These treats are exactly what I'm looking for. I need to make enough holiday treats for my daughter's co-workers - 30 in all. Eek! I've been looking for something unique and easy that I can just stuff into some plastic bags and these are it! Thank you so much for sharing.
I’m so glad! Another easy one is placing a Hershey kiss or Rolo on top of a mini square pretzel, bake at 300* for 2 or 3 minutes to soften, then top with an m&m. Merry Christmas!
Thank you for the inspiration.I woke up a bit after 400am this morning and decided to watch a bit of You Tube and clicked on your video.Your video gave me hunger pains. So I went to the kitchen and cut some Hvarti cheese and put on ritz crackers and broiled them a bit. They were delicious. I have a good friend who turned me onto Havrti cheese melted over Wasa crackers (Wasa crackers are a Swedish crispbread). I didn't currently have any Wasa crackers so the ritz were a great alternate! Love inspiration for my "midnight snacks"!
When you use that cinnamon bun spread, add either a little powdered sugar or my favorite is to add marshmallow fluff to that cinnamon bun spread and then it will hold up better when you get ready to dip. I also prefer adding marshmallow fluff to my peanut butter and mix well and then put it on the crackers and dip. Gives it a smoother and more satisfying texture and flavor. If you do not use the melting wafers, add a tiny bit of coconut oil or paraffin wax to chocolate chips (or whatever kind of chocolate), and then the chocolate will set up better and have a glossier finish on your dipped items. Women have been using paraffin wax while cooking for hundreds of years it does not have a taste it just makes some things better so don't be afraid of it using a double boiler to melt your chocolate works much better because then the chocolate stays smooth and spreadable and you do not have to microwave it anymore.
I have a question...could you put the peanut butter ones in the freezer for a few minutes to harden a bit then dip so it doesn't peanut butter doesn't melt??? Would it soften the ritz cracker?
Hi! I haven’t tried freezing them, but I think that’s a great idea. I do not think it would affect the Ritz cracker. Please report back if you test it out! 😊
