welp, after I saw how they butchered Maria character. it's actually worrying. If they can't properly treat source material and change it into "generic western modern horror" trope, then nah, thanks, I'll pass.
Dead Space is very similar. It was also a series that was screwed over by the publisher and put on ice for years. When the remake was released Spherehunter was all praise, but Silent Hill's return is just met with negativity.
It wasn’t that bad of a movie, I thought it was better than the other movies lol. Would had been better had it been two movies or just been 3 hours, too much to fit in just 90 mins
Alan wake 2 was extremely bad and boring too, but... I'm sorry to burst your bubble but SH2 remake is not good at all. the original was an experimental masterpiece of cinematographied attempt at japanese horror, this lacks everything about it, the game was made to tell a story, not to have top of the line action gameplay. It's all wrong from every angle, from the voice acting to the down to earth representation of the town and especially the third person camera view angle with over the top action that destroys the ambiance and the mood and the fear as you can easily see everything from afar. This is pure remake culture slop supported by normie without taste and without experience of what is finesse nor subtlety. So other games are in reality terrible 2 to 3/10 games and when a mediocre attempt that is close to a 5/10 comes out everybody claps like mentally challenged seals these days, you have no standards.
@@Pelayum We'll wait and see if she stick with that. Despite liking Suzi, there's no denying she has a bias towards Resident Evil. And I think she would gladly review a Code Veronica Remake. Honestly, Resident Evil is to blame for the current trend of remaking games. God I hate that mediocre series so much. Sorry for the rant.
@thedarktyrant i think ops point was that her excuse is stupid since Konami clearly isn't relying on remakes. If anyone's doing that it's her beloved resident evil series
@@dyingwaffle95 She didn’t say that Silent Hill is relying on remakes. Literally all she was saying was that she was bored with constant remakes and everyone freaked out about that.
I'm in the same boat as you man. I love Suzi's content, she's one of the best horror content creators imo. But at the same time, her take on this whole situation was so mishandled. She could've easily been like "Silent Hill 2 Remake isn't something I'm interested in", but instead goes on a whole mini rant about remakes and remasters.
Og silent hill gameplay isn’t garbage. Its just dated, but every now and then still has its charm. But its I’m so excited for this remake to see silent hill in modern graphics
Level design on the other hand was bad even for the time. Not game-breaking or immersion shattering, but I never want to run up against a broken door again.
She seems to have beef with Akira Yamaoaka? Complete speculation here, but his music was used in a really crappy game Stray Souls. The devs for that game had a bunch of controversy for being transphobic. The way she disrespected Yamaoka seemed kind of personal.
RE4 and Dead Space are over 2 years old at this point, and even then, she said she was burnt out on the influx of remakes and Remasters being released. She doesn't like the artistic direction Silent Hill is going, and that's a pretty wide consensus. She also stated she won't be anymore reviews on remakes, including Resident Evil and Metal Gear. You can hold her to that if you want
I think her take can be due to her Capcom relations. Silent Hill and Konami in general are considered direct competitors to Capcom, and the revival of the Silent Hill franchise is definitely something that Capcom is not really happy with. Who knows, maybe covering Silent Hill and giving Konami free marketing is a conflict of interest in her job with Capcom. Making deals with gaming companies as a TH-camr basically means giving up your soul and standards.
KONAMI doesn't stands nowhere near CAPCOM. Where KONAMI is typical greedy corp which doesn't care at all about it's IP, all that matter is $$$$ CAPCOM actually respects what it has, and if fans don't like or hate on smth -> like passing beloved DMC to some western, lame developer, they actually listened and gave us DMC4:SE and then DMC5. Same goes for RE. After terrible 6, they actually listened to fans and made good 7. It would be dreams come true if KONAMI simply sold SH to CAPCOM lol
@@lxdead5585 That's not the point. Both companies don't care about these comparisons. They just care about the dollar and how they can get it from the other. Yes, Konami definitely doesn't have a good history with treating their games, but they still own some of the most iconic franchises out there, and they're planning a comeback with Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid. I personally made videos highlighting Konami's mishandling of the Silent Hill franchise, but regardless of what we think about them, they're a competitor in the market, and believe it or not, Konami financially has a higher market value than Capcom.
Very well could be. it kinda reminds me of the PS Vs xbox fan boys “beef”. if that’s the case and having a grudge against another horror franchise because there the main competitors to RE Is very pity.
While I don’t agree, I would find her take valid… that is if she didn’t already buy, play, and praise every one of the four RE remakes already. Instead of just saying that she prefers RE and doesn’t care for SH (which there’s nothing wrong with that) she instead chooses to be a toxic hater for no reason. Suzi needs to grow up.
