Ever since their comeback win against Utah, the Sharks have been a legit top 16 team in the league. If you exclude empty net goals, they haven’t lost by more than 2 goals in that span, with an overall record of 10-6-3. Can’t believe how much better the team is since last year.

I’m a Wild fan and I think you’re getting ahead of yourself. On paper the Jets are one of, if not the, most balanced teams. They have insane depth throughout their lineup.
The NHL, and every pro sports league except the MLB (which is the most trash pay to win league) has so much parity it’s insane. Any team can win on any night. The Jets are just going through a rough stretch. They will be fine.

All they really need to do depending one what they do with Granlund is add defense. If they can sign two quality or maybe one upper level and one solid defensemen then I think they will be in contention for a playoff spot. Which is why I hope they resign Granlund or maybe both sides can get something like San Jose trades him gets assets yet Granlund just signs back with them in the offseason. I mean if they can somehow keep playing like they have been it's not out of the realm of possibility they could sneak into a WC spot. Yea chances are slim but right now only like 5 pts back sure they have played more games then those teams but since the 9 game losing streak they are 9-4-3 if they keep posting that type record the rest of the way it wouldn't be shocking to see them sneak in.

Very impressive performance on the road by the Blues tonight. They played very well defensively. They got some good poke checks that resulted in turnovers. Hofer had a very good performance in his hometown. Hofer did a very good job of controlling rebounds, whether covering the puck or moving the puck out of dangerous areas. Man ESPN and TNT have not been great this year, i'm super spoiled with the Kraken's KHN broadcasting team, but every now when there's a national game and i have to suffer through those commentators, it's rough. They really like to pick a team, or a singular player and just focus on them the entire time, and if the team they're not focused on is doing something, they'll go off on a lonnng yarn about some stupid story of a wedding they attended 30 years ago for 2 minutes until they get an opportunity to talk about their chosen team. Sorry guys, i know it's a tall order to match up to John Forslund and Edzo, but you guys can at least TRY to be partial.

pity he doesn't have a playable backup, to give him a rest once in a while. this year was primeau's big chance to show what he could do, whether he could challenge monty for top spot or forever be deemed a career backup. right now he might actually be the worst goalie in the league. problem is, he needs waivers to go down, and the habs are scared he'll be claimed. might be worth doing though, we can bring dobes up and give him a shot. if we need an AHL goalie to take his place, send dvorak to the flyers for petersen and a pick.
monty...is at least keeping this team relevant. he's actually an NHL goalie. he's still a stopgap though. fowler is still the future.

After three loses in a row (one to Anaheim, two to San Jose), Bylsma shook up the lines in a very creative way tonight against Carolina: he benches the underperforming Burakovsky, moved both Beniers and Gourde to the wings (instead of at center), and move Tanev up to the first line. While Daccord was good, this is one of the few wins this season where his performance wasn't the main reason.
IMHO, this game was a must win for us and the team stepped up. Now let's see what we can do against the Islanders, Devils, and Rangers on this road trip.

Rather build a winning culture then tank the rest of the year. Seeing countless franchises suck for years and stock pile picks only to guess what still not be any good like the Sabres and Sens. Blackhawks have had bad records for 7 seasons and this will be their 8th in a row and they look farther out from being a solid team then the Sharks do who just started rebuilding 2 years ago. So would rather see the young kids continue to learn how to win in the NHL and the team build a winning culture. Which can then transition into upper level FA seeing the Sharks playing good hockey already and want to play next to Celebrini and Smit. Right now all I see that they really need to have a shot at the playoffs next year is to add two legit top 2 pairing defensemen that they can pair next to Walman and Lilly. Which then they could slide down Mario and someone else to the 3rd pairing.

Yah another score of 4-1 for my Jets, except it went to the wrong team.. main thing I saw tonight is line combinations with new players mixed with older players, one of which played what was only his 2nd NHL game in his life. Lambert held his own for the most part, I thought but we are badly missing Ehlers and Samberg in the lineup. Our PP has dried up completely and we can't get proper scoring going. Hoping the next few games will right the good ship and get us back on the winning side, this is getting a bit painful to watch.
Having said that, we had Hockey fights cancer night tonight in Winnipeg so that always puts things into perspective... and to watch the ceremony from Calgary with the Gaudreau family puts it into perspective even more. We love our hockey but some things are more important... so I'm sending my thoughts and prayers for strength to Meredith and the entire Gaudreau family.
    Thank you, Shannon.

Jets, nope. Flames, yes. And Knights, yes. So, five out of ten. S Could have flipped a puck. Seemed to be a high amount of goalie interference challenges, most denied and penalized. The Avs comeback was amazing to watch. That sort of heart has playoff deep run potential, IMO. The low scoring of the Oilers-Knights game felt weird. Maybe the Kraken are better than they have been letting on. I was surprised by the amount of Pens scoring but they needed it to beat the champs.

I'm a Canes fan. Yes both bad calls but the Canes did not deserve to win that game! Rod put out crap line combo's and only made one adjustment. Since he switched KK and Drury the Canes are 1 and 4. The second line only has 1 5v5 goal. Not Drury's fault as he is the one who scored that one goal and should have been awarded the go ahead goal last night (BAD CALL) but he is NOT a 2C!!! He is a great defensive center. AKA 4th line center. KK creates the plays that end with Necas or Svech/Robinson scoring the goals. KK made two bad plays in one game all year and gets dropped to the 4th line. He then puts a defensive center at 2C. A line that needs to produce. He learned nothing from round 2 of the playoffs!

This winning streak will not continue with these blown leads and horrendous defense and goaltending. I can count on one hand how many games we didn’t let in 3+ goals. Over 100 GA is insane. Blomqvist needs to be in the nhl. He’s better and has a bigger upside than either Jarry and Ned by a large margin

Yea, obviously the pens are not a contender and the window is starting to close, but they owe it to Crosby to surround him with the best team possible, and if they don’t have the cap or draft capital to make any big outside moves, they still need to be honest with themselves and play the best players they currently have, and more than anything, continue playing the youth, and not focus solely on their contracts
