First, I'll say great vid! It's nice to have someone give an idea of pull rates. In my opinion, this set has way too many cards to expect value pulls for what you pay. With 500 total cards in the Series1 set, with almost 3 variations for every card, the high value pull rate is a joke (and that's only series one!). I opened four boxes and literally got the same value in hits as you did. Not to mention the horrible cuts on the majority of cards, with scratched surfaces, dented edges and dinged up corners (print quality has got worse with Upper Deck). Upper Deck is still the best IMO, but this set is WAY too big to expect any bang for your buck.
I feel Upper Deck really stopped trying to innovate their flagship inserts, or across all lines, for that matter. They just seem cheap and unenthusiastic. Topps and Panini have fun sets that you want to collect and UD just recycles the same stuff year over year. It's really made collecting hockey very difficult to enjoy aside from a few players and PCs I have
I think Topps' flagship (S1/S2) is relatively on par with UD S1/S2 for nice looking cards (there are some very, uh, not nice inserts in both over the past few years), but yeah I'd like to see them push the envelope a little more. The Young Guns Renewed, Holotypes, and Crossed Up (easter egg insert) are a great example of some of the really cool ideas they come up with and I wish they explored that creative side a little more with these. I think the Gaming set is what really breaks the feeling in 24-25 S1 as it does feel like it belongs in MVP not flagship.
