Good luck with this one Chris. The look on your face when you pulled the led strip from the speaker panel was priceless! I can't wait to see you work on an em. I don't think I've ever seen you tackle one before. Take care ✌️
That speaker panel take-down. Your expression went from bewilderment to full-power "what the f*ck is _this_ sh*t?!" The silver dome thing in the topper is called a Dalek. The Daleks are Dr. Who's most lethal enemy. Coincidentally, this Dr. Who game looks like it's been attacked by the Daleks.
Your initial assessment of games are great. Your comments and humor on what you see is funny. I imagine you could write a book. Looks like a routed game with all the hacks and mismatched hardware crap. Typical operator approach to keep it earning. I understand a lot of games are not suited for mirror blades because of very tight fit and little clearance. But I think some games look very good with them to hide the ugly grainy cabinets like Stern uses now. Art blades are not great either. They typically are kind of boring and dull. At least mirror blades reflect light, and are dynamic as they reflect ball movement and Playfield light changes.
Thanks. I actually like the concept of mirror blades a lot but the clearance on some games mostly the ones with one way gates or other parts that drag the sides like mini playfield brackets(TZ)iare really hard to deal with *if* someone thinks these should not or could not possibly get scratched. That’s my main issue with them. You have to be realistic with them and accept the trade offs.
I used to look out for these on eBay going back over the past 20 odd years... You used to be able to pick them up for about $2k - $4k Australian... But I haven't seen one now for a few years. Guess they're all disappearing.
Yeah not so much my intention but I have to evaluate what I am working with. I think people should just do the best the can and have fun if they are doing it for themselves.
Looking forward to seeing your repairs.
"Buy a neon sign" lol. That's an awesome line!
These come to me naturally 😀
I'll be looking forward to this since I have one!

Thanks Bob.
I love the element of surprise opening these games up.
I don’t think I would be very good at poker unfortunately.
This is going to be another interesting one, for sure!
Definitely. I can’t get over some of these games that people have already worked through lately.
Let the fun begin. 👀

Thanks. I am sure the people that make all this junk are going to love me!

Lmao Lip stick on the pig! Hope your doing well Chris! 🍻🍻🍻
Doing great Scott. Hope you are as well.

Well.. some guy got roasted. I'm definitely low end pins when it comes to restoring. But it's nice to see what the benchmark is.

Shame they didn't do this theme around 94 instead. Could have been great.
I think my older brother(much older) used to watch the original series this is based off of .I thought it was weird then and not much has changed 😂
