Thank you! And yes, most Bobst gluers, and gluers from manufacturers who copy Bobst's design, can be set up very similarly.

Hi can you explain the setup of the side line correction immediately from the feeder.how you can get all boxes paralel in to othe machine is this system working on corrugated e flute?

The register section is something I'll try to cover when I do a requested video about feed basics very soon.

Hello, when converting straight line gluing, do you prefer the wheelpot or the extrusion? What if you were teaching a new operator/adjuster?

That is a GREAT question! If it is a normal straight-line, I will use the pot every time because you get consistency and speed. If you use extrusion (glue gun) there is always a chance of it skipping out, whether it is from a cable connection coming loose or the gun tip getting a piece of trash stuck in it. Even if you are using glue detection, it still might be somethingyou have to deal with. It's a pain in the butt to clean the pot, but it's far better than worrying about missing glue lol! Thanks for watching the video! Enjoy your weekend.

@@Oakhart76 Thank you. Allow me a follow up question, from you experience are the wheel pots on the newer Bobst, Nova, Vision, Expert and Masterfold better designed then on older Bobst such as Alpina, or Jagenbergs, Posts and Internationals? A regular comment I hear, is that the wheel pots leak and sling a lot but think this applies to the older gluers and not the newer Bobst, Heidelberg, Signatures or DGM's. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

@@luxspora1072 I think the biggest problems with slinging glue at very high speeds is 2-fold. 1st is how close the scraper sits to the sides of the wheel and 2nd, how much glue you allow to sit in the pot. As far as the AMOUNT of glue that sits in the pot, you adjust that with the height adjustment block on the neck of the glue bottle. If it allows the opening of the bottle neck to sit too high, you will have a LOT of glue in the pot, which means a lot of the wheel will be sitting in the glue. If you have a lot of glue on the wheel, that is a lot of glue that the scraper has to deal with. If half of the wheel is grabbing glue, you will sling glue ALL OVER the machine... learned that the hard way lol. The machine you see in my videos suffers from the 1st issue I mentioned above... There have been many "would-be" operators who worked on that gluer long before I started working with it and they didn't know what they were doing. A lot of things were treated roughly and that includes the glue pot scraper. It had been taken apart to be cleaned and put back on crooked. As a result, the brass scraper has been worn down on the parts that hug the sides of the wheel. If I allow more than 1/2" of the wheel to be dipped into the glue and then run higher than about 375 meters/minute, I'll be slinging glue from here all the way to your house! That machine is a 2009 Expert Fold but I am confident that if I get a new scraper and watch the glue level, it will have no problem running balls-out. But that theory has yet to be tested. Hope that helps.

@@Oakhart76 Yes it does and thank you. What would be your preferred setting for the wheel to dip the glue? My European friends claim they are running line speeds of 500 and 600 meters/minute.

@@luxspora1072 You kinda have to play it by ear so to speak... depends on your specific machine. Just keep in mind, the lower you keep the glue level, the less time you have to react if the bottle runs dry and you have to fill it back up before the glue gets too low in the pot.
