  • I take a tour of the Next Level Pinball Shop & Museum located in Hillsboro, OR outside of Portland. It's an amazing arcade with over 400 games and a TON of memorabilia.
Music by Ben Allen from the game: Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan.
    Soundtrack available here: greenflyingfis...

Damn you’re lucky I’d have to travel to another state just for anything remotely close

If I lived near this place I'd only leave when it closed. That for taking us on a tour.

Wow....next level is such an appropriate name. Absolutely mind blowing, I wish I had an arcade like this locally.

I appreciate the amount of work the owner(s) put into this place, a work of love no doubt. No Asteroids or Berzerk, but I have got to make it up there...

That place seems like a haven! I'll be checking it out Friday. A 2 hour drive for that will be well worth it.

Can I please live in this place forever!
The walls alone evoked so many
    memories that I would probably
    spent hours without even pressing
    any buttons... : )
Love the huge Turtles and Star Wars
    sections.
Thank you for the great video.
    Best regards.

This place is amazing. At first I couldn't tell what was on the wall and it just looked kinda junky and busy. But the fact that the walls are lined with all sorts of vintage collectables makes it even more mind blowingly awesome.

What a great setup for this arcade. Super impressive that they have that many games on the floor and all of them are functioning.

Thank you so much for making this! My best friend helps run Next Level and I’m currently recreating it in Halo Infinite’s forge, so this is perfect source material. I was trying to recreate from my head but it’s changed so much over the years. Hopefully it will be played on LAN at the arcade. 🙏🏻

If I ever find myself back on the West Coast, this is one of the places I want to go. I took a trip to the West Coast in 2018 (mostly in Washington state), but I want to explore Oregon a bit more.

Best pinball spot in the country. Hands down. There is no competition. All machines are some of the best copies I’ve ever laid hands on, and the memorabilia speaks for itself. Strong 💪

I wish I had an arcade nearby other than the multicade in my livingroom. I used to have multiple arcades in walking distance from me as a child. Now all I can walk to is pizza and fashion shops. I rarely leave the house because there's no where to go.

We live close by and visit often. In fact, that's us walking in at the very beginning of this video, and later in the video we are playing RUSH. My wife is wearing a green jacket with black stars on it, and I'm wearing a printed hoodie. Thanks for visiting!

It looked like quite a few of the classic arcade cabinets had had LCD screen replacements, which is sad to see. But at least they're there. In my area, Atlanta, places like this are non-existent as far as I know. If only there were enough Steve Nutters in the world to go around for all the CRT repair needs...

I didn`t see .................Space Firebird .......... I never see it ........... I owned a cocktail version that I bought cheap from a funfair in the mid 80`s .......... although I already like the game alot .......... and that`s why I bought it .......... sooooooooo underated and much better than most shoot em ups of that type back in the early 80s .............. folks like COinOps don`t even have it in their general collection but at least I have learnt how to alter their script and on a more basic level add game like this after finding the artwork etc

Thumbs up on the vid but completely disagree with you on a point Gamester.
It looks like there are A LOT of LCD's in the arcade machines. The rest of the place looks cool but that part bugs the hell out of me. Low rez games on high rez monitors look like garbage. For those of us who play(ed) them bitd, and even those that weren't playing them bitd, seeing how craptastic they look this way ruins the whole experience.
And before I get blasted, I know, CRT's are hard to maintain, I have 30+, I know. Hard but not impossible. Ask Doc Mack.
This dude has millions of $$ of displayed toys behind glass too look at, has modded the pins to death, but won't spend the money to get the classic arcade machines looking (and playing) right?
Disappointing to say the least. 🤷‍♂️