She also stated to not expect her to cover anymore RE or Metal Gear Remake, two of her favorite franchises. She also loves Silent Hill, just doesn't like the direction they 2 Remake is going (which is fair) During her RE4 Remake review, she said she was burnt out of remakes and remasters, and that was over two years ago
@@Pelayum Ah right. Burnt out by remakes and remasters over two years ago and still covering Dead Rising Deluxe Remasters and excited for Soul Reaver remasters. What a load of hypocritical bs. lmao
@@zeroskaterz92 The video on her saying she is mixed on the Remaster? Damn God forbid she look forward to playing a game she likely won't be covering in a video. People are really upset at a lukewarm take lmao
@@Pelayum Bruh she already tweeted out that she tired of both remakes and remasters. Wtf are you even on about here? Suspiciously she posted about hating on Silent Hill 2 remake just couple of days before its release. Tired of both remakes and remasters and yet she glazing over Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster then got excited for Soul Reaver remasters. There's a huge difference between not interested with Silent Hill 2 remake and straight up hating on it then made a statement how she tired of remakes and remastered and claimed company like Konami didn't have new ideas despite they announced two new games in development. lol That's not a lukewarm take. That's hypocrisy. Clearly you have poor comprehension and just blindly defending her without actually knowing the entire context of the situation. What a shocker, she's Capcom ambassador. No wonder she glorified everything Capcom has done and trash on a competition like Konami.
@@zeroskaterz92 Way to criticize someone's reading comprehension and then immediately misinterpret, misread, and poorly analyze an entire topic. Really showed me there. She was critical on Dead Rising. Even her video title on the video is her being mixed on the game. She says she doesn't like most of the changes done to the game outside of gameplay, especially the dialogue and voice acting changes. Her excitement for Soul Reaver and video on Dead Rising were before her take. I said she was excited for Soul Reaver, but she will not be covering them. She'll likely play them on stream and call it there. She's a Hideo and Team Silent Fangirl. Suzi stated that she isn't going to be covering Metal Gear or RE Remakes. Hold her to that take if anything at all. Hating on Silent Hill Remake? She was critical on it, only stating she isn't a fan of the direction they were taking the remake in and that she doesn't like Bloober as a studio. Which was a big consensus leading up to the games release. I'm assuming you're just forming your opinion on this based on Twitter quotes and TH-cam comments and cementing that as a fact
I like Sphere Hunter's content a lot, but it seems weird to single out Silent Hill 2 like this. She discussed Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and the Resident Evil trilogy GoG re-release in the last few weeks. SH2 remake seems to have much more work put into it than those titles.
@@Mikedagraaff I feel you. I sympathize with her on this, though. I'm pretty exhausted on remakes now. She loves the original Silent Hill trilogy (I believe 3 is her favorite)
I've lost all respect for suzi, seriously watching her content was very entertaining but she's becoming an absolute villain, I'm done, I barely watch her content anyway and her disrespecting akira yamaoka and konami was the biggest insult to someone who loves all the silent hill games and music (classic ones anyway). BTW looking forward to the remake, looks absolutely amazing!
Honestly yeah. I like a lot of her content. The way she structures her videos is entertaining. Great background content you can listen to. However her disrespecting Akira Yamaoka like that was shitty. Disrespecting Konami I could care less, but being an ass to the composer of some of the best video game music ever is just not a good look.
@@nostalgicfanatic I mean, I'm not shedding any tears over people disrespecting Konami as they've kind of set themselves up for that. Insulting Yamaoka was completely uncalled for though.
@@Scarecrowbooger I agree especially growing up playing the original 3 games, I would understand more if she didn't play the original or just outright didn't like it but still she came off very very negative to Akira, one of THE best composer for a franchise i and many other people love.
@@nostalgicfanatic I don't know. She's kinda weird when it comes to Silent Hill. She has playthroughs up on twitch of her playing SH3 and I think she likes the game at the very least enjoys it. The other games though I just get the vibe that she doesn't really care for them which is why she hasn't covered them in a video.
Signalis literally exists to fill the empty space left by the lack of Silent Hill. It’s a Silent Hill clone. Hilarious to glaze that game while shitting on a remake of the same franchise.
Because Signalis is a new game. Her stance is that she doesn't want developers to solely remake old games and wants their creative liberties to be in full force. She hates the "support the remake and get more" mentality that's been afloat too
@@Pelayum I can totally get behind the idea of shitting on the lack of creativity in the gaming space. That’s factual. But Signalis is a silent hill clone. Why are these content creators okay with indie knock offs (even good ones) but not remakes? A remake of a 20 year old game is totally acceptable imo, and should not be grouped together with cheap gash grabs like last of us part 1, until dawn, and horizon.
