  • SCANDAL: F1 Drivers FURIOUS AT FIA Over Biased Rules!
It seems like there's a storm brewing in the F1 paddock as drivers express their frustration and anger towards the FIA over what they perceive as biased rules. Imagine your favorite drivers, furious at the sport's governing body for playing favorites and bending the rules. It's got everyone talking, and tensions are running high.
So, let's dive into this video today to know what's got the drivers so fired up and whether the FIA will address these concerns.
Kevin Magnussen faced a challenging time during the Miami GP, accumulating a staggering 35 seconds in penalties over just 19 laps. His aggressive driving style puts him at risk of a race ban and raises broader questions about the state of racing regulations.
A concerning trend emerges - will drivers prioritize their own race performance over their teammates'? This dilemma could become more prevalent if regulations remain unchanged. The question then becomes whether sacrificing individual performance for the team's benefit is ethical or necessary.
The FIA faces a daunting task in preventing such behavior. While accumulating penalty points is one method, it may not be enough. Effective regulation is paramount to maintaining fairness and safety on the track.

A drive through penalty would have solved this situation immediately...

Sorry to say but what a load of BS...let them race it's not a beauty pageant...if the stewards are so on it why not get him in for a drive-thru?? or a stop-and-go...racing is racing or why now didn't we see a driver go so far of the track to push another driver off the track and his severe punishment was getting the world title ?? Common in the old days the drivers handled it on the track themselves... but no one has the cojones to do that anymore....

Totally agree. F1 is turning into a sissy sport, where good racing is penalized. We end up with a situation where pit strategy and tire choice is determining the race outcome. I thing Magnussen defended good and hard, and it was really fun to watch. Look at older F1 clips and see all how hard and good they raced. Look at the Alonso incident recently also, If Russel hadn't jumped in his seat and gone off, there would have been no case. Magnussen and Alonso bring good racing craft to the sport

Agreed, but then by this argument, they need to be able to overtake off track as well, if a driver is allowed to push another driver off.
It's not about the regulations, but more about the lack of instant punishment for breaking the regulations.

When was the last time you were on an expressway in morning traffic all going 200 mph? Think you might want some rules? It's not a free for all on the track.

It has beyond doubt become an increasing problem with the FIA messing things up. Their inconsistent rulings have become applauding in recent times. All teams should collectively stand up in protest against FIA's current ruling trend. They've become pathetically lame and damaging to the sport, to say the least.

Nothing KMag did was that bad.. I mean, OK so the elbows were out, and than tensions got a little high and he dove in on Lewis the second go around and that was pretty.. well it was a mirror of Lewis in some races, minus leaving the track, however similar outcome.. so that's all racing incident for me.. the Sargeant thing though, that was rough. Kmag should not have let that one happen.. I love KMag, but when I want to watch hockey and football, I do.. when I want to watch F1, which is every race, I want to see some respect out there.. and she's lackin..

There is a big fat elephant in the room. When the points system was developed, there were only 20 races per year max. The chances of accumulating 12 points increases exponentially over the season.

    • @nenaddimi8319
      @nenaddimi8319 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

20 or 200 doesnt change the fact that you cant drive the way Magnussen drove. If you dont want 12 points on your license dont drive like a D.

@@nenaddimi8319 I'm not saying anybody can drive like a D. I'm saying the system needs revised. If you can't understand that then you obviously haven't been paying attention. The number of races have steadily increased over the past two years. That adds to the risk of amassing too many points in the same year when you consider that only 4 years ago there were only 18 races as opposed to 24.

Don't see where the headline of bias is relevant here, just what to do about the sort of tactics Magnusson used. I am sure I do see bias at times in F1, there are a couple of drivers who appear to be favourites and get away with way more which extends into F1 coverage and commentary not just decisions from stewards because of their promotional and marketing value.

You would have to go back some 25 years when race bans was used. This lot would throw a fit if they raced then.

Magnussen didnt do anything that all the other drivers havent done previously. Other drivers dont get penelties for the same drivning. Stewards inconsistensy is the problem.

Magnussen admitted himself that his driving was not correct, so the penalties would hardly seem contentious, he hasn't yet been banned but if he were to continue his action at future events a ban would seem to be the right. Hamilton may have been sanguine about Magnussen's behaviour, I can't see that too many other drivers would have felt the same.
Alonso is a divisive voice, his anti-Spanish bias is in his head and there is little evidence to support his view. Alonso claims F1 has a British bias when the most disadvantage person in recent times has been against Hamilton in Abu Dhabi where the Australian Michael Masi change the rules to gift the race to Verstappen, has any Spanish driver been subject to such bias and injustice in the history of the sport?

Times penalties are the problem. He isn't losing track position and by backing up the pack the team benefits, therefore no incentive to serve the punishment under race conditions. If they are serious about stamping out this behaviour, then a visit to the pits is in order.

Why not add minus points for consecutive infringements? This would immediately remove any team and/or individual gains from this unsportsmanlike behavior. Magnussen can defend, but only within the rules… His team can no longer benefit from consecutive infringements and therefore will remind his driver not to continue them, as it would nullify the potential gain from his behavior. End of discussion, and people can continue to battle, within the rules of engagement.

Simple solution to bad sportsmanship. Drive through penalty. To be taken within 3 laps of the instruction. If not taken, black flag and a ban from the next race.

There's an easy fix. Get rid of the FIA as F1's regulator and create their own that's comprised if the teams, drivers, Liberty, and any one, or group deemed necessary by the afore members named. The FIA is obliged to no one except themselves. That's the problem. They act like feudal monarchs and dispense favours or penalties at the whim of the moment.

Deliberately restricting another driver from overtaking is unfair on the driver behind. It is dangerous and could have disastrous consequences. The fact that it was being done so that his team mate can stay ahead is cheating. In the future a car could pit and come back onto the track and play a big part in manipulating a result. It should be 3strikes and black flagged for that race and serve at least one race ban. Repeat offenders would face increased bans. The sport has become dirty and needs cleaning up. On both sides, on track, off track and most importantly the organisers. Bring Andretti on, I’d be keen to support them. Get rid of sprint races. They are a joke.

It’s against the rules which means it’s illegal and should be punished severely. End of. I don’t understand the drivers sympathy for Magnussen. As such they are condoning illegal behaviour. I agree with Stella who is a respected figure in the sport and also demands more severe consequences to such actions.
