  • Finding spring meals the whole family will love can sometimes be a challenge! Today I am going to bring you along as I cook throughout the day, feeding my family delicious spring meals from our scratch pantry.
Crepes were the order of the morning to assist in using up the extra egg abundance that spring is known for. Next we had a delicious salmon roll on a brioche bun, and then the family came together for chicken piccata, which was LOVED by all!

Oh my gosh, only now have i found your channel. I have five children, and just feel ay a loss about how to feed them
Really nutritiously while stretching our food budget as fas as possible - it sounds dramatic, but these videos are life changing for me! More infor about the meals you prep from all of your wonderful canning etc would be so incredibly helpful. Thank you so, so much for taking the time to do this.

I’m actually recording the last of my upload for this weekend now, and it’s items heading to the freezer to make life easier!
I really appreciate your comment. Often it’s easy to wonder if our life resonates with anyone, but you’ve confirmed that for sure!
      Have a blessed day! 💕

Next time you make crepes, try using your cast iron skillet flipped upside down. You can spread the batter thinner that way. Crepes are a favourite breakfast over here too.

Thank you! Nothing happens alone around here, so that's the only way I can create. I'm glad they're a welcome addition. Thanks for watching, and I hope to see you back soon!

My favorite meals of spring is my husband getting his grill on. He will make 3 proteins on the grill for us to have for the week. Yesterday , he did chicken, steak and country ribs. So I just have to make sides. He asked for asparagus and brussels sprouts for tonight. He said that he just really wanted a lot of veggies. If you knew my husband, you'd understand why I gave him this 😮 😂

That is awesome! Have you ever tried roasted cabbage in the oven? My entire family, including hubby, have requested that more than 1 head by roasted at a time now. Just slice it around 1/2 inch thick, pop it on a pan and drizzle some olive or avocado oil on top. Roast it at 425-450 for 20-25 min or until it's dark around the edges. The darkest part will be the most flavorful. It's AMAZING!
I also love it when the grill fires up, and the smoker too! So glad SPRING is here!
Thanks for watching, and I hope to see you back soon!

@thehometownhomestead haven't tried it. I've been trying to convince him to try it, but not so far. He'll get there eventually. He never used to eat asparagus and sprouts either

Love your videos! Thank you for sharing with us. Can I ask.... What do you feed your chickens to get those beautiful yokes? My chickens free range too, but our yokes are never like that.

This is an interesting conversation around here. Every time I give/sell a dozen eggs, the comment is always about the yolks or the hardness of the shells. I’ll link what we use. It ships from Chewy and is the best price I’ve found and at my house in 2 days. We buy 2 bags at a time on auto ship to get free shipping and make it a bit cheaper. This food smells so amazing!