@@residentevilclone I wouldn't go as far to say Signalis is a clone of Silent Hill. Yes it takes creative liberties from both Silent Hill and old Resident Evil, but it's definitely its own thing. And a great one at that. I completely agree with you on those other remakes/remasters
hyped myself. I am cautiously optimistic. Love silent hill 2 and going through a big horror phase. Recently beat tormented souls and loved it. Hopefully silent hill 2 pulls it off. LOVE that you can turn off all the button prompts and play it in full immersion mode. When they announced that my hype shot up!
Since I was recommended this, I decided to give my own two cents: First off, it was very unnecessary for Sphere Hunter to insult Yamaoka and his compositions. I understand not finding certain music to be one's taste, it was just needlessly insulting his art and that could've been left out. Second, considering how difficult it is for most people to play the original SH2 since it isn't as well preserved compared to RE4, that's been ported to practically every platform. I don't see the issue with SH2R's existence. Especially since this would also be a safer option for Konami to regain the trust from fans, and I could also say the same for MGS:Delta in regards to pleasing and regaining trust from fans.. Not only that but SH2R *is* still a new game regardless on whether one likes it or not and Konami's developing multiple other SH games alongside SH2R. I just think that maybe, without having to say it outright, that she just doesn't really like or care for SH as a series. From what the comments I've read mentioned, she only seems to mildly care for SH3. Which is fine. If we talk about "unnecessary remakes to make", no matter how much I've enjoyed both OG RE4 and RE4make, there are a few RE games that could've been handed one before 4 got one; any of the Outbreak or Survivor titles, Code Veronica... I would've thought about any of these first before 4. RE4 wouldn't be on my radar, personally. The other thing that had me to wonder as well; say Capcom decided to announce a remake of Dino Crisis, RE remake or DMC remake, or hell, if even SE announces a remake of Parasite Eve: what would she say about any of these without coming across as a bit hypocritical? Not that I completely disagree with her on this point or anything.
Her superiority complex since she got best friends with capcom and did voice acting is hilarious to witness. Like get off your high horse girl, you being mad at Konami and Yamaoka wont prevent SH2 from selling, better cope with its incoming success.
Rumors have it she was turned down for a sponsor ship and that's why she's acting a fool. If that's so, she's salty with a vendetta. But, her success over the years has changed her letting out the real Suzi.
Has nothing to do with a sponsorship. She's been vehemently against the idea of SH2 remake ever since it was rumored to be in the works not trusting modern day Konami to do it justice. She's also got beef with Bloober so when it was announced they would be doing it she immediately wrote it off.
@@ians_parks She's even more of a fool than I thought then. Because clearly the game keeps getting better and they are actually listening to fans. So her strange boycott makes zero sense
Capcom puts out 3 remakes in a decently short time and yet Konami dropping one is what gets her to stop?. I fucking despise re3 remake but that’s not going to make me not give silent hill 2 a chance
She gave that garbage 8/10. I called her out. Calling this Jill perfect and remake almost perfect. She then backtracked the fuck up after public opinion about that game became very clear and made a correctional video
The RE3 remake was just a rushed out, wholly incomplete cash grab that was not given the special treatment it should have gotten. But I also didn't care much for the RE4 remake either, mostly from a story axis and not the gameplay.
Yeah imo it would've been smarter to just say "yeah, I'm not really interested in this particular game" rather than try to say that you're tired of remakes. Cause the second Capcom announces like a Dino Crisis remake or a Code Veronica remake, they'll be hyping those games up to the moon, appearing in Capcom dev videos, etc lmao.
I would 100% be all for a Dino Crisis or Parasite Eve remake, to be honest. I am also kind of tired with the constant remakes though, but I'm more than happy to acknowledge that an abundance of remakes has not been a Konami issue. Over the past few years, that's primarily been a Capcom thing. Besides that, acting like Konami isn't allowing their creative teams to do work on new games is a bit ridiculous when they announced 2 new Silent Hill games alongside the 1 remake. I do hate the hypocritical route she decided to go with this. The way she handled this seemed more spiteful than anything.
