional solar panel, to replace this useless itec one, will go to BCF.
    Itec, technical support, is pathetic, no customer care, skills.

    • @PerpetualTransient
      @PerpetualTransient  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve heard a few say they had panels with low outputs but itech seemed to be pretty good at swapping them over i thought. Mine is still going strong after a few rough and dusty trips.
