Seriously, I'm blown away by how quickly the subscriber count skyrocketed after my most recent animation- as of writing, it's more than quadrupled, just from that one video. And the comments were so incredibly kind, positive and supportive, for which I can only say thank you so much. Horatio and I will be saving all those letters, for many years to come. I look forward to making more animations soon, and I hope you will enjoy them.
If you're wondering why Horatio looks a little choppy, I animated him with just the core keyframes, instead of adding interpolation- basically, less work, and a choppier final effect. I would have spent a little more time on it, but I wanted to put it out soon to celebrate the occasion! Hope you don't mind...

Randomly found "a word from a bug" today and I gotta say, the voice and character are just sublime. I realize it's not intended to be a series and that each little 1.5 minute animation takes way longer than any of us non-animators care to guess, but goodness me, his little personality hit me right in the heart region. I'd love hearing more of that wholesomeness if you ever feel inclined to share it with us. Or just ramblings. Either one will do for me!

This bug is my uncle, and I love him and I would do unspeakable things on his behalf - that I wouldnt actually do because, well, I'm sure he'd sit me down and tell me that violence should never the go-to solution to any problem. And he'd be right.
This has been a profoundly awful day - what with my myriad health problems, just getting over either a cold / Covid, again, but also the terrifying news from the Supreme Court. It's the closest I've come to the pit of despair. But I see this little guy, and damn it, I smile again. For the first time today, I smiled. I needed this more than you realize.