I loved her content. And are a fan of hers, but her disrespecting Yamaoka casually (especially assuming she doesn’t know the guy personally.) puts a sour taste in my mouth. Yamaoka’s music, the silent hill soundtrack, is what got me into Silent Hill in the first place, and that was a couple months before the remake came out as I heard “a stray child” on SoundCloud while I was writing something. Yamaoka’s style was one I had never heard of before, atmospheric, calming, chilling, and horrifying. I saw the talent of that man without actually playing the games and only got convinced to check out the games through the guy. The dude is undoubtedly talented and even if he’s working with the competition of the company you work for, you can still go about fighting their battles without being disrespectful. (Even if I’ve never understood the concept of being completely biased nor do I plan to understand it.) “I don’t care what he has to say.” I got pissed off on an instant after hearing that 💀
One of the most memorable things about first four SH games is soundtrack. All games had great OST, but SH2 was top tier, literally every track is mini masterpiece, to the point that they just remastered it for remake. It's literally the same soundtrack just updated sound design by Akira Yamaoka-san. Heck even Homecoming actually had good soundtrack, even tho game itself was quite bad.
@@njmfff exactly. I’m new to the SH franchise, but Yamaoka has become one of my favorite composers for Video game soundtrack alongside Amon Tobin and Micheal McCann. Mad respect for Yamaoka. Regardless, you just don’t disrespect talent like that. If he was an asshole and they had history together I’d get it. But as far as I know, the lady is only saying “I don’t care what he has to say” just because the guy works with the competitor or something.
Its so hypocritical of her to say this “but if you watched my videos, you’ll see that I say i don’t like remakes” but then proceeds to upload the videos singing its praises with RE 2 3 4, Dead space, and FF7 remake, SH2 should be no different, shit is so corny, I loved her content but its hard to take her opinions seriously after this, she should just say she got beef with the SH series at this point, explains why she never covered the original games on her channel
Just because the title remake is there doesn't mean the quality is good. Did you forget RE3 Remake? Also you woke consumers are lucky that bloober didn't mess this up. Otherwise you would have joined the hate train too.
Funnily enough i remember in 2021 when No More Heroes 3 just released she was streaming it and a guy in chat asked her about if she would cover Silent Hill and i remember her tone was very direct and dismissive saying she doesn't want to cover any of them at all as they are depressing and very much wanted to change the subject so i think the subject matter and the style and tone being more serious and psychological isn't for her but honestly i trust my instincts and once she started becoming best buds with the RE voice actors you could see her ego inflate and superiority complex. Ever since then just avoided her content
Not sure what her deal is. I guarantee the same energy won't be had for the next RE remake. I understand not liking remakes in principle sort of, but if the game is good then it's a win for the consumers. And it's not like the original will ever be erased from history. Really seems like a statement for clout and attention.
Suzi is the type of person I feel like, that would buy and play Silent Hill 2 Remake and then make a tweet a few days later saying "I ended up buying the game for myself" and make some excuse as to why she bought the game
Real funny how just 10 days earlier she was singing the praises of the dead rising remake on twitter but now she wants to diss the silent hill 2 remake cause they’re not interested in slipping her a free copy to be their personal concubine like capcom is.
If the game is good then it's good, it being a remake is irrelevant to me. They will eventually run out of acclaimed games to remake and be forced to make new games. Also there is a mountain of indie games to play if I want something new, so there is room for both.
shes a shill. depending on who's paying her she'll parrot what they want her to say but will "change" her opinion at the drop of a hat if it benefits her. how anyone takes her seriously is wild to me
SH2 Remake is a masterpiece; it’s actually better than all the RE remakes which have come out in recent years. Not the RE1 Remake but RE2R and RE3R definitely. I think what Sphere Hunter said is definitely just a bias for Capcom.
@@justenbenally522 The SH2 remake just doesn't have the same soul as the original. But to be fair, the original Silent Hill 2 was a lightning in a bottle moment.
Wouldn't call it a masterpiece. it's definitely not better than the original, but its still miles better than any of Capcoms remakes and i say that as an RE fan.
My opinion but I've notice their are 3 major camps who hate this remake, the og purist , anti woke people and the resident evil fans who seem to fear the resurgence of the Silent hill franchise
I'm "anti woke" or whatever label you people give us. But I'm excited for this game. DEI sucks though. And hit Detection like SBI should go kick rocks.
Resident Evil fans? There hasn't been 'beef' since Team Silent was a thing. It's mostly purists, which is fair because initially Bloober was missing the point of the game. Being skeptical is par for the course on a Remake of a beloved game
Tf you on? Re fans couldn't care less about competition we are just happy the Genre is making a resurgence. I am damn excited to play Silent Hill 2 Remake, as both an Resident Evil fan and a fan of the OG trilogy.
