    It's one of my favorite mission of all C&C games. I really love how you get 3 MLRS which are very advanced artillery units only availlable to be built much later and a few other vehicles, but no ability to produce anything else than infantry. It forces you to preserve your assets and make the most of your limited ressources. And the late autumn early winter settings give it a nice atmosphere.

    Those NOD flamethrower boys...
    They only cost 200 bucks and do so much damage!!
    The combination of RPG soldiers and flamer boys is so hard to fight.

    -This might be one of my favorite GDI missions, for a good defense, put the tanks diagonal in front of the guard towers and the rocket artillery behind the tanks with a third diagonal behind those 2, you might lose 1 or 2 sandsacks, and they might damage your units, pay attention to them and you wont lose a single one.
    -Make 5 rockets, put those in an APC and destroy the sam sites with that.
    -Quickly use up all tiberium patches before the one top right, could help it out a bit by destroying it with an apc and a rocketeer. If you did it well you should have collected a good amount of cash, then park your harvester on the bridge, this makes it so their harvesters don't know what to do. Let them spend their cash, once emptied, get an apc with engineers, go with all your vehicles, attack and capture. Once done correctly you shouldn't have lost a single unit.

    You'll need 3 engineers, a mix of troops and the 2 APCs to take out the NOD base. Use 1 APC with 2 engineers (and some troops) to capture the Construction Yard and right most solo near the yard. You need to capture the correct silo to have room to build the NOD barracks next to the silo. Use the other APC and engineer (and some troops) to capture the NOD refinery. Build the NOD barracks inside the enemy base, set as primary and sell the NOD refinery, you'll get to keep a NOD harvester. I also built a turret next to my NOD barracks to defend it, then it was just a matter massing units inside the NOD base to take out the remaining enemy units and structures. You can use your remaining forces defending your base once you have good control of the map to help with the final mop up.

    Note: I did some research and found you only get the enemy harvester if you capture the refinery while the harvester is unloading, but it can happen on any map. I guess I got real lucky on this one, I didn't even noticed the harvester was unloading when I captured it!

    First, you need to heal your vehicules and set-up a good defense postion. When it's done, attack one of the harvester and the ennemy will retaliate with almost everything he has inside his base. After that, you need to get inside the NOD base with engineers, capture the Construction Yard and hold it (the hardest part of the mission). When it's done, capture or destroy every other buildings (unit production buldings first) and you should beat the mission without difficulties.

    This was a pretty tough mission, but I did manage to beat this by attrition.
    Basically I build enough rocketeers that I could hunt their Harvester easily. Then after holding against the enemy attack I put a clockade on their base entry. Tanks front missiles behind them. This meant that every time they tried to exit their base they were destroyed. Harvesters survived but that is why I had the rocketeers! Eventually AI ran out of money and I could waltz in.
    Now this was on normal mind you, and it took me longer than with your strategy.

    I really tried on slow speed, but with a "normal" approach to hold and build up it feels close to impossible. I've picked up the game just recently though (and can't remember too much significant from my childhood play).
    What I find really frustrating is the unit behavior (I've spend much time with aoe2). They scatter in unwanted ways unless I task them one by one to each tile. They react with a delay. They shoot seemingly at arbitrary distance, sometimes at max range, sometimes only when the enemy is much closer. When I target an enemy, many units don't stay at max range but move towards the enemy, which is frankly far from ideal, often resulting in dumb friendly fire.
    Makes me sad/frustrated, because I feel quite some nostalgia for the campaign missions

    I was stuck on this level for so many tries lol I kept pushing in destroying a couple buildings they push me back they rebuild and I got worn down until I lost, I didn’t even see where the construction yard was until I looked this video lol.

      I did it the hard way and killed all the harvesters and killed the enemy units over and over until all the tiberium silos were empty.
      I am still not used to engineers that don't need a non full health building to be taken over like in Red Alert.
      I remember C&C being hard.
      But the missions after the 4th are just hard.
      Don't let me get started on the stupid behaviour of self inflicting damage of the grenadiers...

      The attrition strategy is good for all the missions but it's very time consuming. The fastest way is always the engineer approach.

    OMG see at 10:52 the rocket launcher just wiped out a half of the grenadier stack for some reason 0_0

      Yeah, on hard mode, the AI damage level is insane

      @@THEZOD thank you for vids. I played only RA2 and siced to play the remaster. The game is so difficult on hard even with tour vids. With out them it would be impossible.

    Guessing you're stuck on 8B? (I have always thought that was way worse than 8A and see you haven't put any new videos up since that yesterday...) Anyway I'm up to that one also, you pretty much have to use sandbagging on the civilian village ASAP I believe.

    I can't say Russia didn't originally react in self defense they definitely where being taken advantage of by the rest of the international community

    The lack of foreign support during a famine is not enough reason to kill civilians of other countries but still the international community betrayed them and took advantage of Prussia oil reserves that's why they blew up the oil pipeline going to Europe they refused to send food and forced Russia into turmoil and war
