  • I highly recommend going to one of your local stores of any type that carries a couch that states the cushions are filled with high density foam. if they feel more firm then you would expect then yes these are the same types of cushions. I was kind of a little shocked when I sat on them. people warn me in the reviews but of course just like everyone else I thought they were a little bit embellishing or sensitive. nope! these are very very firm and they feel like a commercial grade density that you would expect to find in a building that has a lot of people sitting on the couches. I think they're going to last a very very long time however is that what you want or do you want something that's comfortable actually sit on. The seat material is also very slippery. sounds like a strange comment however when you're sitting on them with your feet out on the ottoman there's a tendency to start sliding forward putting the arch of your back in a pretty poor posture. We decided to just utilize our old coffee table instead of the ottoman so we can put our feet on the edge and have it kind of brace us where we want to be seated. and don't get me wrong, it does look like a very high quality sectional. I have zero issues with the look and finish of this sectional. We used to eat most of our meals in the living room watching TV since it is just my wife and I but now we have started eating at the table because it's just not comfortable to eat on this one. maybe that's a good thing?

Update... I am slowly getting used to this couch and spending a little bit more time in the living room week after week. Definitely having a short pillow in the small of your back and the ottoman under your legs makes it much more comfortable. It is holding up extremely well And of course looks like the day we bought it. Again, we have no pets or children though

Hi still firm? I just ordered sofa and loveseat for $2500. Costco doesn’t brown only grey. Thanks

Yes, still looks like the day we bought it. Quite firm but getting used to it. We keep some small decorative throw pillows on it that work pretty good to take the kink out of your lower back when you want to lay back in it and chill a little bit rather than a formal upright seating

Sorry I missed this about a month ago. We paid around $3,200 delivered from Costco during one of their sales.

What did you decide to do? If you returned it, was that process easy? Was considering the Abbyson Harrison leather couch from Costco, which seems to be near the top of the list when I sort by highest rating, but has some of the same complaints you mention here. Also coming from a cloth sofa that is showing its age but was super comfortable. Hate the idea of ordering furniture sight unseen but the return policy is giving me some peace of mind.

I'm really sorry it took me so long to get back to you. It's hard for me to revisit comments because I just don't do TH-cam full time. I'm sure you can tell by my lack of editing lol. We did decide to keep it. Please read my comment to the person above yours which explains a lot more detail. As far as returning goes, we have purchased outdoor patio furniture from Costco.com in the past. Do not even hesitate to order from them if returning the item is a concern of yours. Our patio furniture, admittedly embarrassingly, was 4 years old. However, it was wicker or fake wicker and the first mild Texas winter that we had the wicker blew apart all over the furniture and was just sticking out all over the place broken. I was lazy about it and just decided not to return it at first. Then we decided to move to another state and it was such disappointing furniture I didn't want to take it with us. I decided to give Costco a call at the 1-800 number for online services and it was absolutely zero problem returning it even four years later. Costco really does stand by their return policy. They contracted a third party to come pick it up on a flatbed trailer. The contractor took pictures of it on the flatbed trailer after they picked it up from me, had me sign a receipt, gave me a copy and then was getting ready to leave when I asked him... What are you guys going to do with this furniture? He said to be honest, as soon as we get back we are going to throw it in a dumpster. This is not to say that they do that with everything that they pick up on return of course. Ours was just really bad looking from that split wicker. The cushions were immaculate though. I will never hesitate to buy anything from costco.com that is covered by the return policy because it took zero effort for me to return it to them other than being there at the time and date of the appointment for them to pick it up.

Starting to consider returning this. It is a beautiful couch BUT WOW it isn't comfortable at all for just chillin on watching TV. EDIT 3 months later....I still do NOT like the comfort factor. It is too hard. We are going to keep it but I don't like sitting on it personally. Looks great though FWIW.

@@JJ-qi7pyWe do not have any dogs so we don't have to worry about the leather being scratched fortunately. It is also just my wife and I so we don't have to worry about kids dragging anything across them or doing damage which I'm sure is what your question is in regards to. My wife, my mother, my mother-in-law and many other people really like it. They like how firm it is to support their back when they are sitting on it when they come visit. I am starting to get used to it a little bit and have figured out little workarounds like putting a very short wide accent pillow behind my back to allow me to sort of lounge a little bit more when we are out there. I still stand by my ruling that it is way too firm but that being said I believe it is designed to be so because it is a formal piece not a lounging piece. We are definitely keeping it. All these months later I finally cut the tags off of it :-) We do use it every single day and it still has zero marks on it at all. I added some round felt furniture foot slide discs that you normally would use to scoot furniture on a wood floor without marking it... Installed those on the back of the couch where it contacts the wall so that we do not end up with any abrasions on the rear of the leather or marks on the textured wall. You definitely need to have some type of wall standoff type device or something like what I did to keep it from marking the wall. It does not slide around at all with the legs being stationed on a rug like we have.