The last camp seems like fanfic. Are there really rezzie fans like that? I thought we all enjoyed both franchises- or at least, specific games from both franchises
I'm a fan of Sphere Hunter, but this is such a strange take. Out of all games, Silent Hill 2 NEEDS a remake. The game is incredibly hard to play, legitimately. (The ps2 game costs waaaay too much, ps3 remaster is bad, and some people won't be willing to play the enhanced edition.) She never made a Silent Hill video on a survival horror TH-cam channel, so does she not enjoy Silent Hill games? There is no way she would say this about any future Resident Evil remakes. It's fine, if she doesn't want to play. This just seems like she's just coming up with a reason to get her fans off her back about covering it.
Well in her defense everyone thought SH2 remake was gonna be garbage until like 2 days when everyone finally got to see the entire game. It's a solid remake but not a masterpiece like the OG trilogy. Same with the RE & DS remakes, solid but nothing special.
I wasn't gonna comment anything, but the Yamaoka thing changed my mind. I like Spherehunter's videos. She produces great content , but I do not think she likes Silent Hill besides SH3. There's nothing wrong with not liking a video game series, but for years she's been gaslighting people into thinking that she'll cover a Silent Hill game and I think that's just weird. Obviously if you love a game, especially a game as intricate like SH you'd want to talk about it. I don't get that vibe from her honestly. I don't think she's a Capcom shill. Just think she doesn't like Silent Hill. Which is fine, I guess.
She's never posted a single Silent Hill video ever, not even for PT (y'know the thing that helped revive Resident Evil after the dumpster fire that was RE6). I guess it's what you'd call being a die hard Capcom horror fan I guess? Or just secretly still bitter 2 decades later that the original Silent Hill games did horror better than the silly zombie games targeted to teenagers but hey, not hating just stating.
I mean, people can like what they like. I don't have any problem if she likes Resident Evil but doesn't enjoy Silent Hill and I don't mind if anyone has the opposite opinion. But she hasn't really made this an issue prior with other games. Capcom has released _multiple_ remakes and she was all for the Dead Space Remake. It just seems a bit ridiculous/hypocritical for her to only start drawing the line when it comes to Silent Hill. But, beyond that, her criticism doesn't even make sense. Like, yes, Konami is releasing a remake but they've also already announced 2 brand new Silent Hill games with Silent Hill F and Townfall. Now whether or not those end up being good games is still up in the air, but acting like they aren't allowing their teams to make new games is a bit ridiculous. As much as I like Suzi, this really does come across as her just giving preferential treatment to Capcom. They've done remake after remake (most of which I've enjoyed, personally) and she hasn't had any problem with it. The second the competing company drops a remake, it's a problem. I think the biggest problem is that I don't even completely disagree with her that the remake-after-remake thing has gotten a bit ridiculous, but that's primarily been a Capcom thing lately.
She played silent hill 3 on stream a while back but i honestly dont know or remember why she never did a video on one of the most prolific horror series in video game history
These were the Pillars of RE7 when they started talking about making the game in 2014 February stop spreading misinformation Clown Horror In the Vein of Evil Dead First Person, Photorealistic Single Player experience no co op Refence to past titles kept to a minimum
SH did horror better, yet somehow series has been dormant since 2008, and hasn't had financially successful game since SH3 (with SH4 being mild success), while Resident Evil is still going strong and has never dropped the ball. Even RE6 which is sorta black sheep has been huge success financially, it's just Capcom was smart to see that their next game won't do well if they continue with "Michael Bay" types of RE. In fact RE6 was one of the most successful games in series, surpassed only by more "modern" games (aka RE7 and after that). Also I am in my mid 30s and I have loved RE games since 90s, and I also love first four SH games. It's dumb, immature people like you who are still stuck in Sega Vs Nintendo war, who think you must hate one if you love the other.
Silent hill didn’t do a single thing better than Resident evil. Its gameplay sucks, its characters are boring, its stories consist of “wow something bad happened to me, I have trauma!” And all of this will come to light when Konami abandons this garbage again. Very soon.
She didn't want a SH2 remake because she had no confidence in modern day Konami to do it justice, and she already had beef with Bloober Team for their portrayal of mental illness in their previous game. Knowing they would be remaking SH2 made her a hater from day 1 and she fully expected it to bomb and be critically panned. That didn't happen so now she is being petty.
Some of these comments are so gross. I agree that she’s a Capcom shill and is being disingenuous. What’s up with the misgendering tho? Y’all are so lame for that
Well right in the beginning of this video you basically solved the mystery of why shes stanning for REmakes while giving SH2 the stinkeye. If shes working with Capcom, they probably arent happy about the competition and being "copied." So shes gonna stan for Capcom.
