VW and Audi diesel EGR problems and why they fail.

Got a VAG group diesel that's got got a fault light on the dash or in limp mode? If its the EGR valve, chances are it's this problem. Same engine in Audi, VW, Skoda and Seat. 1.6 and 2.0L turbo diesel with a water cooled EGR. In the case of Audi, there isn't enough space to remove the DPF unfortunately so it's a workaround job. Extend the life of the valve by occasional throttle abuse to blow it out.
