In the light novel, Cocytus actually considered deactivating all his skills so the last attack would hit and leave a scar because he was so impressed. But he decided not to since Ainz was watching and he didn’t want to seem weak to Ainz (it’s also why he never told Ainz that he wanted the Lizardmen spared solely because he liked them as warriors). Spoilers: In the kingdom destruction arc, he treated Brain in a similar way. He took out his god slaying emperor blade and assumed a proper stance when Brain challenged him, even telling him his name after Brain introduced himself (unlike Shalltear). He also gave Brain the cleanest death he possibly could without damaging his katana or doing too much damage to his body since he thought that was disrespectful. He even took his katana despite there being nothing special about it and deliberately took a detour since he knew Brain was protecting something (some kids who were escaping while Brain slowed Cocytus down) so that Brain’s final act wasn’t in vain even though he was defeated.
I though Brain had Gazef sword Razor sharp Razor sword or whatever they called, since after Gazef passed away they gave it to Brain as a gift for surviving the massacre and becoming Golden Princess guard

Spoilers: After the king dies and Climb enters the throne room as the last human alive in the entire kingdom (except Renner, the princess) Ainz gave Razor's Edge to him so they can have a proper duel. Climb of course dies, and the sword went to Ainz, who still has it. Also it was mentioned that Razor's Edge was unique in that despite being a rather low tier item, it can actually harm Ainz but another possibility is that the sword might be able to destroy world items as when Climb attacked the orb in Ainz's chest (which is his world item) assuming it was his weak point, Ainz stopped it and considered if it actually could damage or break it, something he was going to test out with a different world item when he got the chance. Ainz had already analyzed the sword enough to know more about it than even Gazef or the kingdom (who had it for centuries yet it took Ainz a single glance to understand its potential) and if even he considers that a possibility it might be true, getting visibly excited as if it can damage or destroy a world item, its value would skyrocket which is very appealing to a collector like him.

World items from what I remember are indestructible outside the 20, which are destroyed automatically after being used (though I believe after some time the devs respawn it or something). The Slane Theocracy managed to recover theirs (the mind control dress) despite Shalltear's attack piercing it and she's a level 100 npc designed for combat. Depiction of nature and society is unique amongst world items because unlike the others, all you need to do is escape it to get ownership of it. It's not really weak, it's just really easy to get if you're prepared for it and bait the enemy into using it. Also that's just a speculation on my part. Razor's Edge might not be able to destroy world items but Ainz seems pretty convinced that it's a possibility.

It had no strategic value, it did not improve his attack or serve any other meaning then simply a matter of honor. He willingly "retreated" a single step for the Lizardmen who had fought so hard and sprang such a great strategy against him. (Zaryasu used his own blood to cover Frost pain, so it would be slippery. Hoping Cocyutus would grab it again and not be able to keep his grip due to the slippery blood) Its a small detail I would never have noticed just watching the anime alone without reading the novel.
Ains is like the eso class necromencer. He does some terrible things but all his 'quests' ends up being possitive. He kills without hesitation, he tortures, he has an intresting mercy mentality but he saves people, saves villeges, resurrect loved ones and keeps loved ones. Litteraly ying yang sort of thing