This one actually makes me dislike SphereHunter a bit. I didn't have much faith in the SH2 remake until it came out, but of all the classic survival horror games, it needed a remake the most. The barrier to entry playing the original SH2 gets higher and higher each year as physical copies become scarcer and a remaster won't work because Konami lost the damn source code and assets from the original. Of all the remakes to hate on, this is a pretty disappointing one from her.
Even as a fan of Suzi's content, this is a take not even I agree with. If she had handled the situation by just saying she wasn't gonna play it instead doing a rant on remakes and remasters, we wouldn't be having this discussion. I do sympathize, somewhat, on her saying that she is tired of remakes. I also knew, beforehand, that she was tired of them from her recent video on RE: Village AND that she wasn't playing SH2R, but I didn't think it was this bad. Personally? With all due respect to her skills as a creator, I don't care what she says, at the end of the day. If given the chance, I'd play SH2R, despite my hardware, or DRDR (even if her opinion is more mixed on it from what I've seen) as one has surpised me from what I've seen and the other is a remake-ish of a game that holds a special place in my heart. All in all, I disagree with her take, but not enough for me to stop watching.
No she has played them at least 1-3. She likes SH3 a lot and has 3 playthroughs on it on her twitch. I personally think she doesn't like the other games and is just afraid to say it.
Looks like the SH2 is shaping up to be a higher quality remake than the recent RE remakes, Suzi is probably pissed Silent Hill is taking all the light off of Resident Evil.
I'm gonna be honest, it's a little embarrassing being a silent hill fan now. I turn 19 soon, and I wasn't really that around when the original games came out, but even now after I've gotten to enjoy them, I like how they're making the game for new audiences. Yet seeing the hate the game gets EVEN IF IT HASN'T BEEN RELEASED YET, it pains me to see.
Hell, you literally weren't around when the first one released. I was. I played it. I loved it. I'm 35 now, and I'm stoked for the remakes. I loved the games because that was how games were at the time. Nowadays, I'm spoiled; I want a game that looks good and feels good. Y'know, fun. So don't be embarrassed. Anyone that's gonna try to big dick you over some OG BS is full of shit, delusional, or both.
I can respect her choice not to cover the Silent Hill 2 remake, I can understand if she has some sort of vendetta against Konami, but her take about remakes in general literally makes no sense. A lot of us (especially console gamers) who are new to the SH franchise have almost no way to play the original games, whether its through emulation or buying a $300 copy off of ebay, I want to have reasonable access to play these games. If a developer decides to revitalize them with a fresh coat of paint, more palettable gameplay mechanics, and does a good job with them, then I'd be okay with that. (Hence, the Resident Evil 2 remake, one of my favorite horror games, and one that she has covered and praised) I agree, not every game needs a remake, but with a franchise like Silent Hill, that I can accept. Also, that comment she made about Akira Yamaoka honestly shocked me. I don't know why she would say something like that about the guy, but that was so unnecessarily mean-spirited and just simply... childish.
im a big fan of suzi but jesus i dont know what she was thinking.... it was a terrible take on her part, in her logic if resident evil code veronica or 5 gets a remake she better not play those or review em. she is just BEGGING for people to call her out.
I stopped being a fan of her when I realized how much of a Capcom shill she turned into. Defending RE3MAKE then going on to lie in her RE4make review about cut content. She said "nothing is missing except for like one boss" 😅
Y’know, I frequent Suzi’s content quite a bit. Whether it’s by a post on Twitter, or a video pops up on my feed. However, this feels like she’s not telling everything. There’s definitely something else to this, but for why she’s not saying is kinda pathetic. She could at the very least just TRY to tell us why she won’t play the game, rather than just say “well, no.”
I used to like her stuff but disregarding Yamaoka's work is insane Im an re fan and theres no denial SH has better soundtracks compared to RE series as a WHOLE re4 soundtrack is the best imo but insulting Yamaoka's work and the Developers by saying its just a money grab I can say the same thing of the games she's been glazing for almsot a decade now, lmao such an ignorant take and biased opinion.
I won't call the Silent Hill soundtrack better than Resident Evil, both games just have soundtracks that serve different purposes. Silent Hill is more focused on getting to your psyche and pulling an emotional response out of you. Resident Evil soundtracks want you to feel the stages of survivability as you are playing, like the solace of a safe place or the dread of being alone. But, this does not at all take away from the fact that Yamaoka is fking musical genius, Theme of Laura is one of my favourite instrumentals of all time period.
