This was our main focus while planning our trip to South Dakota but we saw so much more that wasn't to far away from here that we really enjoyed. Wouldn't mind going back again soon..

Wow what a marvellous place Chris..It is an absolutely stunning place to see.. It is a worthy tribute to 4 great US presidents..It really looks spectacular in the nights and you have filmed very well right throughout the film.. Wonderful music too.... Lovely captures and thanks for sharing with us...A pleasure to see your videos always.. Wish you peace , joy & happiness always.
That is amazing to view what is being done from the mountain! You've done a fantastic job to film it at a slow walking pace! I felt that I was walking myself and have seen it first hand. Thank you, Chris for sharing it. This is wonderful experience and it is like touching history from the different perspectives - as our presidents and the sculptors of the monument and also the time, when it was done was historic in itself. Great job!

I have seen it before on tv and pictures but you don't get that feeling unless your there in person. For me, it was hard to take my eyes off the memorial and I kept looking back all the way out to see it again and again. Thanks for stopping by :-)
Impressive scenes , a good compilation ! I´ve only seen pictures of Mount Rushmore so far. But that was nothing compared to this video. It almost is like being there in person. Thanks for sharing.

@seahue Your right Seaue... This whole place was very very clean! I did not notice anything on the ground anywhere and did not see anyone walking around picking things up either. I think it is more respect on peoples part that keeps this Memorial clean all around and that is good to see :-) Mount Rushmore is quite a bit different in person than seeing it on film. Like you said you can't get the feeling as to how big it really is, especially when your driving up to it.. Thanks for your comment!
@Grandpa2one Thanks for stopping by and for your comments! Give your Nikon a try for HD video... it's worth a shot and may save you money in the long run. My camcorder shoots still photos and they are ok at only 4 Mega Pixels so I throw some in my videos here and there.

@nibornna Well you can drive by Mount Rushmore from many directions and see it for free and there is also small places you can stop and take pictures and things while viewing it from the road area. If you want to get as close as the video here though you have to pay to get in. I think it was only $11 for a car and you can come and go as much as you want within a week I think it was.

Wow! I'm so jealous! It all looks so perfect and clean...almost like you are in a hollywood movie studio filming a replica....I read that this is one of those places one must see for themselves...that cameras can't capture the grand scale of it all:D Thanks for the info...I hope to visit in the near future:))
@kycruisecrazy Glad you enjoyed :-) I used a Sony HDR-CX100 Camcorder to shoot everything, even the still shots you see mixed in here. It's agreat little camcorder I can just hold in my hand.
