DIY is painful enough - without this video!
I installed this today on my own and took about 30 minutes and I am no builder. The loft door was already there so it was a case of replace new for old ladder. The video was very very helpful and I would recommend these ladders.
I cannot believe a manufacturer put this out
Great video, shows exactly how to set up and install these ladders , very pleased with mine, fitted in realistic time, comes with everything you need to install, packed well, would recommend , although I did have to make a new loft hatch opening, due to mine being the push up type,
Thanks. Really helpful video 👍🏼
great video. The instructions are really bad, I couldn't install it without this video. Ok, it has no sound, but who cares? job done!!
Why is there no talking through this
I managed with the help of the video to install the ladders, but when i get up the ladders to loft, I have to clime over the two further steps and the pivot arm to get into my loft, its not suitable if you are not able to step to the side to avoid this issue. check the video when he is attaching the pivot arm, to see how much of the ladders is sticking up into the loft.
You say it best...when you say nothing at all.
This ladder should NOT be fitted in chipboard, but that's what you seem to have done in this video!!
I guess could always just fit sheets of ply around ladder if chipboard loft.
If I could work out how to install mine, I'd post a video clip with sound. This is almost as bad as the written instructions!
I would love to see what the pivot arm does when it folds up in the loft, I could not get the pivot arm to do what it's supposed to for love nor money, and mine looked exactly as per the video, it just seems to stop the ladder moving at all? Help :)
Rob Raven yep same here. Pivot arm has bent three times. Ladder very hard to stow away.
Same here . Will only stow away without pivot arm. Then the dam thing is very unstable making it impossible to push up into the loft using the metal rod as it simply twists sideways and seizes up. Very poor design
Mine bent like a banana and I ended up ditching it, and works fine without. Instructions for fitting are a disgrace!!! 😂
The monsters can get out the loft now. Gggrrr!
Final demo operation, pivot arm was not connected.
Written instructions with these ladders are appalling.
Which is the smallest for height clearance in the loft,a 2 piece or 3 piece because where my loft hatch is,it’s a bit low up there
This is a video of how not to install an Easiway loft ladder.
This is the most ridiculously inept attempt at an instructional video I have ever seen. Painful
when the video first played I thought this guy was a burglar with his dark clothing and gloves ;-)
NO sound!
Please recommend a decent loft.
so its screwed into the air gap between chipboard and timber then oooohhh for 5p longer bit plastic lol
Would you buy that ladder from Youngman's..............No!! Big company with a tiny tiny budget for what should be their shop window.
can this ladder be installed whith out the dropdown hatch we have to lift our hatch door out.?
In a word no.
Needs sound
How much
where is the sound??
Terrible ladder, awful instructions. Feels flimsy and bends alarmingly when used.
Rubbish.
