Good morning 🌅, Truly beautiful work, very interesting territorial, And I have done some wood carving, et cetera many years ago I made 14 chairs for one of university in Cambridge, And back in the late 70s early 80s I had a contract to make some bedroom furniture along the lines of Louis 15th style, where I made a very large headboard bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and two radiator casements, all out of Japanese oak, I still have somewhere between 150 to 200 wood carving chisels, and a lot of those are very old as I used to pick them up at auction rooms when they’re very cheap, Keep up the amazing work I think I’ll be following your journey to see what you make over the years, I am retired and now living in France,
Thank you Alison for this magnificent report, I appreciated when you talked about working by hand and not with electric tools, it's true we are closer to the material and the spirit.🌞🌞🌔
I am a Cabinetmaker who live,s off grid in Australia.I started carving many years ago first with a chainsaw now with chisel,s and finer tools.Love your work

Wendell Berry talks about human powered tools in one of his essays and how power tools force you to think and work at an industrial speed
This is beautiful, just wondering what part of the world you’re living in?