I followed Suzi for long but this take really surprises me, if anyone I'd expect her to be hyped for this as so far SH2 Remake seems to be about on the same level as the RE remakes which she was crazy over (and me too, they are great, there isn't a perfect game but RE4R is about as close to 10/10 as it can get), staying loyal to the original but changing the bosses, changing things here and there, changing things that weren't great, overall the reviews seem to like it. "Being done with even the RE remakes?" Come on, pretty hipocritical to me
Remake looks good, thank the freakin' Gods, because I really want that SH comeback. Unlike RE which only has one retarded game (RE6, which btw was actual financial success, however people hated it), SH had string of really bad games. They really need this remake to succeed, and ngl, I was very skeptical because Konami hasn't really treated this franchise the best.

In some ways I feel that remakes are important, it gives more to love for people who played the originals and it introduces the game to a brand new audience who would have never played the game otherwise. I do think that maybe some devs remake a game so they can cash in on the same game twice but there's also those devs that do it because they felt they could do better with a title now then they did previously.
Be careful now she has friends like PatStaresAt who will ride or die with any dumbass takes Spherehunter has and will probably call you an ist or ism over it, along with his viewers. Alan wake 2 was extremely bad and boring too, but...
Where KONAMI is typical greedy corp which doesn't care at all about it's IP, all that matter is $$$$
CAPCOM actually respects what it has, and if fans don't like or hate on smth -> like passing beloved DMC to some western, lame developer, they actually listened and gave us DMC4:SE and then DMC5. Same goes for RE. After terrible 6, they actually listened to fans and made good 7.

Her issue with SH2 remake is that it wasn't made by capcom so she just hates it by default
One thing that's funny to me is that she said play Signalis. The game that's heavily influenced by Silent Hill.
I stopped caring about that weirdo's content years ago lmao. SH2R is very good, so much better than RE3R, Dead Space Remake, and several others.

Happens when your hormones are unbalanced
Has nothing to do with a sponsorship. She's been vehemently against the idea of SH2 remake ever since it was rumored to be in the works not trusting modern day Konami to do it justice. She's also got beef with Bloober so when it was announced they would be doing it she immediately wrote it off.

She never made a Silent Hill video on a survival horror TH-cam channel, so does she not enjoy Silent Hill games? There is no way she would say this about any future Resident Evil remakes.
It's fine, if she doesn't want to play. This just seems like she's just coming up with a reason to get her fans off her back about covering it.
Well in her defense everyone thought SH2 remake was gonna be garbage until like 2 days when everyone finally got to see the entire game. It's a solid remake but not a masterpiece like the OG trilogy. Same with the RE & DS remakes, solid but nothing special.
So glad someone is covering this. Awful take from her
suzi shill hunter is a terrible content creator with terrible takes, glad she blocked me
I'm glad she actually exposed herself with that tweet, showing her true colors to everyone
He
Sad i loved her detailed content, but seems like she's another Glazer
Now that Bloober just announced a new horror IP, she's been awfully quiet...
I mean it's not the first time in his/her life that does a 180, some people change point of viewes just like that.
Suzy really is trippin balls
Lickin' & Succin' said balls
It really feels like she's just being spiteful towards Konami
If it wasn't obvious enough she literally insults Akira Yamaoka by saying his music is "Throwing a brick into a washing machine"
@@Bloodhurl67 Now that's going too far. Also, it's a dude 😂
@vicente3k Aah right he is a dude
These were the Pillars of RE7 when they started talking about making the game in 2014 February stop spreading misinformation Clown

Its gameplay sucks, its characters are boring, its stories consist of “wow something bad happened to me, I have trauma!”
And all of this will come to light when Konami abandons this garbage again. Very soon.
why does she have so much smoke for SH2?? does she hate the og? either way isnt it’s success also good for RE as something in same genre??
She didn't want a SH2 remake because she had no confidence in modern day Konami to do it justice, and she already had beef with Bloober Team for their portrayal of mental illness in their previous game. Knowing they would be remaking SH2 made her a hater from day 1 and she fully expected it to bomb and be critically panned. That didn't happen so now she is being petty.
Silent Hill 2 is a great game. The only reason it needs a remake is cause they are not ported to modern consoles.
I hate when good TH-camrs show their true colors. I like the world of make believe…sigh.
Some of these comments are so gross. I agree that she’s a Capcom shill and is being disingenuous. What’s up with the misgendering tho? Y’all are so lame for that
Yeah I agree, it's dissapointing. I think they do it out of fear
I agree, misgendering is awful. Clearly a dude.
But she is a male
Well right in the beginning of this video you basically solved the mystery of why shes stanning for REmakes while giving SH2 the stinkeye. If shes working with Capcom, they probably arent happy about the competition and being "copied." So shes gonna stan for Capcom.
