Hi Sir, I would agree with you that TATA Nano was one of the cheapest car in India being offered at just ₹100,000.
Its repairing and maintenance costs was low. However i would say the major reason it failed apart from the political disturbance was the psychological factor. The car was introduced in Indian market as "A car for middle income family", which however made people think it was "a car for poor". So people resisted buying it as it gave an image of inability of a family to buy a car thus opting to buy "a car for poor" however the idea with which Mr. Ratan Tata came up with Nano was nice and creative
