Lets mainly keep bees in a way that is healthy to them (thick wall hive, leaving honey instead of replacing it with sugar, free swarming and free natural mating), natural selection can then do the rest (within 5 years), there will not be a (chemical) treatment that does not also hurt/stress the bees just like with varroa destructor
I agree-- I let my black native Irish bees swarm naturally and have minimal varroa problems. Lots of swarms - which I collect and sell, to encourage other beeminders to do the same and keep the Irish bee free from foreign invaders.
Thank you, for sharing. One question can they be exterminated/controlled by heat to a point that the bees can stand it but Veroa and Tropilaelaps can’t ????
Why don't the United States and Canada work together with Beekeepers instead of Against Us! Allow us to work with our fellow Beekeepers in Canada and vise versa, stop importing bees from over seas.