She's such a hypocrite omg🤨
This one actually makes me dislike SphereHunter a bit. I didn't have much faith in the SH2 remake until it came out, but of all the classic survival horror games, it needed a remake the most. The barrier to entry playing the original SH2 gets higher and higher each year as physical copies become scarcer and a remaster won't work because Konami lost the damn source code and assets from the original. Of all the remakes to hate on, this is a pretty disappointing one from her.
Her take is so bizarre from every angle you look at it from.
Yall this silent hill 2 remake, got me ishing myself its good, the devs imo knocked this damn thing out the park
Sphere Hunter comes off as someone whos never played the originals before.
Her voice annoys me. Ngl
i appreciate that you respect her
I can respect her choice not to cover the Silent Hill 2 remake, I can understand if she has some sort of vendetta against Konami, but her take about remakes in general literally makes no sense.
I don't know why she would say something like that about the guy, but that was so unnecessarily mean-spirited and just simply... childish.
It doesnt make sense. To me it sounds like something personal.
im a big fan of suzi but jesus i dont know what she was thinking.... it was a terrible take on her part, in her logic if resident evil code veronica or 5 gets a remake she better not play those or review em. she is just BEGGING for people to call her out.
I stopped being a fan of her when I realized how much of a Capcom shill she turned into. Defending RE3MAKE then going on to lie in her RE4make review about cut content. She said "nothing is missing except for like one boss" 😅
If people don't wanna play silent hill 2 remake then they don't have to.
That's so crazy because when he said they "came out with a whole roadmap" I was thinking the same exact thing. I dunno what Suzi is talking about.
As a Konami hater myself, I am offended by Sphere Hunter's actions 👎
Y’know, I frequent Suzi’s content quite a bit. Whether it’s by a post on Twitter, or a video pops up on my feed. However, this feels like she’s not telling everything. There’s definitely something else to this, but for why she’s not saying is kinda pathetic. She could at the very least just TRY to tell us why she won’t play the game, rather than just say “well, no.”
ngl they actually did justice with the silent hill 2 remake
Wasn't sphere hunter talking in satanic tongues when someone trolled her by saying she would enjoy silent hill 2 remake?
From what i can tell it seems like a cowardice behavior of avoiding SH so she can glaze RE (Resident Evil)
@@njmfff RE6 went on sale the first week to get the sales up.
RE5, Revalations 1 and 2 are also trash.
And Village is also easily the worst out of all the RE engine games. This franchise really ain't as good as you think it is.
@@jinxxx9031 Dude I don't even know what you are trying to argue here. RE is far far more successful then SH.
Just because you don't like those games doesn't make them bad or means people don't like them.
You're literally trying to argue that F13th isn't one of the most successful horror franchise because you don't like it.
@@njmfff When did i say SH was more successful than RE lmao??? I said that RE has had several shit games.
@@jinxxx9031I still have no idea what you are actually trying to argue.
Bad games according to who? You? Critics, fans response and sales prove otherwise.
Could care less about what both have to say about the SH2 remake. I am having so much fun with it and am loving all the new stuff they added to the game.
It just comes down to sponsorships. Will glaze a remake if they pay her to but will shit on it if they won’t.
Yea kinda shocking and random the yamaoka shade
I agree with you too bro. I love Suzi’s content but man when I saw her tweet I was just like bruh she trippin fr. Like such a stupid tweet from her and uncalled for being a jerk to that one fan on Twitter not knowing she wasn’t interested on playing SH2 remake.

hypocrite indeed. I agree with 100% of your take.
I will definitely buy the remake, i love horror games, currently playing Alan wake 2, awesome game so far, i have a few days for finishing it. I'll tell you why she isn't if she covers Capcom and works with Capcom she literally can not Konami and Capcom have aways been rivals, more then likely Capcom told her no
It's hard for people to admit the last two years they spent bitching about speculation was absolutely unwarranted. 😂
Sphere Hunter is all over the Dead Space remake and the Resident Evil remakes but this is a step too far apparently. Lol.

Guys, its not about her not wating to play silent hill 2 remake, its about her being a hipocrit and saying that she is tired of remake when all she has been doing in the last is praise remakes, thats the issue
Is this even true? It seems so strange as to look like someone hacked their account. I find it extremely weird, especially since she's become friends with the actors from the resident evil remakes. Silent hill needed something like this to resurrect the series. If it's true, it's an extremely hypocritical and moronic attitude...
Man, disrespect for Yamaoka is real. But on the other hand I wouldn't be surprised if he really threw brick in the washing machine at least once. Funnily enough he really used non-musical objects in soundtracks for Silent Hill. Dentist drill machine have been used in the final battle theme of Silent Hill 1, for example. It can be used for fun, but yeah, she said it with such contempt.
